Here in Africa, most entrepreneurs raise money through competitions. I have applied to more than 50 and so far I have been rejected from them all. I managed to make it to the interview stage of two of them but still got rejected. What fuels me though is the vision i have for my business and the potentials it can achieve. Rejection should be my middle name now though . I know eventually I will get what I seek.

I dont even recognize rejection now. Every weekend my weed man dey do me delivery. As long as you be living thing, you must understand that living life is beautiful. One minute we are rejected, the next we are also rejecting. Its normal.

Rejection? Just took it like God didn't want that for me. If he wanted it, I would get it. I moved on and stopped bothering about me but the one who rejected me, wishing the person knows the value of who he/she rejected. If we believe in God and walks with him, we will understand nothing happens to us by chance, they only help push us to our real destination.

If you haven't been rejected in this life it's simple.

You haven't tried doing something big or taking a risk. You are probably still poor, insecure, naive, indecisive etc.

Can't count my rejections and triumphs. But one thing I know is. Whenever I get rejected I just get a clearer view of things. It helps me become better. I don't go about wailing cos I've just learnt what assumptions can never teach me. I grow in experience and gives me time to re-analyze and get a better result.

Be it in relationship, in business, in academics, in career, don't go about thinking you were rejected cos you were no good. It might be wrong timing, wrong place or even wrong choice. In all you should learn and then try again.

Meanwhile I was rejected thrice yesterday and twice today trying to market a relatively new product. Well I didn't go with my sullenness it simply presented me with the opportunity to know what they liked and what their needs were. By next week I'd source them and bring it to them and I've just got 5 new customers from my rejections.

Rejection sucks. There's no formula. I obsess about it for as long as the feelings last & then move on. I allow myself to feel. Hate it! After that I'm good to go, on to the next chapter. I'm an optimist at heart, so little hiccups like that don't get me down for very long. Life goes on.

Someone saying NO to what you are offering (like your service, time or expertise) is not necessarily a rejection.

As a matter of fact they might be saying I don't need what you are offering or I don't think I could afford it or you have not convinced me enough to give you the job or contract or money or to be in a relationship with you.

I heard lots of No, All I do is to ask questions to find out the reason for the "objection"...

If it is "trust" issue... I could offer you pay after delivery... And the No become yes.

If it is "I don't need it/ can't afford it". I smile walk way knowing that I miscalculated my Prospecting.
