forgot to ask.....can i use my business account alone as proof of payment cos my personal account is not active and my business account is active with daily transactions of nothing less than 20k and a max of 350k a day for the last 1yr and a total deposit volume of 16m in the last 6months. I am the only signature to the account, also would screenshots for the dashboard of the 3rd party payment company (paystack)that handles all the online payment of my business act as a supporting document for my financial proof? Would also be paying for my total fees upfront before applying, meaning payment receipy would be attached

If you pay and attach receipts, that would mean you have gone and over and above to show you are finally buoyant. Ensure to document sources of income and you may use a business account only in your name or immediate relative.

Even previous travel to Canada may contribute to refusal ground

This statement depicts naivety at best.

First time travelers Visa applications get refused based on Travel History more often than not.

The only reason why an experienced traveler’s visa application will be refused was if he violated the terms of his earlier visas.

So you coming forward to say previous travel to Canada May contribute to visa refusal is .....

What sort of statement is this? How does previous traveling to Canada contribute to refusal? We should all be careful about information we give out because some people might take them hook, line and sinker.
Previous travel to Canada will not contribute to refusal unless you violated any of the terms of your previous visa. It will even be a blessing in disguise that you can honor your visa terms.

Hi,

It may or it may not. In my own case, I had previously travelled to Canada. Didn't stay up to six month and I was picked on travel history. Although, I birth my baby in Canada which was not stated in my TRV application then. I am yet to receive the GMCS note to understand the issue.

I have another instance where an applicant visa was denied because all other members of the family currently holds a valid TRV. I am in this situation as well. Once I receive my note, I will share it.

Thus, previous travel history to Canada may or may not affect your application based on the circumstance involved.

Thanks

Errrm,

It's been 4weeks since i applied online, and i have not heard pekem. The only thing that changed was "biometrics updated".I understand some people applied way earlier before me and it's the same, some have also gotten updates in less processing time.
I've signed into my CIC account more than i've used google in the last one month.

From experience, what's the likely processing time before one begins to get updates. Basically, this is just to get have another date i'm counting down to.

BTW, i've been to canada, USA, and Turkey and i indicated them, i've been reading several travel history, don't know if this counts cos it appears travel history now delays instead of giving assurance.

Thanks guys, and God's will be done in our lives.
I don’t think u have an issue now, u have travel history n in most cases it take over 8 wks for background check. So just hold up. I am sure I will be good, just hope u have good prove of funds.

Wait for your note to be sure of the specific reason why you were refused. Travel history as a generic reason doesn't mean it has something to do with your having been in Canada previously unless you violated your visa terms.
Travel history most times is just a bonus refusal reason, it's not always the main reason. Once the main reason is tackled, travel history will naturally disappear. What do you have to say about people that haven't left Nigeria and yet have travel history as part of their reasons for refusal?
Travel history can't be a stand alone reason any application is denied unless you have history of previous visa terms violation

Sponsor doesn't necessarily have to transfer to one's account. All the V.O wants to see is that there's money available. Transferring funds from the sponsors account might deplete his/her funds and that is where you really wanna have the bulk of the cash in. As for the applicant, even half a million will fly for him/her.
It is advisable for a THIRD PARTY sponsor to transfer funds to applicant's account or pay the tuition fee before applying. It is not just about having enough funds for study but the fund must be readily available for the applicant when its needed. If sponsor is applicant's parents or siblings then there's no need transferring or paying fees(except if the school request for it).

Bro, your travel history shouldn't be a problem as long as you didn't violate the rules while there. I bet you won't see anything relating to travel history when your GCMS note arrives.
The moniker that brought this up used the word "MIGHT" , that's why I said nothing about it.

Congrats @Dorisdili. How does one ensure the sim compatibility?
Dorisdili:
Hello house. Got to Canada safely. The immigration process at the point of entry isnt difficult. You just have to follow through the different process as directed. You will be asked questions by the immigration officers just answer them confidently, that's my own little advice.

At the first point of entry i gave them my immigration form that was given to me to fill in the plane. I was asked what are my basis of coming to Canada, what program, what school, how many years program. I was also asked to show a proof that am really going to study, then i showed her my admission letter and fees receipt. So its advised to have them in ur hand luggage as u might be asked. She also asked if i had and alcohol on me, if i had money or treasures on me worth up to 10000CAD(cos u have to declare it at the point of entry if you do, else u will pay a fine if they find out and u didn't declare it). How much i brought into Canada. So i answered the questions and was given back the stamped form to proceed to the second immigration officer.

At this stage i was asked what program i was going for, what school and how many years. Then the immigration officer threw a joke and said " i know u ran away from the hardship in Nigeria, i hear living in Nigeria is difficult" then i laughed and said not really, that i came basically for studies. Then he said "how is the cold in Nigeria, how is the snow" at that point my mind went to he probably wanted to know if i was really coming from Nigeria like i said. That was the only thing that came to my head that would make him say how is the snow. Then i laughed and said Nigeria has no snow, Nigeria is very hot. Then we laughed over it and he stamped my study permit and asked me to proceed to get my SIN(social insurance number) for work.
I went to the next immigration officer and filled out a form and was issued my SIN.
Basically that's about the summary of my experience at the point of entry.

So to all those coming in soon just answer ur questions at the Point of entry confidently and u are good to go. Wish u all best of luck . To all TRV hopefuls trust God and he will make it happen.

P.S Canadians are nice people, they smile at u for no just course, so don't hesitate to ask questions when u are confused at any point. If you tell them its ur first time in Canada they are always excited and eager to help you.

I am still trying to settle. Also make sure ur phone gsm broadband is compactable with Canadian gsm broadband before leaving ur home country else ur phone wont work with Canadian sim. I am having same issue right now cos i wasn't pre-informed. I jost got a new phone here. Information is key!!!

Best of luck guys!!!

Hello house
Please I need someone in Quebec that can make clarifications to me as per CAQ. I submitted my application for CAQ already and got a notification that my documents aren't complete. That the admission letter from Concordia University wasn't signed by registrar. It was the dean that signed the admission offer.
Please it's urgent

Hi, sorry for the late response.
Have you been able to resolve this?

Thanks for your response. I contacted the school and was told the letter is OK. That whenever CAQ gives that reason for intent to refuse, it means I only submitted first page of the admission letter. That I should send the complete admission letter and offer to CAQ and I'll be fine with that
