But you don't really need to worry, some of us applied since very early May, no response yet after biometrics.
Nawa oh. Can't you send an email? I'm worried because my program starts mid August.

@Ratawu thanks a lot bros, how about the To: dates that comes up as error after initial successful validation. The picture I attached explains my situation. Or can I go ahead and upload irrespective of validation since it's online submission and I do I necessarily need validate/barcodes

As for your current place of work put a future datewhich you intend to leave that place when eventually your granted the study visa

Hallo guys, please I need your help and advice, am a twin and my twin brother is in Nigeria while am studying in Germany. He is a graduate of electrical electronics with a cgpa of 2.82/5.00 and he want to pursue Canada hustle through study.
Please does he stand a chance of being admitted either for Msc or PGD in any cheap Canadian school.
U guys help and advice will be greatly appreciated. Dankeschön

He is always welcome to push the hustle via this forum
And yes he stands a chance to gain admission into PGC/d and as for the masters it would depend largely on his work experience and gpa for the last two years tough but not impossible.
God can do anything if only we can believe.

There are important link on the first page of this part that will help him. Good luck to him and God’s speed

You are getting those errors because you are using Foxit Reader. Use Adobe Reader to fill the form and you should be fine. I know this because someone I was helping had the exact same problem and was solved as soon as he changed to Adobe Reader.

Thanks a lot bro for taking my worries away. Your suggestion worked immediately I copied same saved file and opened via Adobe Reader. Appreciate!

Hi goingforward,

Once your study permit is approved, a visa foil will still be issued to you irrespective of the valid visiting visa you have. This is to help officers at the point of entry identify your purpose in Canada on arrival and subsequently issue you with the right document(s) for your stay. The category of visa is clearly written on the visa foil. So upon arrival, the officer would ask what you are in Canada for, once you say studying, the expect to see a visa issued for your study permit on your passport. Same as visiting, if you say visiting, your visiting visa must be valid too as well as other requirements for a visit.

So in summary, each visa is issued for a purpose and will be clearly written on the foil. Your answers to questions at the POE will determine the one the officer will check at the POE for validity and for issuance of appropriate documents. The only exceptional case is a PR approval. All other previously issued TRV will be cancelled.

Hope this is clear enough.

Regards.

Hi @Austinpee4,

Thanks for your response.
Will the visitor's visa be canceled while the student visa is issued or the student visa will be issued in addition?
Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks

goingforward.

On my TRV, it is clearly indicated that it's a Student Visa. So yes, a separate Student Visa exists and I think you'll still be asked to submit your passport.

Hi @kylexy61,

Okay thanks for the info.

Any idea where your application was processed? Is it identified in the request letter you got?

Got my stamped passport back yesterday. It was processed in London.

While I agree that this is close to the truth, we have people in this group that were denied even after 10 and 12 weeks.

@blaqnony

After 10 and 12 weeks? That will be very devastating

What happens

Apart from Study permit form made outside Canada you filled as a principal applicant and the family information form, your spouse will fill application for work permit as well as family information form. For children above 5 years, you fill study permit form for them while less than 5 year chikdren will take visit visa form.

So thick study permit for yourself and children over 5 years and open work permit for your hubby and visit visa for children under 5

For biometrics, u pay $170 for family

Hi guys... Please is it really important/necessary to include affidavit of sponsor in an application ? I'm finding it so hard to get it notarized and I'm putting in my application first thing tomorrow morning here in Dubai.

If your sponsor is not a third party and you have a sponsorship letter from him/her then affidavit of sponsorship is not necessary but if you are using third party as your sponsor then I will advise you get affidavit of sponsorship. Though, I think I have seen some approval on here without affidavit of sponsorship in documents submitted. IMO try to include it as it stands as a legal document from your sponsor pledging to financially support your education.

The Sponsor is my Uncle...Same Surname with my Mom .. And the problem with the affidavit is , they won't notarize it if he is not present .

Your Uncle is in category of third party. Has he paid for your first year tuition fee and sent your living expenses into your account? or has he sent both your tuition fee and living expenses for your first year into your account? Doing this is a proof that you have direct access to your required first year expenses. If that has been done and he has written a convincing sponsorship letter in regard to why he is sponsoring you and explained how he intend paying for your subsequent years expenses in the letter. Also, if he has given you a good statement of account to show he would be able to sponsor your entire years of studies with other documents to proof his source of income and identity then I believe you would be fine without the affidavit of sponsorship. People with third party have gotten their approvals without affidavits of sponsorship but they were able to convince the VO with other documents submitted that their Uncle is capable and genuine sponsor. Best of luck.

More so, since he is your maternal uncle you have to submit his birth certificate, your mom's birth certificate, your mom's marriage certificate as well and if your uncle has international passport try to submit his data page. These documents are for proof of relationship between your uncle and mom.
