I am rather impressed at the effort the Police put into investigating Senator Adeleke’s WAEC certificate. I just wish the Nigerian Police had also put in the same diligence in investigating President Buhari’s WASCE Certificate.

Kemi Adeosun admitted to forgery and was escorted to Nnamdi Azikiwe airport to board a business class flight to London. Senator Adeleke is accused on forgery and is asked to report to the force headquarters for arraignment in court just days to Osun election. Meanwhile Buhari, the man of integrity, does not know the whereabouts of his own certificate .

The Nigeria police force has filed charges against a governorship aspirant in the upcoming Osun State election, Senator Ademola Adeleke, at the Federal High Court in Abuja. The charges against the Senator include examination malpractice, aiding and abetting, impersonation, and criminal conspiracy.

Read the police press statement below; 

On 21st July 2017, the Osun State Police Intelligence Bureau (SIB) received and acted on an actionable intelligence about an ongoing examination malpractice involving Senator Ademola Adeleke and Sikiru Adeleke at OJO/Aro Community Grammar School in Osun state.

When the Police operative arrived at the school, only Sikiru Adeleke was found seated for the examination while Senator Ademola Adeleke seat was vacant and was suspected to have escaped before the arrival of the Police operatives.

Further investigation revealed that both Senator Ademola Adeleke and his brother Sikiru Adeleke registered and were sitting for the National Examination Council Examination (NECO) 2017 as internal candidates impersonating students of the School at the ages of 57years and 42years respectively. This crime was facilitated by the principal of the school, and two other members of staff of the school for which they are under investigation and being charged to court.

The Principal of the school, Alhaji Aregbesola Mufutau, the staff responsible for registration, Mr Gbadamosi Thomas Ojo and a teacher Mr dare Olutope were arrested on 21 July 2017. Senator Ademola Adeleke was arrested on 27 July 2017 and Sikiru Adeleke was arrested on 8 August 2017.

Senator Ademola Adeleke made cautionary statement and admitted that he registered for the 2017 NECO examinations as an internal student in the said school but he didn’t sit for the examination.

However, Police investigation revealed the following prima facie and culpability facts against Senator Ademola Adeleke and four (4) others.

i. Senator Ademola Adeleke made cautionary statement and admitted that he registered for the 2017 NECO examinations as an internal student in the said school and did not sit for the examination but have a result from NECO with Seven (7) Credit and One (1) Pass, a copy of which was obtained from NECO by the Police.

ii. The Ojo/Aro 2017 NECO, SSCE school photo album (School’s copy), with Senator Ademola Adeleke and Sikiru Adeleke Photographs in school uniforms in the said album, Senator Ademola Adeleke in the NECO 2017 Result obtained by the Police claimed that he was born on 12th June 1997 but in his statement to the Police, senator Ademola Adeleke wrote 13th May 1960 as his Date of Birth.
iii. The photographs of both Senator Ademola Adeleke and Sikiru Adeleke appearing side by side in the photo album have no NECO stamps on them.

Senator Ademola Adeleke and four others were arrested, investigated, granted bail and being charged to court. Charges of Examination Malpractice, Criminal Conspiracy, Personation, Breach of Duty, Aiding and Abetting against Senator Ademola Adeleke (PDP Governorship Aspirant in the 22nd September, 2018 Gubernatorial Election in Osun State) and four (4) others namely; MR Sikiru Adeleke, Alhaji Aregbesola Mufutau (Principal of Ojo-Aro Community Grammar School, Egbedore LGA, Osun State), Mr Gbadamosi Thomas Ojo (School Staff responsible for the registration of candidates for NECO), Mr Dare Olutope (School Teacher who facilitated the commission of the crime) have been filed at the Federal High Court, Abuja under the Examination Malpractice Act, CAP E15, 2004 today, Wednesday, 19th September, 2018.

Consequently, Senator Ademola Adeleke (PDP Governorship Aspirant in the 22nd September, 2018 Gubernatorial Election in Osun State) and four (4) others namely; MR Sikiru Adeleke, Alhaji Aregbesola Mufutau (Principal of Ojo-Aro Community Grammar School, Egbedore LGA, Osun State), Mr Gbadamosi Thomas Ojo (School Staff responsible for the registration of candidates for NECO), Mr Dare Olutope (School Teacher who facilitated the commission of the crime) are hereby advised in their own interest to report to the Special Investigation Panel, Force Headquarters, Abuja immediately for arraignment in court.

Before you get angry , remember Isiaka Adeleke (Eldest brother and former governor of Osun )had just died, he went to one of their political meetings , as fate would have it , it turned out that would be his last outing , Per muslim right his body was not delayed, it was buried the next day , He died on 23rd, was buried 24th , every relevant people from both APC and PDP went to the burial , it was an emotional day for Osun state

Remember that outing i mentioned earlier ? it was rumored that Isiaka ate meat and that was quite unusual also Isiaka had decamped to APC for reasons best known to him (actually it's because of Omisore, I learnt Omisore physically assaulted Isiaka , even brought a gun out to threaten the man so he swore he would be in the same party with him )

Because the man was rumored to have eaten at the said outing Ms. Idiat Babalola was beaten to stupor by angry Ede youths, it took the efforts of Amosun , Saraki and other dignitaries to save the woman from the mob , They claimed Aregbe / APC killed Isiaka so that he wouldn't contest for Governorship under APC platform !!!

Anyways The Adeleke's family being who they are wanted Demola the Dancer to replace Isiaka Adeleke in the Senate , APC knew Demola couldn't handle the post , Besides , there were other people qualified and fit to replace the Isiaka , also it's against APC's rules or is it manifesto , Also note Demola the dancer was not a member of any party up until the issue of Senate came up


Adeleke's dragged that for a while until PDP offered instant ticket as senator if he decamps back to PDP , Demola took the bait and decamped ... What happened next was the evil of all evils , PDP started using hate campaign, they started publicizing that APC actually killed Isiaka Adeleke , they claimed APC paid the doctors and nurses to falsify the results from Autopsy , it came to a point that any known APC members were being assaulted publicly, very popular touts from Lagos came to ede in their Hiace / Hummer buses and spent days / weeks in Ede , it was a bad time


Then time was fixed for Bye Elections , ordinarily the post belonged to APC remember? APC should have produced a candidate within themselves no elections from the public, but since demola decamped and wanted the post it turned to a real election , Considering the tension in the state , Aregbesola or APC did not field a strong candidate and even asked APC members not to go out for their own safety

Bottom line , all he got was symphaty votes with the use of Propaganda , Also it's hard to tell if APC knew Demola was not educated is probably why they didn't offer him the job in the first place, Fast forward to right now , we just discovered PDP desperate for attention and votes bypassed all the right processes and installed him as a senator

Criminal charges can be instituted against anybody irrespective of when the crime was committed. Police cannot declare him wanted immediately, they have to properly investigate and gather evidences before charging him to court. Investigating a matter like this would involve waiting for NECO to officially release the result and then getting the certified true copy from the institution. Takes quite a lot of time.

Please can someone send me a link to the WAEC webpage where this press release was published or can someone tell me the WAEC spokesperson that is releasing all this information. Secondly, why hasn't this case been concluded all this while? Since they are so sure and have "the so called evidence". Why start a case, three days to the election?
