Mr man kindly point where he called Nigerian youths lazy, I might have missed it, I have provided references to the one i watched.

Does he has to say the word lazy for you to be sure he meant that?

His statement could be inferred to mean he meant Nigerian youths are lazy.

Nobody can defend or justify that senseless statement made by Buhari mbok.

Bros, am a field worker, I work in the creeks, somethings are better left unsaid.

A lot of youths down here they should not pay for anything, some are paid for doing nothing

That you are segmented to that particular environment doesn't accredit you to suppose that the youth are the cause of the economic melt down.

Do you even know that the youth are even the reason our economy still stands? Aba, Onitsha, Lagos, Ibadan, Kano and other industrial areas are what they're because persistent hardworking young men and women refuse to enjoy 8hrs sleep just to survive. These are fragment of a whole. Many do 3 jobs to keep up with life and its challenges, yet your BOSS says alot are LAZY. I just wish he realises the gravity of damages his words have created.

Chairman your statements are not straight forward, both state government and Federal government are Government. They are all not doing things right. They should put the blame on themselves not Nigerian youth

What caused all this laziness is them that refused to put things in place, rather they embezzled the nation resources and now have the authority to come and pure sand sand for our garri abroad.

If they can't fix it they should leave and let those who can to come

I only used those two arms to explain to you that government is doing something wrong, being the federal arm is do other job of states.

They are also doing things which they are not supposed to do, which is meant for the private sector, so as to siphon money.

Government needs to hands off a lot of things.

Like I asked where did he say youths are lazy, he talked about a certain type of people and you are generalising.
Kindly point to where Buhari said youths are lazy

What is 60% of 180million, what is ten percent of that.

Mr man, incase you don't know over 5 million people below the age of 40 have no formal education, this is far more than some countries population and presents a very big problem.

That being said, half of Nigerian youths have no access to quality education and education aids. Our level of education is reflected in our society.

I think you misunderstand the fundamental factor that is causing so much emotional unrest. He didn't use those words in your quote. It's the effrontery he had to speak against the youths despite this administration not doing nearly enough to create an enabling environment that can empower the youth. No jobs, no significant skills acquisition programs, no protection against legal and illegal oppressors, yet we see young Nigerians leave to the diaspora and thrive massively, yet this government will be first to say they provided jobs in farms and thru N-power. Please does Yusuf or any of his siblings earn money from farming even tho they mite have access to capital? Does buhari own any business that has employed a significant number of youths or even encouraged them? Didn't lai mohammed encourage youths to become masquerades? Also, when have you seen a head of state speak ill about "a lot" of the youth from their respective countries? Even the hard working youth are constantly being harassed by SARS, Police and other authorities. This goes to underline why his media aides will go to extreme lengths to avoid unscripted interviews and Q&A sessions, because he lacks diplomacy and emotional intelligence, along with the abilities to express himself intellectually providing valid points, while avoiding trick questions that mite further reveal his incompetence. As a youth, how does the government support you, and how do they ensure that intended support gets to the targeted demographic without being diverted my polithiefcians and selfish individuals? Nigeria is blessed with creative and intellectual minds capable of achieving anything, anywhere. Of all the 180 million people, i refuse to believe, and find it insulting that a person of buhari's intellect was voted in to head the affairs of my country, our country. We need to right this wrong, it's not about who voted him in or not, the deed is done. We need to undo it and pass a message to the political elite that a new dawn is upon us, their recklessness and impunity will no longer go unpunished. They need to wipe away the impression that they are more important than us and remember their primary objective is to serve.

It seems u may have a different opinion so please answer me honestly, what remarkable, ingenious and effective initiative has this government put in place to alleviate the hardship and sufferings of the mass (especially the youth), also is it nearly enough to make a significant and sustainable impact to the lives of people?

Like I've told you before this argument started with people saying Buhari calling Nigerian youths lazy, not some Nigerian youths lazy.

Let it be our reference.
The statement might have been uncalled for, but it was the truth.
That is the point am driving at.

An argument can start from a point and spread into others so tell me, what's ur opinion about a person who is asked a question and he goes talking about damaging and disparaging stuff totally unrelated to the question asked in the glare of cameras and before an international audience? Is it lack of understanding or senility?

You really have a lot to understand.

Governance has gone beyond that stage, quite alright we have welfare states and the rest.
Currently Nigeria style of Government is geared towards making of policies, monitoring those implementing those policies and provision of certain infrastructure which should not be paid for.
In other words, we are to make policies for the provision of water, but give the licences out for companies to provide it then monitor them.
As far as ministries and parastatals manage this things, and receive their salary at the end of the day, irrespective of what they turn in, you will have non functional systems.
So they best thing is to hand it over to the private see while monitoring it.

Dude can't u just learn and save yourself the stress of writing plenty jargons,so Mr current affairs can you highlight the policy of the Nigerian government for us pls.

If the government is only interested in policies then they should stop collecting tax,as collection of tax will be counter productive.

Have u ever been out of Nigeria ever before like for real because in saner climes the government provides such basic amenities like electricity and water,I have no idea why Nigeria should be an exception, its lowlifes like u that find excuses for this incompetent politicians and u sure are one of the very lazy ones intellectually.

The President did not utter the word "LAZY", only the factually "LAZY" ones aka frustrated and disgruntled Igbos, anti Nigerian elements and worthless and troubled oppositions are bothered because of their own "LAZY" and ignorant interpretation of the President's remark.

That is for welfare states where government pays subsidies on those things.

In most cases they are PPP and managed by the private arm.

Beyond the stage, why was he unable to address issues raised in the question asked? Is it that he doesn't understand English? I know if ask u ur thought on investment in the North East and free trade in Africa even just between us where staging is not in issue, u will not start telling me about a lot of uneducated, lazy youths waiting for free handouts. So my question is, what was the connection? Should such statement have come up in response to those questions no matter the venue?

U know that's how he made that galling 97% and 5% arithmetic. A simple question about inclusive governance and the Niger Delta saw him yakking about election results and how this who gave 97% cannot be treated equally with those who gave 5%.

Aptly said.

The President had no right to say that to the international community about the people whom his administration hasn't provided the enabling environment for them to prosper by the works of their hand.

it is all manners of molestation all the way; from tax collector, tax chaser, motor stoppers to money looters, and a hard economy.

Responding to a question, President Buhari had cause to talk about some Nigerian youths, and he said: "We have a very young population; our population is estimated conservatively to be 180 million. More than 60 percent of the population is below the age of 30. A lot of them have not been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria has been an oil producing country, therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, healthcare, and education free

I believe that a lot of them is the cause of the problem.

I have explained this times without number, that in a country of 100 million youths, if as small in number as 200,000 are misled that is a lot.
Do not look at the percentage or fraction, look at the actual number.

Long and needless essay just to prove a point that doesn't exist because basic reading and comprehension failed you.

The President obviously did not say anything about Nigerian youths in general, you ignorantly and needlessly generalized his comment.

The fact that the President did not generalize and even used % in his comment means some and not all should be easy for you as an adult to understand and properly translate.

How hard is it to read, comprehend, logically translate and contextualize basic English words?

If you ask APC members to mention one Youth empowerment policy, they keep mute, please burn some MB listening to Sowore on youtube, enough of this APC, PDP crap who are the same thing, if Buhari had been offered a presidential ticket by the PDP he would have taken it just like Atiku, they have no plan, they just want to be in power. This is probably our last chance. Why these same old foools who in their right senses would hire a 75 years old sickly man to lead their company?
