I got a medical request - paper route, PhD MUN, no upfront medical. Once I do the medical, do I still need to notify CIC via email that this has been done If no, how long does this take for CIC to update my account after the medical? Otherwise, if I have to notify, what CIC email account can I use? Currently, background check and eligibility is under review.

Good day, great minds.

I'm gathering all my documents to apply to the schools of choice.

One of the documents requested is my CV. However, I have no experience in the area of master's degree I'm applying for but I have Bsc in the exact discipline which I acquired 10years ago.

What do you advice I do about the gap in experience and how can I best convince the admission board that I'm suitable.

Thanks.

Hello guys! Esp Engineering grad students in Canada

Please is there any disadvantage to going for MEng option rather than MASC in Canada

I want to know if I can easily get work experience with MEng certificate in Canada (Ontario) , cos I don't want to waste time looking for Supervisors for MASC.

Plead guys I need your advice.

For my department, Computer Science, no approval was is required. You would be contacted by a supervisor interested in your application.

Once you do the medical you don't need to notify CIC, the approved centre will send to CIC within 3 working days. You will see the update on your CIC account. All the very best.

Okay, just to clarify what I said, @Phocusjosh is right, all i meant is there is no harm sending the slip/paper given to you after you've done medicals. If there was no slip/paper theres no problem, CIC will get it.

I'm damn fed up of this Canadian study permit, its now 16weeks now that I applied, there hasn't been any update on my timeline apart from biometric completed.
I applied online on 15th February and did my biometric the next day(16th February). I'm fed up, fed up. I should've opted for European study permit instead of this wasting time Canadian visa

Somebody has released relevant some emails for u. Did u apply online or paper and what was the processing time as at when u applied?

@ Steper4u, kindly send a mail to accraimmigration@international.gc.ca, accra.immigration@international.gc.ca, lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca immediately. Your application has exceeded the normal processing time and it will not affect your application negatively. It is possible that a VO is unknowingly sitting on your application. 16 weeks without a medical call is outrageous. A colleague of mine waited 24 weeks before sending a mail. She got approved a week after sending the mail

The subject should be something like this
UPDATE FOR STUDY PERMIT APPLICATION IFO STELLA MARIS YAKUB APPLICATION NO: S309090909. Ensure you state that your application has spent 16 weeks with them, which is way beyond the normal processing time.

Shoot the mail now. Wish you the best

@stepper4u God bless for releasing this emails. Can I also message them next week? Mine will be 9weeks tomorrow but the PT was 6weeks when I applied. But I did upfront medical.

Greetings my people.
So I was refused study permit yesterday.

My question is this : can I apply for the permit from within Canada? I already have a scheduled trip to Canada in July/ August because I have visitor visa valid till 2020.

Elders in the house please advise me.

Thank you in advance.

Only difference is if you intend to pursue a PhD degree in the future, then having an MASc is much better than MEng. Otherwise, you can go ahead and apply for MEng. To the best of my knowledge, Canadian employers do not discriminate between MASc and MEng. They are all "Masters".

Guys is #180,000 too much for the below visa documentation?

Police Report
Comprehensive Medical Clearance
Application Bank Draft for the High Commission
Notarization and Editing of Affidavit of Support
Documentation
Pre-interview sessions will be provided if invited for interview.
VFS Fee
Biometrics Fee

Can I documents the above list with less than #120,000k

A well know Canadian Travel agent request I pay N180,000 for the above service.

Please, advice guys.
