Anambra is a homogeneous and unique race. We are like no other. The average Anambra indigene sees himself as Anambra first before Igbo.

Stop this divisive and competitive mentality. Anambra is just a state, a political creation. Igbo is Igbo and we're one and the same.

He's using Igbo moniker doesn't mean he's Igbo please.

Its simple, just like Onitsha people, they're called Igbo when favors are required of them, but when it's time for political appointments or juicy contracts, they're reminded that they're not pure/ real Igbo's, It's just like the Egun people of Lagos that have been sidelined and the yorubas.

I have Igbo friends (liberal though) and love the Igbo people for their industrious nature, but they tend to be very tribalist, especially the conservative ones, you've seen the case of a even catholics rejecting an archbishop, because he's not mbaise, even the vatican had to intervene,
whereas, in uniben, they've had an Igbo VC, Prof. Emmanuel Nwanze, not benin, but completely different tribe, you can't try that in any eatern institution be it federal or state and even religious as i stated above

Stop being very unfortunate in life. Asagba of Asaba is a prominent member of Ohanaeze imeobi. Late Ikemba Ahaba, Achuzia was Ohanaeze secretary General for years, late Ambassador Ralph Uwachue was a two tenure President of Ohanaeze Ndiigbo. Asaba city had hosted Igbo world day recently.
Zik was an Onitsha Man and yet was the Igbo numero uno, respected by all for decades in Igboland.

Egun is a distinct ethnic group of their own, they are not Yorubas, their language is not Yoruboid, stop comparing their situation with Ndiigbo in Enu ani Who has always been stake holders in Igbo Commonwealth and speak Igbo as first and only mother tongue. The equivalent of Egun in Igboland would be Igala Who exists In Enugu, Anambra States and Ebu part of Enu ani in Delta state. The Idoma who exists in Ette town, Igbo Eze North Enugu, the Kele minorities who exists in Okpoto, Effium and Ntezi of Ebonyi state. Those people are not Igbos and don't speak Igbo as first language but are today part of Igbo Commonwealth.

The real tribalists I know are Yorubas. Your tribalism destroyed the western region and led to the agitation for Midwestern region by the western minorities when you lots reduced the likes of Oba Bini to ordinary floor members.
The Yorubas hated each other and fought deadly Kiriji wars amongst themselves for years, it was so bad that you tribalist lots happily welcomed colonialization just so to end the war. The Ijebus were very highly despised by other Yorubas, it took the rise of Awolowo to get a level ground for Ijebus. Ijebus on their own part were claiming to not be descendants of Oduduwa but migrants from Sudan, if Awolowo didn't rise, the Ijebus would have likely become an independent ethnic group today. Even today, it's norm for other Yorubas to make derogatory remarks at Ijebu people. You hear things like Baba Ijebu etc.
Your tribalism is so bad that just few Years into independence, you lots set your region into fire, dividing it into Akintola and Awolowo factions, maiming each other in streets like babarians.
You couldn't evolve to understand the simple act of peaceful resolution of conflicts.

Don't even let me begin on the subtle religious battle for supremacy in Yorubaland between Yoruba Muslims and Christians?

Point is that as a Yoruba person, you have a big log of wood in your eyes, and have not earned the right to be pointing at specs on Igbo eyes.
Learn to mind your own business and leave Ndiigbo out of your miseries.
I pity the so called ignorant liberal Igbos who are friends with peeps like you. Ala ekwekwala ngwerre gbaa aji!

Chief Igariwey from Ebonyi was the immediate past president of Ohanaeze Ndiigbo.

Anyim Pius Anyim was nominated the SE caucus Senate president during the OBJ era and he was also nominated the SGF by SE PDP caucus when GEJ zoned the SGF post to SE as the highest political post to the region.
I guess Anyim Pius is no longer from Ebonyi ?

Dave Nwaeze Umahi is the governor of Ebonyi state and current leader of SE governors forum.

Nwanne, communities in Orumba South LGA of Anambra don't have the Nze na Ozo culture, and they remain Anambra people.
Any snake or eke that ventures into Umunze, Ogbunka, Ezira, Owerre Ezukala, Umuchukwu, etc, ga anwu, nwuyuo anya. No just go there.
There are communities in Imo that don't kill pythons too, does that make them Ndi Anambra as well? Biko let's not deceive ourselves.

Anambra is an artificial creation of Nigeria state, and would most likely cease to exist the day Ndiigbo gets our independence from Nigeria.
Heck, there are even non Igbos in Anambra, the Igalas.

In the same vain, I will be absolutely correct to say that there are no Yorubas in Kwara State and Kogi State. The fact that some parts of Kwara State and some parts of Kogi State speak Yoruba Language and answer Yoruba names DOES NOT make them Yorubas.
