The truth is that BUHARI has killed Nigeria with his ear infection. So no money to pay for even students in Nigerian universities let alone traveling abroad for studies 2 Likes |

chelseaeternity: When you have a President with a PhD and keen on education, partnering and collaborating with stronger economies on education will obviously grow. When you have a President who does not know how to express himself, he will not only cancel PRESSID, but ensure that he destroys education at all levels. Come on, Nigerians, let us stop this pretense. We should start to tell ourselves the truth. 3 Likes 1 Share |

It changes nothing. It only shows that our people have discovered other destinations to source for knowledge... Our education is already on ground zero, because most of our curricula are outdated and sometimes as student, I wondered why a lecturer will be asking us same questions some 10 to 20 sets before us did in a particular course. No creativity, nothing. Just copy and paste. If our dear minister of education will be proud to post on Facebook, a picture of himself attending his son's convocation in the UK, it goes to show that the situation seems irredeemable. Of course, it is. It's just that we don't know what we are doing in this part of the world. Every penny paid as school fee by students outside their shore is enriching the recipient country. Is it not time we stopped enriching already wealthy countries. An average Nigerian graduate from federal or state owned universities (excluding graduates from private institutions) face so much societal pressure. Especially those whose parents ain't so lettered. The moment you told them you are done from school, they expect you to start bringing something. Even if you haven't secure any form of employment. They don't realize these guys needs to go steps further. This pressure contributes in no small measure to the increase rate of suicide amongst young folks. For those whose parents are lettered, the situation might be a bit different. Many of those guys being paraded by EFCC are graduates, they venture into internet fraud just to measure up. No justification for crime though, tough times don't last tough people do. The ones whom we dubbed celebrities are faking everything, from posing with another man's properties to taking pictures- selfie in another's car just to show off. Fake backside, fake boob, fake hair, fake education, fake everything..... 11 Likes 1 Share |
