TempleChinedum: That Electoral ammendment bill is what is giving Sarraki strong mind that his game against the government is working but it will backfire on him. Sarraki is too selfish. He knows fully well that if Buhari wins 2nd term, he will lose the SP seat. Power intoxicates |

nkul:This is 2011 election He said: “Contrary to lingering speculations, the actual cost of the 2011 elections, including all costs involved in the voter registration exercise, is N66.3 billion for recurrent expenditure and N56.6 billion for capital expenditure – making a total of N122.9 billion or, if you like, $800.6 million at an exchange rate of N153.5 to $1 which prevailed at the time. “This represented a saving of N9 billion on a total of N131.4 billion that was appropriated.” |

nkul: This is for 2015 Nigeria spent a whopping N108.8 billion to conduct the 2015 general elections, which produced President Muhammadu Buhari, 31 governors, 109 senators and 360 House of Representatives members, as well as thousands of state assembly members. The breakdown of the amount per the 68, 833, 476 registered voters translates to N1,749.38 per Nigerian voter or $8.33 at the exchange rate of N210 per Dollar at that time. The amount per Nigerian voter compares favourably to the 2011 general election budget with a provision of $9 per voter.
