Good evening all.
I applied to Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin and HS Rhein-Waal for masters..application is still on, but I'll like to know if there's anyone that applied to the school as well..I applied to "international business" and "economics and finance" respectively.
I also want to know if they give admission while application I still on..because I've applied for visa interview date, though I'm still waiting to a date to be assigned me..I need to know if its after deadline that ALs start rolling in.

Help a brother.

Guys, I’m back! grin

Firstly, I sincerely apologize for not providing updates this past couple of days. I’ve been so overwhelmed with preparation.

To make up for that, I’ll be providing updates from my time at the International Airport in Lagos all through to the hotel we were lodged in Cairo, Egypt.

My flight yesterday was for 2:45pm hut I made sure to get to the airport before 11pm. Checking-in and getting through the searched really went well!! Except for the fact that my St Ives body cream that was confiscated because it was prohibited in my hand luggage. E pain me sha.

Got into the plane and headed to my reserved window seat. I did that by logging into the Egyptair website to check in 24 hours before departure.

See ehn, let’s leave story for now, let me drop pictures!grin

Don’t forget to like, share and comment! Thank you! smiley

please which of th st ives cream are you using?

Great job prince!
how is life in Potsdam, and Brandenburg in general? What challenges are you facing as an international/black student studying in Eastern Germany?

Hello,

University of Potsdam is a prestigious university in Germany. Most students I know in Potsdam live around campus but work in Berlin.

Tbh, East Germany is still majorly underdeveloped and save for Berlin, it would probably be worse for not just foreigners but black students. However, you’ll find very accommodating people all around you.

Cheers.

Hello guys, grin

I know it’s been a while and some of you would want to whoop my ass. I thoroughly deserve that tbh. I apologize to each and everyone of you for ‘disappearing’. It is important to make you understand why it all happened that way.

Simply put, life happened!

In a particular post I made last year about the process of relocating to Germany, my first point was deciding if you really want to relocate to Europe. This is because, it could seem overwhelming for a while at first. One would need to unlearn majority of what has been learnt and start learning new things that would have seem weird in the first place.

Brethrens, the process was very difficult for me!

Inasmuch as i was somewhat familiar with the most important things, the very simple/easy education of the German culture was difficult for me to grasp.

Then school! Then I started working! (Students can work for a limited number of hours) What I wasn’t prepared for was that bookworm like me would fall out of love with school. It got so worse before it got better. (I will make a whole post for this later)

So why did I go AWOL? Life o! Life came at me hard.

But to be honest, I’d rather not have it another way! grin

—————————

So I am back to posting about my experiences now! I will scroll through my photo gallery and I’m sure I’ll find pictures and then tell the story behind it. This should be fun, folks.

PS: As I’m typing this, I am presently on a flight from Berlin to Brussels, Belgium. My vacation is about to get started. So we will have so much fun together, don’t worry ehn! For the rest of this year, , I’ll be going to Istanbul, Prague, Barcelona, Copenhagen and finally London.

I’ll make it up to you! Just stay with me! wink grin

Döner

Guys, let’s talk about the snack that has kept me alive for the past 1 year. grin

Döner is the foremost fast food in Germany. You’d think it originated from here but no! It originally is a Turkish snack. What am I saying sef. Döner is 100% Turkish.

Think of Gala in Nigeria. That’s how Döner is here.

And I have had it almost every week since I got here! grin

I hope you enjoy the pictures I have been taking of different Döners.

Steps to Study in Germany
____________________________________________
1. Decide that you want to study in Germany: This is very important! You have to make up your mind that you want to relocate to this European country that prides itself in its language and culture! This means you’d be relearning all you’ve been opened to up until now and would be learning a bunch of new things!

Even though majority of programs are English-taught and education in Germany’s public university is free (bar for the semester fees; which covers your public transportation for 6 months), relocating to Germany can be pretty much overwhelming!

Bottom line, you need to decide if studying in Germany is for you!

2. Applicantion Phase

i: Find Programs/Universities of your choice via www.daad.de/en

ii: Go to your school and get the following documents
(a) Undergraduate or HND Certificate and transcripts of record

OR

1st year Certificate Transcript of records (Applicable to students going for Bachelor degree programs)

(b) English Proficiency Letter (stating all your courses were taught in English)

OR

IELTS or TOEFL (International English test certificates)

(And any other educational documents required by the school(s) you’re applying to e.g. *First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC), WAEC/NECO certificates, etc.)

iii. A compelling or professionally written Letter of Motivation in line with your intended course of study

iv: 2 (Two) Letter of recommendations from your lecturers (If applicable).

v: Certify your document at the German Consulate in Lagos or High court jurisdiction around you.

vi: Send your application to the school address (Direct application) or Uni-Assist (if applying through Uni-Assist is REQUIRED) through any EFFICIENT courier service of your choice. (I recommend TNT inside Fedex office)

3. RECEIVE ADMISSION LETTER(S)

4. Book appointment for interview and open block account with your Admission letter. Most importantly, fund your account or get your Sponsorship letter before your interview. I’ll talk more about it next...

hello sir! I would like u to clear me on this ..
