Wilson Oruma is a retired footballer. Story was that He was convinced in a church in Nigeria to invest in a business deal. Heard he lost all his savings to that deal and had a mental breakdown. Now the poor dude is broke and disoriented. Glad he is not suicidal

Drug dealers, human traffickers, armed robbers and ritualists also, bring money to the economy. Why is Efe don't glorify them since they all bring money to the economy?. Am sure if Bank deducts just 2k from your account without no reason, you will start wailing. Fraud is bad, nothing can make it good.

Not surprised it’s coming from Efe. I still don’t know how he won BBN. How the hell does yahoo help our economy? Tell me, anyone? Maybe I am missing something in economics.
You rip people of their hard earned money and you come online to say it is helping the economy because they are not scamming Nigerians.

It’s becoming so embarrasing when in a foreign movie, any mention of a fraud case, Nigerian names are always called. From Criminal minds to Big Bang theory to Blackish and so many more. Please stop denting our image on the map. Stop ripping people of their money. Rubbish. EFCC should raid those places mentioned by Noble Igwe. Lazy bunch of idiots who wants shortcut to success. Nonsense

The most annoying part of it they said his a graduate of Economics..shame!!

He has a point, but most people here have refused to reason along that line and I find it quite hypocritical.

Is it not true that Nigerian politicians loot our economy? Is it a lie that Yahoo boys take from a foreign economy? This is not about holiness, it is a simple analysis.

Go and ask the Chinese government, they will never arrest their own citizens for things like tpiracy, copyright infringement and production of fake products just because the international bodies are complaining. That's why we can afford Polo shirts for 2k in the market. But here in Nigeria, a 20year old boy who the nigerian society has affected will scam a white person for just $500 and will be sentenced to 20years in jail.

The same politicians looting our nation have never been convicted for any crime, yet yahoo boys are the target of SARS and EFCC.

Please between the crimes of these 2, which one affects our lives daily as Nigerians?

Stay there and be criticizing Efe while politicians are looting money meant for your generation.

Yahoo does far more harm than good. Don't forget that victims of yahoo are also Nigerians. Many lives in Nigeria have been wrecked, jobs lost, businesses destroyed, victims unable to feed and are thrown in the streets. Some commit suicide.

And what do most yahoo boys do with the money stolen? Go to clubs sleep with prostitutes and wash hands with expensive drinks. Yeah, someone else's life's work and sweat being spilled on the ground for fun.

How people try to justify the actions of this set of people will remain a mystery to me.
that's because they aren't at the receiving end.....the day their sisters or their bank accounts fall victim, they will change Thier mindsets

So from efe's point of view, the economy should be run on scams and frauds.

So how many souls have hunted our politicians? Or have you and not been defrauded countless times?

Lets learn to apply wisdom alongside religious beliefs.

God would definitely punish them, but we have to do our's also.

Cry not the day you will be defrauded.

For our politicians, they're suffering daily already.

You've said it all. There is no justification for fraud in any way but come to think of it. The system is messed up, yahoo and the likes are just products of a messed up system. If you wanna curb yahoo and other fraudulent activities to the barest minimum, then fix the rotten system from the root(politicians, police officers, stupid SARS operatives). Fraud can never be totally eliminated, it can only be reduced. I see no reason why there’ll be availability of jobs and majority of the people still run to yahoo and the likes. Imagine this scenario; I have a friend in the UK that works in a kitchen, dude is Italian and he earns about £7-£9 per hour(without a degree), he works 30-40 hours weekly. Bring this down to Nigeria’s level. Imagine earning 3k or 4K per hour, working one very ‘unserious’ job that just requires just your school cert. Work same 30 to 40 hours ever week, you’re talking about earning over 500k per month. That’s the way it’s supposed to be but some political charlatans keep eluding with the funds. Like I said, I’m not in support of ‘yahoo’ and other aspects of fraud, but fix the system and every other thing will adjust, simple! Nigeria is rich enough, the government is the problem and not the people. If you see yahoo boys as the issue with this country, then I’m sorry, you’re a very ugly hypocrite. My 2 cents.

So you're constantly suggesting that fraudsters should be allowed to continue if all corrupt politicians will not be arrested today?

Mind you dealing with problem is one by one, after fraudsters they will have time to face the politicians.

My point exactly. I'll never support fraud or crime in any way, but sometimes, we Nigerians refuse to prioritize issues. We have the issues affecting us in our own country, those stealing tax payers money and national resources for personal interests and yet we hail them on the the road. . . Until we stop that hypocritical trash....
