northerners are the curse of one naijeriya angry

the bane of one naijiriya's growth, progress and future

north can never produce good leader...

markashii is just another abok1...another product of a useless quota system..another uneducated born to rule mentality dimwit who thinks he has what it takes to lead the useless backward one nijiriya to the promised land...but he's no different from the rest..yeah deep down same abok1 like the roadside meisuya or almajiri ..religious bigot, fundamentalist, tribal and ethnic supremacist, zero ideal or clear cut plan or idea how to take his own local government to the next level let alone a big jungle like one nijiriya all they are after is power ,nothing else...Nigerian must realize that for the country to truly progress in all ramification, we all must stop voting the illiterate north ,bursting at the seam with army of uneducated brainwashed and mostly radicalized, lazy ,drug addict youth..until this is done..the jungeria keeps getting messier while Thomas Hobbs's STATE OF NATURE keep roaming on four legs throughout the one nijiriya and masses keep paying the price of indecisiveness, apathy, indifference and common sense

1. Makarfi Enjoys Goodwill of Northern Nigeria
In Kaduna state and the entire northern Nigeria, there is no single individual today that enjoys the goodwill more than Senator Ahmed Makarfi.

The minority northern Christians love him for displaying rare leadership that is lacking among Nigeria's elites by implementing policies and making utterances that unify and not those that further divide. The Muslims love him for displaying true Islamic virtue despite the fact that he isn't a vocal proponent of Shari'a like other hypocritical leaders.

Makarfi equally enjoys respect of northern elite, Christan association, non indigenous people and those in the middle belt for his consistent display of brotherly love and unity as Governor and Senator. As Senator, he backed the agitation for the creation of Gurara state for people of Southern Kaduna despite the fact that he is from Northern Senatorial district. No wonder he is so loved by the people.

2. Makarfi Is Honest, The Real "Mai Gaskyya"

It is rare in this part of the world to find a man or woman that held political positions of Governor and influential Senator for straight sixteen years without a SINGLE indictment for corruption. Ahmed Makarfi showed this rare trait that not even his traducers could pin him with anything. He is the only PDP Presidential Aspirant without indictment of graft as Governor, Senator, Chairman Senate Account Committee and former National Chairman, all within this present 4th republic.

Nigerians are aware that President Muhammadu Buhari, the false "mai Gaskyya", could not live up to the incorruptible garment worn on him during his campaign in 2015, he has proven to be false with the incessant corruption by his government and officers close to him, and his shielding of alleged corrupt allies.

3. Makarfi Is Sellable In Southwest

Come 2019 southwest, the zone of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who many see as a disappointment, will again be the golden bride. The zone is reputed to be the most critical of candidates when it comes to election- all thanks to their political sophistication.

Southwestern voting pattern is usually unpredictably predictable. They consider antecedents of aspirants, performance of incumbents and reputation of candidates before deciding on their vote. They speak less and act more.

In 2011 they rewarded Goodluck Jonathan who came with his promise of Fresh Air but punished PDP in states and National Assembly elections, in 2014 they punished incumbent Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti but rewarded incumbent Rauf Aregbesola in Ekiti and Osun gubernatorial poll respectively. They punished Goodluck Jonathan and PDP in 2015 Presidential election in favor of "change" of Muhammadu Buhari but with the disappointing performance of President Buhari, it is only fair that PDP present an aspirant that has integrity, reputation, nonreligious/nontribal posture and one with excellent antecedent to these sophisticated people as the best alternative. Without a single corruption indictment from ANY quarters (not even one of his fiery successor and incumbent Nasir Elrufai), without allegations of religious or ethnic bias at any time, with a calm but non controversial disposition, and with reputable leadership achievements and experience, Senator Ahmed Makarfi perfectly fits the bill.

4. Makarfi Is Sellable/Acceptable In Southeast And Southsouth*

People of the southeast geopolitical zone have two unique needs; "a favorable and enabling environment to live and Operate their business" and "sense of belonging as equal partner in the Nigeria project". Absence of both by successive administration led to the call for secession.

Senator Makarfi has the reputation of providing favorable environment for people irrespective of ethnic group or religion, he also believes every stakeholder is key in the Nigeria project, these he displayed in all public positions he held in terms of appointment and service delivery. The people of Kaduna state and Middlebelt could testify to this.

With these credentials it is very easy for the people of the southeast, having unanimously rejected president Buhari who called them 5% and has been trying to bully them with false 2023 presidency, to align with Makarfi's project knowing that their interests as a group is well protected.

While it is true that Southeast is a stronghold of PDP, it is only appropriate to give them a President that will carry them along in leadership and make them feel the pride of being Nigerians, which is lacking at present.

For the SouthSouth, Makarfi doesn't have to campaign as the people know him and remember him for his impeccable deeds.

5. Makarfi Captained The Resurgent PDP, Nigeria Deserve A Resurgence:
Nigerians and PDP members will agree that it took the efforts and leadership of Senator Ahmed Makarfi to ensure the non collapse of PDP even when it appeared all hope was lost. He stood firm, showed willingness to give up his position as National Chairman for the sake of the party only if then factional Chairman Ali Modu Sheriff would allow peace deal. He stood firm to see PDP bounce back even when all Governors under the party platform (including a certain aspirant) were playing hide and seek game save Governors Nyesom Wike and Ayo Fayose of Rivers and Ekiti states respectively. Makarfi maintained leadership and calm even after the setback from court of Appeal that declared him illegal, a pronouncement that even led some party chieftains (yours faithfully included) to seek a fresh alternative until the Supreme court right the wrong. He displayed rare leadership by extending hands of fellowship to Sheriff's group and prevailed on those that had left to return "home", which led to return of people, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Rasheed Ladoja, Gbenga Daniel and others.

Makarfi has earned the trusts of party members by not betraying the party like Sheriff did (due to his inordinate ambition), he deserve the ticket of the party so as to put Nigeria back on the pedestal of greatness to make our country great again.

6. Makarfi Possess Strong Electoral Value

In 1998 he won the Governorship election of Kaduna state by landslide. In 2003 he triumphed over Buhari backed Suleiman Hunkuyi despite the propaganda employed against him by Buharists that he was unfair to 'Muslims' and theyy even tagged him "Pastor Makarfi" just because he accommodated all religions. In 2007 he triumphed over Buhari backed ANPP candidate in the Senatorial election, delivered his Kaduna state to PDP in both Presidential and Gubernatorial elections of that year and in favor of Umaru Yar'adua and Namadi Sambo respectively. In 2011 he delivered Kaduna north senatorial zone and entire Kaduna state to Goodluck Jonathan and late Patrick Yokowa in the then Presidential and Governorship election, and retained his own Senatorial seat.

However, in 2015, after THREE straight victory over Buhari and his candidates, he lost for the first time due to no fault of his but the overgrown animosity against Goodluck Jonathan, the PDP and then incumbent Ramalan Yero after the people of Kaduna decided to give Buhari and his gang a trial, which they now regret.

It is instructive to note that Makarfi was begged by the All Progressive Congress to abandon PDP and Jonathan and make a switch like most of his colleagues had done but he declined. He believed and still believe that power comes from God.

He lost the Senate but God rewarded him the National Chairmanship of PDP, the largest party in Nigeria, where he served diligently. Nigerians need such a man for the Presidency because with Makarfi, we are assured that the country won't be betrayed

Who else could match these qualities?

If PDP should field Makarfi, buhari's will beat him, blue, black, pink, purple.

First of all, Makarfi is not popular in the north, I Base in the the north and have been there for more than 10 years.
Even in middle belt nobody knows Makarfi.
He will not even win in Kaduna state not to talk of far north or middle belt.

He will gallantly loose in the north.

How man Makarfi support groups have you seen in the south south or south east? How many of them have you seen in the south west?

My brother, the only place I agree with you is that, he's Detribalized, he won his election as governor arguably through the votes of Northern Kaduna that's predominantly Christian.

He's also stir the ship when the going was bad with PDP, he has good leadership qualities, no doubt.

But he's not Popular!

Surely you are right.

You see before now I did my research on all aspirants and there are some things that pit Makarfi out. It's not about money, truth is beyond politics we need a leader that will right many fundamental wrongs.

For instance, what's the need if we bring a "Yahaya Bello" in the name of party to come and further mess up the economy? of a Buhari kind of person with his divisive style and human right abuses that does not spare even party members? Beyond the partisan thing, we need a good leader for Nigeria.

Meanwhile, I encourage you to research more on Makarfi's credibility, performance and human right record. None of his co aspirant come close. In fact, ALL of them get one coma or the other EXCEPT Makarfi.

As for 3rd force, that doesn't work in Nigeria because it's same old crooks that lost out of power game.

Such comments littered nairaland here. They called Yoruba APC members all sorts of names for preferring Buhari to Jona. And of course, I could remember that PDP zoned their presidential candidate to north after 2015 election, immediately Jona lost. But naive comments were made before the election. Don't be clever by half.
Lols so you are attributing the activities of trolls to the party? Na wa you o

MESSAGE TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONCERNING PLATEAU KILLING AND HERDSMEN
CRISES.
Now everybody are unsafe and unsecured in Nigeria (our Father land), when this administration was voted in at the last presidential election, we all think our safety as been guaranteed and won't experience any security issues anymore in our country. But now, to my utmost surprise the rate at which lives and properties is been lost kept on increasing day after day, Lives of thousand of innocent people have been lost while properties worth millions as been destroyed. This security issues have caused a lot of harm and trauma and will still cause a lot more if the right thing panels are not been put in place to fight that as soon as possible.
People no longer live comfortably in their country to the extent some have even become beggars due to the mysterious attacks.
Every news in Nigeria seems to be from flame to fire and from bad to worse everyday, yesterday it was news of F-SARS harassing citizens, today it's the news of herdsmen attacks, tomorrow it might be a robbery attack while the following one might be that of kidnappers. We are unsecured, we can't sleep with our two eyes closed, we open one and close the other which is not supposed to be.
Concerning the plateau state crises that took over 86 lives in three local government at plateau state, i urge the plateau state governor and also the federal government to take the necessary actions by arresting and prosecuting the perpetrators. Though actions are ongoing, but enough have not been done. We all could remember what happened in the case of the Eastern whereby the federal government was quick to declare the perpetrators as a terrorist group while operation python dance by the Nigerian military was quick to action. Now the question is what has happened in the case of the herdsmen?
Nothing!
Probably the federal government thinks they are not terrorist or they have to wait until they kill us all before something will be done to that. I strongly agree with Femi Falana (SAN) that if the federal government fail to take appropriate action to stop the killings, "we shall not hesitate to report the authorities of the federal government and the plateau state government to the special prosecutor of the international criminal court for condoning crimes against humanity and genocide".
Nevertheless, I wish to sympathize with the government, family of those affected and the people of plateau state generally over the reckless and cold murder of more than 86 unarmed people in Barkin Ladi local government.
The mystery behind the Fulani herdsmen must be unravelled and something quick and drastic must be done to halt the killings that as become a normal daily routine for the killers. And Nigerians should know that more dangers lie ahead of us all. The coming elections could overshadow those massacre's as politicians will be more interested in their selfish political pursuits through their campaigns than directing resources to defend the people.
This year farming season could also be lost which could cause a great loss to the individual and the Government as a whole due to the killings which will discourage people from farming because most of the farmers that feed the nation are now refugees due to lack of proper security so, much should not be expected from them. To save their lives, most of them have decided to stay indoor during this farming season because nobody want to have his or her live lost.
I am whole and not divided the truth must prevail and must be said, its a whole lot of shame for the federal government first it was Benue followed by Zamfara to Taraba to Adamawa, oyo, ekiti and now plateau. Its quite devastating that our security agencies are not doing as expected because I think an operation is going on in the state so from this angle it could be learnt that this terrorist move in freely to those villages affected and overpowered the security agencies then carry out their evil act on innocent lives in their sleep. This is a big shame to the security agencies and the nation entirely.
Therefore, I urge the plateau and other states to establish grazing lands, feedlots and ranches for herdsmen who rear cattle in their state, while I also urge the government to make new law and enforce them. Once a terrorist is been apprehended, He/She should be prosecuted immediately no matter their ethnic group, religion or posts.
In other way, the government must try their possible best in fishing out the sponsors of the terrorist group and the executors because the executors are just messenger of the highest order. once the sponsors are been prosecuted the terrorist will surrender.
More so, the judicial system must be transparent and strong enough to put law offenders to a house of no return.
In conlusion, insecurity is a threat to livelihood, the government and security agencies should adhere to all areas of security issue starting from armed robbery, herdsmen attack, kidnappers etc. And make the issues of insecurity a thing of the past......Thank you
