Stop this nonsense. That is why we keep having this accident and disaster that should never happen in the first place if safety standards are in place.

Do you want to inform us that the innocent victims serve the devil? This attitude must stop from Nigerians and we must begin to hold Government accountable for the work they are suppose to do.
Thumbs up bro....
Our real problem is the way most people spiritualize the whole stuff as if those who died did not go to church on Sunday or attended midweek service on Wednesday or were not believers.....
This accident should never have happened if only some one was careful enough to drive safely!

This your posting is borne out of religious ignorances & stupidity. I had clicked like before I remembered I had some friends on the Island who pass that route daily. Some are in Winners & winners have evening program daily, some are in MFM & RCCG with Thursday services today, some belong to other churches, some practice Islam. When rain falls or Sun shines, it does not discriminate good or bad people. Disaster or plane crash does not discriminate person. This is not the period to take stock of your likes on nairaland

The same God that watched these people, sorry, planned for these people to die such a painful death, watched them die and didn't do anything to save them,
planned to make their families suffer indescribable pain, by not only getting the news that their loved ones died, but to know that they died in such a horrific way,

is who you are praising?

I will never understand the logic.

Is only nine people dat died, the tanker failed break, and the good thing is they gave a sign, so ppl ran before the fire outbreak. Is just the unfortunate ones that get caught up in the fury

You mean to tell us that you know God better than all those that died. Have you not heard of pastors or even G.O 's dieing in horrible accidents.

Just commensurate with the families of those that lost their lives instead of using this painful episode to massage your ego.

That area is always prone to accident, robbery and more.

Same Otedola Estate Bridge area has recorded several accident, tankers falling, kidnapping, robbery, gas depot explosion....

Fire services should open an office around there and road safety should be stationed there too.

RIP to the souls that perished in this inferno.

Really! Sorry to burst your bubble sir. God saves but you need to know the complete truth; Child of God or nay, anyday can be your last undecided.

Luke 13:4-5 (NIV)

Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

You are simply a buffoon.

This is the idiotic selfish mentality that made me stop attending Nigerian churches.

So your family is the favoured family and the unfortunate people who died today are more ungodly than your bunch of blood relatives?

Selfish, self-serving and ignorant is what you are

So when Life serves you a curve ball, God doesn’t exist again, abi ?

I am a Christian just like you but think you should simply thank God for safety. Life happens Bad and Good things happen, Pray to God to give you the support to scale through.

No be your doing keep Gods coverage over your life

This is not about you or your family. Too many people lack empathy in this country. Instead of you to feel sorry for the victims and their loved ones, you're here thanking God it's not you.. mtcheew.

Why is Lagos state always prone to accident, lives are not even safe anymore in Lagos not like other states of the federation...The govt of Lagos should crave so hard to put laws into place for all this reckless tanker drivers plying major route. Just imagine the catastrophy of tanker falling off bridge and explosion has caused in lagos this year, destroying properties and taking several lives thereby causing pains and anguish for the families concerned. This is really tragic! we don't really value lives in this country, what pains me a lot is that when such an accident happens you will just see Nigerians that are suppose to evacuate lives to safety taking pictures or videoing victims that needs to be attended to for proper first aid treatment. Our lackadaisical attitude as Nigerians is really not commendable when it comes to saving lives.....#changestartfromyou

I av not said anything but let ppl stop insulting ppl here because of simpl e comments. The lady was thanking God for saving her life and that of her family . is there anything wrong in that.

You don't get.

She wasn't mocking those who died. No but thanking God for her life.

The same road you ride on is where thousands die. The same Aircraft you flew in weeks back crashed today.
Just take a deep breath and re-read what you wrote first. Any sane human would know that you are campaigning for cheap likes at the expense of another person's comfort

So if I thank God for that am I wrong?

The Mistake the Lady made was not First sympatising with the ppl that lost their lives. She was wrong there.

Some guys here just dont want to hear the name God. because they are Atheists. And thats wrong.

They have the right to be Aitheists and another person has the right to Faith.

Life is a choice.

Hope u got me.

Just wanna ask a simple question...who is supposed to check the safety indices and road worthiness of these tankers and other large vehicles? Is it FRSC? Cos I have never seen such before. All they do is 'disturb' small vehicles
