How Did You Deal With Rejection?

I have always been rejected at some points in my life and career. That moment when some people think that you are either not talented or qualified enough for a particular task or opportunity. My most unforgettable experience was when someone I called a friend and shared my life secrets with told me "Johnspeak, you call me your friend, have you ever asked me if I take you as a friend '?

Almost everyone has been rejected in one way or another. Either in business, Career, workplace, by families and loved ones and most commonly by a girl or a boy they've crushed on. But the problem is not being rejected but dealing and managing rejection. Rejection if not properly managed can lead to depression, withdrawal from the society or suicide.

I believe that someone somewhere is going through one form of rejection at the moment and there are also some people who will experience rejection today or tomorrow, but the truth is, rejection is not a curse but a part of life. I will like to hear real life stories by people who have experienced rejection and how they were able to deal with it.

Succeed You Must

Any adult or young adult who has never had to deal with rejection is probably a hermit, and must have been a hermit from infancy. How to deal with rejection? I wish there was a formula other than moving on like it never happened.

My own rejection is in business. I started a business straight out of the university and in a period of 7 8 months I have gotten over 3 million in revenue. I had to raise money to expand my business. Here in Africa, most entrepreneurs raise money through competitions. I have applied to more than 50 and so far I have been rejected from them all. I managed to make it to the interview stage of two of them but still got rejected. What fuels me though is the vision i have for my business and the potentials it can achieve. Rejection should be my middle name now though . I know eventually I will get what I seek.

Moving forward is the next agenda

I have been rejected and hated at same time. i thought it was channeled to plan evil against me i never knew, it was actually to help me focus in life. i handled my being rejected by focusing on my strength, i learnt playing guitar during that period, i noticed i had more time for myself to read and pray. It was not easy but i was able to gain more experience in handling tight issues. i made sure people come to me than going to them. Read 48 LAWS OF POWER. READ BOOK OF PROVERBS.

As I shot my shot with one fine girl that I'd been crushing on, the conversation went very well o. That's how she said I should bring out my phone so she can give me her phone number. As soon as I brought out my Infinix from my pocket, next thing I heard from her was "Sorry I only put my number in S8 or iPhone". Omo I died inside no be small

At times you get rejected by a big company, and you think that's the end of the world, only for you to be accepted and valued later by an even bigger organization.

I only looked up to God and threw the whole incident behind me believing that even if the entire world rejected me God has not rejected me.

I hate to be rejected... when the rejection occurred... I always feel like life goes on...music for d soul♪♪♪

Yes i have. What i did was to ask for feedback on areas i didnt respond well and areas they (interviewers) felt i underperformed.
I worked on those areas at future interviews

If e pain you badly.1.Be mature about it. Don't lash out at
the job,girl,guy etc(you can do that to your pillows and walls in your house). Mourn privately. Then get it the fûck over with... 2. Repeat.

Be so good they can’t ignore your approach �

there's no big deal in being rejected, in as much as its only just rejection and no insults or beatings

There was a day I thought I would be rejected by contractors at LAFARGE company during SHUTDOWN, thinking I was only accompanying elder people there. I even got picked before others who had enough experiences. I be like; Seeeeeee God,,,,in AY's voice

The incident happened when I was in 100level. I met this beautiful angel that ended up rejecting my offer of sincere love. A few months later, her girl friend told me about her birthday and I decided to send a gift worth 20k and I attached a note to it.....it reads you are the greatest loser....you are worth more than this ....if only you are goid to me.....

Let me share a story that happened a few days ago

I need a change of work place
I was so eager going for this interview
With the conviction I am getting the job
The interview went well
Like it was just left for me to sign the contract

A few days later I got a negative call
Well
I wasn't moved
But then I found out they recruited someone that wasn't even as half good as what I can offer them

It hurt me and I cried
I felt more dejected
Couldn't sleep for days like is this for real?

I felt really awful
