My 13 weeks preg wife woke me up last night and I saw fear in her eyes. So I asked what the matter is and she said to me "blood". She said she went to urinate and found blood on the tissue she used to wipe. Then there was a drop of blood on the floor. Is this a normal thing? Anyone here experienced this before?

We intend seeing our doctor this weekend.

It isn't normal.
Please go to the hospital this night. .
Insist on a scan, if there is a heart beat ask if the cervix is shut or not..if not then I'm sorry, your wife might be having a miscarriage.
You can also insist on a hormonal profile although I think by 13 weeks, the placenta should be in place but still insist on it.
It could also be harmless bleeding especially if she doesn't start cramping really hard.

My Birth Story (testimony time)

My pregnancy journey was a testimony. Started my antenatal in Abuja before getting an invitation for a 6 weeks job training in Lagos. Had to move to Lagos and started training @33 weeks. Registered in a new hospital where I was told I my sugar level was high and the journey to reduce sugar level began
After dieting, the sugar level kept fluctuating and I was booked for induction @37 weeks. Went when I was 37 weeks and 5days.
Got to the hospital last week Thursday where a drug was inserted (very painful something) and felt nothing after 6 hours. Another was inserted yet no show oh, at that point I was told my pelvis is small and they can't feel the baby's head with their fingers but through scan, the baby's head was down but not to the pelvic area. On Friday I was placed on hot drip which did nothing, was given he second doze yet I felt nothing that was how they said I'm going in for CS
During the CS I stayed awake but was given injection to numb my bikini area to my legs. When the operation was ongoing, my baby brought her hands out first and it was a struggle forcing it back and looking for a head.... she was big and I could feel the struggle to bring her out. I had chest pain from the push which was so painful I kept saying that I want to stand up or lay on my side just for a while then I heard my baby cry it was a relief!
My baby was cleaned and weighed 4.08kg... the doctors kept saying God loves me and that's why I didn't fall into labour because I would have struggled on vain and ended up in an ECS because she was ready to come out with her hand first....
I thank God for everything including my recovery.
We plan but God has the final say!

You should have gone to the hospital today but if she's no longer seeing the blood or any cramping, try and see her doc tomorrow and also do scan. If everything is OK, she should be on strict bedrest and watch what she eat too.

She can observe the bed rest at home.I experienced same, quickly rushed to the hospital that same night and was placed on drugs. Doctor called it a threatened miscarriage. Nobody advised me to stay in my house since Tuesday and take things easy. Let her do same, i am sure she and baby will be fine.

Take her to the hospital today, the doc will know what to do. The bed rest should be at home, she should limit some housework and also take a look of water.

Dunno if implantation bleeding occur at that week, her doc will know better.

She went further to tell me with fibroid my enemy has increased risk of miscarriage, premature delivery and a need to deliver through C. S. For a second i was so worried, was really depressed . It was my husband that strengthened my faith by asking me, whose report will you believe? The report of a fellow man or the report of the God who was able to part the Red Sea. God gave us the gift of conception, and the same Almighty God will ensure a safe delivery with both mother and child hale and hearty. With that, i braced myself knowing my pregnancy journey is now a spiritual warfare. Did some research on Christian books for pregnancy and got Jackie Mize "Supernatural childbirth" which am currently reading. Just don't let any medical report bother you. Pray, read your Bible (psalms), be positive in thinking and let your heart be at rest knowing that God's got you! By His grace, you will have a supernatural delivery.

I'll go to another independent sonographer to get a 3rd opinion if I were you. Just to be double sure Please run the scan again. I had to do 4 scans in a day to get the accurate or closest in accuracy when I was told my baby was 5kg at 40 weeks.

Thanking God for seeing me this far. With my medical history, Doctor had to congratulate me for reaching 26weeks milestone and pregnancy doing well.

The journey seemed far from 280days but I'm in 2digits - remaining just 99days and the beginning of third trimester.

Your baby is probably shifting positions easily.
Don't fret about it, there is only so much you can do.
Repeat the scan in another week.

Someone even told me haba since last year, you never born abi you go soon born. I just ignored the person.
