Really, hmm... Igbos can never kill their relative, especially if they are in their right senses, come to think of it I do hear also news, reports in TVC and also seeing it with my eyes about Yoruba killing their wife's, their brother, and at times beating their mother and father to coma...isnt it because of these things that you guys (Yoruba's) have the highest effect of curses by your parents and elderly people, making most of you miscreants in the society,or do you think the agberos in your streets, where made touts by their own volition, most of them is curses laid on them by the harm they did to someone more elderly. And yes you may say Igbos are proud and arrogant, we may look proud because we are bred in an atmosphere where everyone is equal .Igbos hate to depend on anyone for his life's need . He does not mind if others look proud, he/she has much to be proud in his /her own land, that nature has provided for him/her. Igbos are strong and able to work or fight. He is well formed. He is generally happy in his /her society where no ruler overrides his/her conscience. He/she likes to advance and he/she is quick to learn. He/she likes to give rather than take.
And if not for the Igbos, I wonder if your markets in the southwest would be bubbling with life, there would be no lively commercial activity. Your markets in the southwest would look like any random, common market. Now because of the Igbos in southwest after Aba, onitsha ,Lagos and some western states comes into the picture as biggest markets in Africa and ones in the world. And various developments the Igbos have done or are doing in Lagos and the southwest. Consider before talking, brother, have a Blessed day. smiley

Lie. Igbos kill one another over land, even a son kills father in the Land of the Gully Erosion.

Really!!! grin grin grin...well were are your facts, if your talking about communal clashes, every tribe has a chunk to take, or maybe I think you watch to much Nigerian movies(thats just entertainment)... In Yoruba land, a landlord would be in occult society, and be making his tenants financially bankrupt, spiritually draining their wealth. We Igbos know that for a Yoruba man, his land and him, are like one, you don't joke with it, because if he can't win in the physical, their last resort is spiritual. And as for gully erosion, there is also gully erosion in oyo state, Osun state, Ondo state, so why the fuss about gully erosion, erosion is an environmental problem in all of Nigeria, at least we don't laugh at your flood prone regions, open refuse dump sites that takes large land space, desertification already coming in oyo state... So what's the point?

I had explained it before to you, that the Igbos never practiced monarchy, this kind of rule was imposed to them by the British colonials, who needed a mediator between the people and them. So making this kind of system new to the Igbos(except the Obi of onitsha) What Igbos practiced is a democratic system of governance, in relation to their Greek and Roman counterparts. And by choosing this king, this king must be financially sustainable, to handle affairs in the community, and this system is only for indigenes of the community (and not for non-indigenes or your dog) smiley...this king was supposed to settle disputes, and was also being mandated to represent the community based on foreign affairs of the community(so the king is like the governor of the state). So saying the Igbos are uncultured, is an understatement... at least oduduwa came from the east (some saying from mecca), and even though he came from mecca did he fly from there, it's general that he passed the east before coming to Osun... Enrouting to Africa from mecca, you'll have to pass East Africa, then Central Africa, then eastern Nigeria. grin grin grin... So igbos had some part in the existence of Ile-ife and the Yoruba people in some way,and you say we lack culture. grin grin grin...who do you think lacks culture? grin grin grin

In Yoruba land, we value our culture and do not sell kingship. We are so organised that we have Royal Houses, and only a member of those Royal Houses becomes king.

But we've learnt that any idiot can become an igwe in Igbo land, provided he has money. Even a dog can rule in Igbo land if it has money.

So, help me ask your igwe to name his price. My dog wanna rule.

Just like its your culture, it's not the culture of the Igbos to prostrate or lie down for an elder let alone King. As an igbo man, you only bend your head while the person you are greeting pats you on your back as a sign of respect, and that's exactly what he did. Well-done Miracle.

Royal houses indeed.... grin grin grin I laugh in Swahili.... Let me give you the road to buy kingship in Yoruba land, go to a place called Giwa Oke-aro in Lagos, tell them you want to buy for your dog for so, so amount of money, they'll give it to you, I heard they sell the throne there too... Yorubas are copy cats, they don't know the Genesis how something started, because they believe it's profitable for the Igbos, they are bent on copying it to the last... And I have never in my whole life seen a dog ruling a throne here in igbo land, but I can tell you presently an insane "All Royal Highness " grin grin on a throne In Yoruba land, that wants to cede your land to herdsmen, and all you people can do now is cry, cry like a baby cry cry....
