Bros, its your lack of knowledge and intolerance wey no follow. In North Africa, and some other countries, weekend is friday and saturday and first day of the week is Monday. We are british colony and we have saturday sunday as weekend. Now, internationally, you allow 15mins for prayers for muslims, others have their holidays. We have 2 floating holidays in the usa for the jewish holidays. Stop thinking everyone or everything has to be defined the way you want or choose or handed over by british, you make things that will work for everyone living together. Now, the endless traffic due to Redeemed on Lagos Ibadan is wrong, so also is the blocking of highways close to mosque to pray on fridays is wrong, also, having Churches in residential buildings with big loudspeakers and microphone is wrong as well.

Our point is that Muslims own Lagos State.
Lol,Christian yorubas are normally not into politics
In ijebu side of Ogun state, although they have strong Islamic history
Their billionaire Christians were the ones ruling them
Y do u think tinubu was famzing adeboye
Tinubu also went to meet oyedepo in omu aran
Even tinubu knows something u don't
The total Christian population in Lagos, that control the economy education commerce are Christians
I don't think I have to tell u that
Go to Ilorin and see those controlling the big businesses there
If tinubu dies today, u will know what's up
In osun, the places with large Muslims population ede Iwo are small and largely undeveloped compared to ife and Ilesha
Average Christian focuses on business and jobs
Its only Muslims that see everything through religion
When Christians were complaining then in lagos Is y tinubu quickly chose ambode
I'm an atheist and I don't really care about religion
But in Ibadan and ogbomoso the two largest cities in oyo has large population
Ibadan now, there is no street or corner u won't see ekiti people there
In fact, the only areas u will c the real indigenous Ibadan people are different to where u will see other yorubas tribe
If u have a state capital, expect influx of guest
These guests will make up the numbers
Nobody cares about indigenes anymore
Only money

Who tell you the majority of Yoruba are Muslims? how did you do your censor?

sir, your question should be directed to the person I quoted. he made the claim not me.

That's why I also said in my response that "if it's true that majority of Yorubas are Muslims" because I wasn't sure about the assertion.

Look at you. When do you people allow the campus to rest with your fellowships? Everyday you disturb the whole campus.

Should sunday be part of normal statutory 5 days formal activities, I am sure the whole day would have left for no other thing that church activities.

Leaving just 3hours once in the whole week is now your headache.

No discrimination should be condone by any authority, just for peace to reign. Everyone has right to design his volition anyway it suits him.

We being different religiously should not be an avenue for enmity...anyway for the matured ones sha.

Ogun is not balanced, Christian's are in the majority, I'd say a 65-35. Osun it's a 70-30 split and Oyo its maybe a 65-35. And we already know Christian's in Ekiti are 98-2 and Ondo 70-30. For Lagos, if we look at the people who live there, it's definitely a 70-30. How would I know? Well, i tend to move around alot and i have lived in all of the SW states over the entire course of my life, and that includes Kwara as well which is 95-5 muslim.

So I really don't know why anyone would suggest that Muslims are in the majority in the SW. I get that Muslims would like to be in the majority and they are actively working to be in the majority, especially the illiterate muslims sowing seeds everywhere without care but Muslims are not in the majority in the SW of Nigeria. It just appears to be because they are in firm control of the ruling party's political structure of the SW and they more often than not, have shown that they will vote along religious lines (as seen in Osun state specifically, though we can argue that Aregbesola actively introduced this into the politics of that state and he brought out the worst elements from within the Muslim cohorts from the Iwo, Ede and Osogbo axis, a crime I'll always hold against him and which will still come back to haunt him even as he seeks to take up the mantle from Tinubu as leader of the political machinery of the SW
Alternatively, when Akande was governor he never sought to make it about religion despite him being a Muslim, a man I truly respect and admire)

But overall, I don't know how religion helps us achieve our objectives of being better and doing better for ourselves. It's all about hate, hate and hate. Separation, discrimination and division. That is the only thing religion has been good for as far as we are concerned.

Quick questions: Have you been to the South West? Ok, in case you haven't, majority of Ondo, Ekiti, and Lagos indigenes are Christians, while most of Oyo and Osun are Muslims. Ogun State is kind of balanced. Are you clear now?

Your last paragraph speaks sense.

So if a Muslim VC fixes some useless meeting for Sunday morning, it's fine too?

University of Ibadan should respect freedom of worship. These lecturers are agitating for inclusion in board meeting however such meetings are held during jumat prayers. Some schools stop lectures by 12p.m to allow Muslim faithful to pray afterall their christian counterpart have Sundays for themselves or would you rather have the school have their meetings on Sunday morning?
No preference shld be given to any religion. If schools hold on Sundays, Christians will gladly accommodate the change. Churches in Dubai dont take place on Sunday and heaven did not fall.

Good question. I will say 50-50. The three major religions in Nigeria are actively practice in the South West. That is Christianity, Islam, & traditional (Ifa, Osun, Ogun,). What I discovered is open mindedness of the people. Almost every family in Yoruba land has Christian, Muslim and Traditionalist. Even Oyedepo, the great preacher family still got many in his family. Koko Zaria, the right hand man of MC Oluomo is one of them. .Open mindedness means I may not fancy your beliefs but we can still live together peacefully. Many families have Christian father and Muslim mothers. It goes vice versa. Tinubu and Fashola wives are Christians. The Muslims in the North are very different, they take it too serious. They can even kill their own child if he converts to Christianity.
