Loool. I think he's best as a B2b to be honest...like Dele Alli. Gets into great scoring positions, crazy stamina, hardworking. More like Ramsey I'd say

Aina will die on that pitch tomorrow. He will not miss a chance to show England what they missed out on, if I were Rohr, I would start him

This is the match he will give his best, if he still plays rubbish against England, then mans issa lost cause. Rohr can drop him straight

Nigeria did well qualifying from the group stage, however the magic has left them. They have not been playing well. They were lucky against Poland. Nigeria did not create much chances, the one that fell on Ighalo's path was wasted, a better and much more composed striker would have blasted the ball at the roof of the net. Lewandoski nearly scored a beautiful goal.

Serbs exposed Nigeria. Joel Obi struggled because his talent and ability are limited. You can't give what you dont have. I think stress or age might be telling on him. He works too hard when a much gentle approach would have done the job. Onazi is becoming too fat, he is overweight, that might become evident soon. For those shouting 25 years, body structure is different, a Mikel can not be compared with an Onazi, Mikel might play longer than him. Mikel is tall, slim and lean. fat/muscle ratio is less for Mikel. I rememebr a certain Garuba Lawal, his type might play till they are 45 and fans would see him as a 29 year old, compare him to Abedi Pele or Roberto Carlos...those type of footballers with massive thighs and low centre of gravity who are power horses in their 20s but accumulate fats all over like michelin man in their 30s.

Before i digress....Nigeria will lose against England and they will be chasing shadows against Croatia.

Pros...This is a chance for Simi who has potential to shine and get better club, i think he is a good footballer with very good prospects.
Ebuehi, Ekong, Awazie, Idowu, Agu should utilise th opportunity to help their careers. Iheanacho and Musa should try and shut up British fans who think they are not good enough.

If they all fail, this is the chance for Uzoho to propel himself to better height. It's one chance they should grab it. It might not come again.
We don't need pessimists like you here. Wishing our team ill luck clearly reveals that it's either you're not Nigerian or you foolishly chose to acrimoniously wish the team misfortune all in the name of realistic thinking. This thread is for the true fans of SE and its never a crime to be one. If you're not a fan just do the needful.

We are not claiming the team is the best in the world. But we're here for the love if the Super Eagles.

Rohr: Simon Not Fit For World Cup, We’ll Play ‘Important England Friendly’ With Our Full Team
June 1, 2018 7:15 pm

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has highlighted the importance of Saturday’s friendly match against England to the team’s quest of having a successful outing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, just as he confirms that injured Moses Simon won’t be fit to merit a berth in the final 23-man squad, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.

The three-time African champions will face the Three Lions in their second pre-World Cup friendly at the Wembley Stadium.
Captain John Mikel Obi, Alex Iwobi and a number of first team regulars were not involved from the start in Monday’s 1-1 draw against Democratic Republic of Congo in Port Harcourt.

And Rohr indicated that he will name a strong side against Gareth Southgate’s men.

“Tomorrow, we would play a big team like England, it is an important game for us,” Rohr stated during his pre-match press conference here in London before the team’s training session at the Wembley Stadium on Friday.

“It will be an interesting game for us. In the game against Congo, we didn’t play our best team, but we will change things against England and play our best players.
“The atmosphere is going to be great and we hope to enjoy it and possibly win the game.”

Rohr also hinted that Gent of Belgium winger, Moses Simon has been ruled out of the World Cup after a latest medical scan confirmed that he won’t be fit for the competition.

“We have all our players in camp. Moses was the last to arrive camp and he has had just one training session with us and will have another today (Friday),” he stated.
“All the ready players are ready for the World Cup except for Moses who is out for four weeks.

With the team’s first choice goalkeeper Carl Ikeme also ruled out of the World Cup on health ground, the fight for Eagles number one shirt has generated heated arguments among the fans.

Young goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, seems to be the favourite after the team’s last three games against Poland, Serbia and DR Congo but Rohr insisted thatv the position is still up for grabs.

“Uzoho came in against Argentina and since then he has been showing confidence great effort, we have three goalkeepers,” he declared.

The former Niger Republic and Gabon coach also played down the the Super Eagles’ chances of becoming the first African country to win the World Cup.

“We are not among the favourites. If you look at the FIFA ranking, you will see there are teams who are better than us,” he remarked.

“It is important for us not to think we can win the World Cup.”

Ikeme Devastated To Miss Out On Super Eagles’ World Cup Action
June 1, 2018 4:16 pm

Nigeria goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, is devastated that he won’t be part of the Super Eagles’ squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia as he continues to battle with acute leukaemia, but he wishes the team good luck in the tournament, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ikeme, 31, played a part in the three-time African champions qualification for Russia 2018.

He featured in the first three games against Swaziland (home and away) and Zambia but his involvement was cut short after he he was diagnosed with the ailment after returning abnormal blood tests during a routine pre-season check-up.

It was recently announced that he has been handed an honorary place in Nigeria’s World Cup squad as he will be the 24th man in the squad.

But the Wolves goalie is disappointed he won’t be on the pitch in Russia.

“To say I’m devastated about missing the World Cup is a understatement. But I just want to thank everyone in for there prayers, love and messages. I can’t explain how much they mean to me❤️ I also want to wish my teammates, coaches and NFF luck for the summer coming ❤️,” Ikeme tweeted on Friday.

He made his debut for Nigeria in 2015 against Tanzania in an Africa Cup of Nations Cup qualifying match, and has been capped 10 times.

Dele in the sense that they get into great scoring positions as "midfielders". I think he's one of those who is a cross between a midfielder and a second striker.

grin

Perhaps you've led many Dudes astray with your crass Details. I can bet it you're simply following the Team emotionally and sentimentally Sir.

Tactically, Rohr played two Formations mostly during the qualifying Matches. Offensively the Team played 4 - 3 - 3 while reverting to 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 defensively.

Sir, football has transformed from an Art to a Science. It requires paying Attentions to every Detail. It's easier for Players like VicMo, Simon and Musa to perform with the Tactics than Iwobi - playing on the Wing.

Do you care to know why? They get the Pace and the Work-rate far better than Iwobi. Seem you think Arsenal played 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 Formation in the just concluded Season?!

Once again Sir, Football ain't an Art anymore, the Epoch has died with the Samba Football. At the Moment, football has transformed to a Science - take Germany and Pep tutored Teams as Studies to get clear Picture.

all what you wrote here is tales by moon light, has more of talks than fact
