In military training they teach you to make proper use of materials you find in your environment to survive. That includes being able to source clean water and seeing which plants are edible.

I don't see what properly trained army personnel would drink straight from a stream. Even to store the water and allow the sediments to settle at the bottom of the drum, they couldn't smh

you can see that this one are worse, their case is more of illiteracy than ignorance.

I am 100% sure that they have enough clean water at the camp. Probably they are on a mission. Somewhere far away from thier camp. If soldiers leave the camp on a mission and they get stranded on the battlefield. They drink whatever they see to survive.

Do u know the quality of training given to nigerian soldiers....
Do u know if their endurance training entail sanitation of unclean water...
Do u know if they were equipped with basic filtration materials...

Are you justifying this kind of treatment for our Nigerian Army. The men laying down there lives to defend our territory. No human being suppose to be treated that way in there own country. There must always be provision for them before they run out of stocks. This is inhuman and I don’t understand why some people will always defend this FAILED government no matter what they do. The military is not for the faint hearted and I this occcurance took place when troops were on an expedition in a far remote area unfortunately supplies came late.
I can say further than that.
