Let me see those idiot people that said Kanu is the reason why restructuring is discussed. The fool had made it clear he never wanted restructuring from day one

I am from the east but these IPOB people should just go and rest abeg, Nigeria has not been favourable to most if not everyone and believe me most Nigerians want this diabolic entity called Nigeria to break up BUT it wouldn't happen anytime soon. Restructuring, in other words:

-80% resource control for all regions.
-15 to 20% to the FG (we have to arrive at some kind of compromise with the FG, currently Nigeria is cut across 5 regions, North, Middle belt, West, East, South South, 20% from all regions to the FG would amount to 100% which should be more than enough for the FG to go about their affairs )
-Regionalism : State / regional police to combat terrorist Fulani herdsmen, Financial autonomy for all regions, Regional educational schemes and scholarships, regional electricity distribution companies, regional sea ports and so on.

This is the way forward for the time being, after 10 years we can revisit the topic of the sovereignty of Nigeria, if anything the restructuring can actually speed up the process of a referendum, but first things first, restructuring, resource control and regionalism.

all I can see is weed everywhere

That ship has sailed long time ago.

The people that can make it happen by virtue of the constitution are in the National Assembly, and will consequently lose their seats if it happens.

So tell me, will they make it happen?
Finally you are not insulting someone.

Good move. restructuring can't work. the north that tailored the constitution to their benefit would not alloe it. And even when it happen, they would still tailor it to their benefit.
They have the numbers in both chambers.
Referendum or change in the constitution must also be agreed in the senate, which the so called Fulani have the number to block any referendum. The most realistic thing right now is restructuring. If the whole south and middle belt agreed on it, the north alone even with the numbers cannot stop it.

Biafra will not be relevant. This is 21st century when we are globalizing now and you are here with talks of secession. I am igbo, but i was born in lagos and i love it here. So please all this one should stop abeg

Not unless i feel insulted. No one has monopoly of that.

In reality, we are not practicing democracy in the real sense of it, what we have here is just civilian government arranged by the military for us to follow. And we also lack visionary leaders presently who can lead the people out of this military contraption. Bunch of the politicians we have now can't see beyond their noses. It is all about self preservation and enrichment.

Maybe a Jerry Rawlings measure might be the solution.

Yes, this is why I am always against those saying that Kanu deserves some credit for raising consciousness of restructuring

Kanu was clear that they wanted secession not restructuring

A restructured Nigeria will always be better than a split Nigeria

One thing is certain: when Nigeria is restructured, the population of Lagos will reduce and the population of Niger delta states will soar

I am Igbo

I am for restructuring

I am against secession

if you want restructuring go out there protest for it. do not leverage upon the agitation for Biafra to shout restructuring. have asked your self why the clamour for restructuring suddenly gained highest momentum before the military invasion of Kanu house? why is the tempo dying down now?. can u quote any organised protest or demonstration in that ever happened in nigeria before in favour of the so called restructuring until IPOB came with secession movement? heroes sacrifice their lives for the cause of their conviction. Those that fall for Biafra agitation are all heroes.

2019 is our opportunity to do it, but only if Buhari is removed because that man doesn`t want to do anything apart from waste our time and resources until he dies

Exactly. Their plan was always to include south-south in their Biafra. They know the south-east alone is not too viable. If restructuring comes to reality, the whole South-South will be the richest region in the country.

Let's come to reasonable compromise, Biafra will be actualized but not with peaceful protest neither with violent protest but with a protest that is strange to the masses and the government.

Let them trigger the first law of Mee which states that "The possibility of a mans dream lies in his ability to think while the possibility of a group(s) dream lies in their unified intelligence which is inversely proportional to the aloft."

I can see a generation of intelligent Biafran kids who will dive into the history of Nigeria civil war and with curiosity, strive for actualization of this long awaiting dream. There was a time Germany and Japan were forming superpowers but at the drop of an atomic bomb (a weapon they didn't understand), their reputation changed in human history. Let Biafrans go back to their hidden labs and start creating a weapon that will make them achieve their dreams.

Meanwhile,

If Biafra is actualized today, I will leave Nigeria for Biafra.

Why?

Because they are curious, creative, business minded, intelligent, industrious, innovative, hardworking and most especially, they have a dream. These seven (7) criteria are the major requirements for a working country.

Bros, Why do you like to lie to yourself? I have said it rpeatedly here. Fix your selfs and your greed first before anything else. An avaerage Ibo man is greedy. Is it not a shame that Rivers, Akwa-Ibom and Cross River and even Bayelsa, will rather side with Nigeria than Biafra?? Fix that and stop all the lies. Also, remember that was how Ojukwu lied and ended up running away, then Nnamdi kanu, you guys are just too greedy to get any support from any other group.

It's not about having oil, it's about how much oil. The oil in the south east is very small, it's not in commercial quantity, that's why the government do not give it much priority, instead they go to search for oil in the north

That guy is not wise at all. The so called Hausa/Fulani also have the numbers in the chamber to block any referendum. Nigeria is a democratic country, so the president even with all the power, does not have the right to give referendum to anyone. He will be impeached and tried for treason. Only the chamber can decide that. That is why restructuring is more realistic, if the south-east, south-south, south-west, and middle-belt come together united in this goal, it will be a reality. the remaining 2 regions which are northern regions cant stop it.
