Hey Frank, how long does it take for this letter to come? i have not seen it, even though all them eligibility kini still dey under review. Could that be a reason? Thanks man

Frankrobbn1:

Yes the correspondence letter after approval... The content of the letter of introduction starts with:

Your UCI Number
Your Application Number

Your application to study in Canada has been approved. A permit authorizing your studies will be issued to you on your arrival to Canada following an examination by an officer of the Canada Border Services Agency, subject to your compliance with the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and its Regulations. The officer will ask to see this letter, your passport and may request to see your supporting documents, such as the letter of acceptance from your educational institution. etc......

If the above is the start of the content letter you received, you're on the right track.

All the best!

I am being sponsored by the company where I work. My school fees and living expenses summing up to 28,000 CAD was paid upfront and the I submitted the company's statement of account which has enough money running into millions there. But I personally don't have much in my account. I just want to submit my account statement along with the company's statement plus few investments in my name. Will that be okay.

Yes, it should be Okay. Since you are not sponsoring yourself and you have evidence of investments in your name then you are fine with you not having much in your personal account. It is good your company has made payment for your school fees and living expenses upfront and they are giving you company's statement of account. Make sure it is your salary account you are submitting and also make sure the company explain the reason(s) why they are spending that much to sponsor you out of all their staffs available for your program in Canada. Like, What is your position in the company? What value are you to the company? what would the company gain from you when you return? and so on. Financially you are okay if you present all these. All the best.

Also it was labelled "Correspondence Letter"

Hello Gurus in the house,

My wife just got admission offer from MSVU in Halifax for a master course program and really don't know where to start from. i am a total novice to this Canada visa application process.

We are in the process of applying for her visa but she insisting I should apply along side with her for a dependent visa with our 18month baby so i decided to check nairaland so we get it right once and for all to avoid waste of our little resources. .

Please I need the gurus advice on the above matter. insight (1) I completed my master degree in UK, but still need to go back for my thesis defense before I can get my certificate but I have my statement of result. (2) I work with one of the government agency in Nigeria as a consultant staff for over 2years while my contract is renew every year and my next contract expire July 2019. (3) My wife is working with NNPC on a year contract which will be completed next year April.

The take of my wife is that, I should follow her so that I can assist with our baby for like 3month why she goes to school, I have to been in UK for about 2 - 3 month for my Master degree thesis defense starting form January 2019.

My question is;
1. What are the visa application processes if we are to apply and can it work?
2. My uncle has agree to sponsor us with 40m in his account in addition with my father inlaw, my dad and myself bank account statement attached along side (is their any need for all this ?) and other personal investment (like house, land and my personal company is in operation).

This are my question for now.

anticipating for details responses on here please.

Kind regards

Hi everyone,

For those worried about the correspondence letter, it took a while for mine to come. It will definitely come.

For flights, I had an offer of just over 300k on Lufthansa, I don’t know if it’s still available but you can confirm.

Ethiopian airline isn’t bad.

For those that have other visas like the UK, you can fly there and then move on; it’s cheaper.

Please how long did it take for the Corresponding Letter to get to your account, beacuse I have already booked a flight for August. Thanks.

On Correspondence letter: Mine did not arrive until after 7 days of visa approval.

On Flights: justfly.com has great deals and the site is user friendly. Though I'm not sure if you can pay with naira debit cards. I booked multi city flights to Canada few days ago for $1,250. I will be visiting London for 3 weeks enroute to Canada. One thing I like with the itinerary is the short stopovers.

Lagos to London with just 2 hr stopover before arriving London. And after 3 weeks of stay in London, then I will continue the journey to Canada with 4 hr stopover in Toronto before landing in Windsor.
