I just recently started a fish farm and have gone through the motions as described by the post that informed your reply and would very much want to learn more form interactions like this. For a start, what is the age, in weeks, of juveniles and how much is cost per one? what feed is adequate for them and how much to feed at what frequency if one starts with 500?

Help yourself with information here. You can ask any question that is not clear to you thereafter.

Do critical research on the following:
1. Fish farming water management
2. Feed production
3. Hatching: fries nursing and fingerling production
4. Alternative energy source

These are the foundation of fish farming business. You have to be prepare to extensively master these acts

On Saturday 31st of March, few of us from this forum gathered at Ogba, in Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State to share experiences, and discuss operational challenges to successful Catfish rearing. We shall be having another "Catfish Production Experience sharing gathering" on Saturday 5th of May 2018 at the same venue. Time is 9am-11am prompt.

The gathering is for all aspects of catfish rearing -
fingerlings production, growout production, feed utilization techniques, and many other experiences in Catfish farm operations.

This is an opportunity for intending catfish farmers, and practicing farmers having production challenges. Let us solve the production challenges together and grow together. This is a viable industry.

Attendance is FREE, however if interested, contact 0802-334-0270 (call/WhatsApp) for registration and details.
Only limited people can be accommodated, in view of the time frame, to allow detailed discussion.
