Here I am sitting watching my baby sleep. She's been vomiting since morning and running temperature. I had to take her to the hospital because she was becoming weak. Cough and catarrh also. Dr diagnosed malaria and they've given her first dose of malaria injection. Its the temperature we are battling with because even with pcm the temperature is still high. Please pray for us

I strongly feel she should be checked for infections and treated accordingly please. Check if she's trying to cut another tooth too.
it is well with you and Adele

almost same shoe with you. I didn't see my third period. My first two had a difference of 14 days interval instead of the usual 28 days menstrual cycle.
7 weeks passed, I didn't see the third period. I was 21 days late. I even nursed the fear of been pregnant until I went to hospital. Result was negative and doctor says breastfeeding will most often make your period irregular. She says sometimes you might not even see it for as long as six month after the last period. It's normal and nothing is really wrong.

Well I've finally seen my period sha few days ago.

Eyah sorry, I can imagine the stress. Please if they haven't run test, insist they run tests cuz it might be infection, that's how Giddybaby acts when we are treating infection. Is she eating anything at all, try giving her pap or cereal with spoon maybe she doesn't have energy to suck.

I think they write it on the can to dispose after tin has been opened for is it 2 or 4 weeks. It doesn't matter how many times you use it as long as the seal is broken just go by what's written on the can.

The stress is something else embarassed she has become extremely cranky and clingy. This is someone that doesn't cry on a normal day. Now everything annoys her. She wants to be carried always and the bad part is that I can't do anything because there's no one to even leave her for. She has been spoon feeding since. She isn't bottle fed.
She doesn't want to even see anything close to her mouth embarassed embarassed. She has really reduced

She's 8months today

Is it just antibiotics they give children for catarrh and cough? This Dr is annoying me already. I went back this evening and he's insisting I go home because the antibiotics will work for the catarrh and cough. My child is uncomfortable here and that's all he has to say.

To me I feel it will. because catarrh and cough could also be one of the symptoms of infection. Do hot steam(abi wat do they call it) apply ori on her head and nose bridge.

Easy ma'am
My hospital doesn't give cough meds to any child less than 3yrs..

For catarrh, they'll give any brand of chlorphenamine like piriton, allergin etc. but that is after running tests to ensure that there r no traces of infection.

If there is an infection, they add antibiotics to the mix.

From experience

Whenever my daughter is on antibiotics, all symptoms seem to aggravate till she takes d last dose.
Once she takes d last dose, everything just disappears...my DH nicknamed it 'the calm after d storm' grin

Just keep calm... She'll b alryt

Almost every experienced mama here has been thru this phase, so trust us when we say 'this too shall pass'

Pele, if an infection has been diagnosed then yes, rub ori on the bridge of her nose if her nose is blocked, you can also do steaming with eucalyptus oil. Rub mentholatum on her chest, back and feet

Piriton also helps if there's no infection

Just give her the meds. Also be clear as to the diagnosis. What did the test result say? Any infection? If yes what type?
