Good evening mama's.

Abeg no waka pass cos we(hubby and I) don't want to do another vigilante this night. I no dy ask too much question

What can I use for my DD temperature, she's 23months? We've been on admission since Thursday and was discharged yesterday afternoon, the lab result showed malaria and infection. Yesterday night she started running temp that we wrapped her up with towel after pouring water on her and was taking turn to change the towel. Her temperature went from 38.8-37 yesterday night and I noticed she's cutting out her 2nd molar. We went to see a pediatrician this morning, he gave her injection for the fever, took her blood sample for another test and gave us Para, told us to stop ibuprofen. Told us he's suspecting sepsis, hubby is blaming me, her school and anything blameable.

Please is the new tooth the cause of the fever or my pregnancy(I'm 30+weeeks gone)? How can I stop the fever kpatakpata cos I'm tired

Pele. She will be fine. tell oga to take am easy with you. Just use the meds as prescribed by the doctor. I'm quite sure it will be mainly antibiotics.
She might have picked the infection from just anywhere. It is not your pregnancy that is causing anything...you that wee soon born wink except she is counting weeks with you and know she wee soon get attention rival.

We just rushed her to hospital now, running temp(37.8 ), weak and vomiting. This week is just somehow for me. The ped said we should stop the drugs until he's sure what is really wrong. Thanks but I'm just too weak and tired was even given pcm injection(IM) on Thursday night cos I was having tummy pains

all will be well. I think you should let her be admitted for close monitoring. Sepsis shouldn't be taken lightly.
Take it easy on yourself too so you dont fall ill o abeg

FloraEC, please send that boy to his parent for your sanity. As for me, I can never feel safe leaving my children especially my daughter with such child. Trust ur mother instincts cos the world will blame you and not the father if anything happens (God forbids).

I feel you should take your child to another hospital cos some doctors can be doing as if the money for the drugs is coming from their pocket instead of recommending the best medication.
Mbok, try n try not to stress yourself cos of ur pregnancy. God's strength to u n it's well.

Mamas pls i need help. Has anyone ever travelled by air with their LO? Local flight that is, as travelling by road is out of the option.

Pls how did you guys do it? My baby will be 8weeks by then. What kind of clothing should he wear, did you pay for an extra seat, will i carry him in my arms all thru? What are the protocols?

Pls come to my aid o. Ese

I travelled with ds when he was 10 days old local flight too. I wore him a sleep suit and body suit as usual, but since he's 8 weeks old you can dress him up properly I mean any clothe of your choice. I didn't pay for extra seat cos I used a baby carrier, he was strapped to my chest throughout. I can't remember how much I paid for an infant but it was less than 4k.

The boy needs to go. He's been exposed and will surely try it with another person and your eyes cant be on your daughter 24/7.
I pray your daughter gets well soon. I guess she's yet to complete her drugs, dont worry the fever will break soonest. if the interval of the fever is increasing, then the drugs are working and she will soon be fever free. Take care

sorry about your Lil one. please allow her to bed admitted for close monitoring and antibiotic will become administered to her. I'm suspecting sepsis. it's not to believe taken likely. there is a boy I saw online who lost both hands and legs to sepsis.his case drew my attention to the infection called sepsis and I went to read about about it. that won't believe your portion.when my son was a year, he was down with pneumonia and tonsillitis. he was admitted for 1week. I saw a child who was admitted for sepsis and it was close monitoring and administration of antibiotics that save his life. wish your Lil one speedy recovery.

Please follow doctors instruction if it's sepsis.
I pray she gets well soon.
Don't beat yourself up.

For your 2 foster kids.
Send the boy home please and explain to the parents what he did so they can know what to watch out for.
Your daughters aren't safe and your head and mind will never be at rest.
Choi! Which way with these children and parenting.

If you see the way I always watch my kids like a hawk, my husband even said I might put thoughts in their head cos my own no pass "don't touch other people's privates!" You're free to scratch your itchy privates but please keep your hands off others!
The fear is real.
Only God and our instincts can help us.
Insist on his leaving but keep in touch with him and help him from afar.

Your daughter will get well just keep an eye on her. Let oga take charge biko...

My dear, when I first checked her temp twas 38.5 and still reading, I poured water on her, didn't give her pcm cos is not 6hr yet. Checked it again, twas 37.8 and she started vomiting that's why I rushed to the hospital, called hubby immediately I got there. My doc used shout to finish me yesterday but I wasn't thinking straight. Thanks, my BP was checked yesterday (110/70), the injection was to subside tummy pain again, dunno when I started crying. They're still in the hospital(hubby and her), didn't follow them.
Thanks dear.

The infection may not have cleared. Was it viral or bacterial? Viral infections don't go with medication, they have to run their course. Wait for the results and take it from there

Also I heard that molar something na oba

They didn't specify or maybe cos I didn't ask. When her first molar came out, we didn't experience all this thing just headache and swollen gum which later stopped. Heard the same thing too. Thanks dear.

my lo was way older when i travelled with her. Just wear normal cloth based on weather and hold cardigan/socks. You wont pay extra seat cos she is less than 2 years. You will carry him all through cos he will be strapped to your seat belt. No protocols. Just indicate you have an infant while booking.

Dont be sad! Not being able to breast feed your baby,
doesnt make you less a mom.

What worked for me was, i reduced stress, take pap without sugar. Take cooked white rice with stew and tea.

You could get fenugreek some mamas that have used it will come give direction. Cc: enque

Baby carrier, You don't need to pay for an extra seat (but you'll pay a little extra for his "ticket"wink. It's a short flight so you should be fine. For take off and landing they'll give you a belt extender so you can strap him properly. Dress him normally for the weather and take a shawl so you can cover him if necessary

Hello anyone, i am Linda. I had sex with my boy friend some weeks ago and i am beginning to feel that i am pregnant. I also read on www.evrytin.com that swelling of the abdomen is a sign of pregnancy in young girls...

Anyone please tell me the signs and symptoms of pregnancy in a young girl of the age 16 - 20 yrs.

Stress is one of the key dryers and drainers of breast milk sef. Stop stressing about it, eat properly, drink a lot of water, feed baby with what you can and supplement with formula if it isn't enough. A good mother is one who FEEDS her child. Food can be breast milk or formula, anyone that you are capable of doing, so far you are healthy (physically and mentally) and your baby is too then you're good

Ah! Not a good mother ke? You are not a bad mother dear. First of all, Congratulations!! Secondly, it is in no way your fault that you are not producing enough milk. Sometimes our body needs a little boost to do wat is required. Please try and relax, put your baby to breast as often as you can. Also, enjoy lots of pap without sugar, kunu and plenty water.... You can also check for fenugreek tea. Heard it helps!
