I am not ibadan indigene but slums or no slums... Most of capital city in east are like 2 LGA area in Ibadan. All this brown roof area was pre colonial era civilization which during that time eastern region was still using grasses as roof. And they have large mass of land which make them neglected those area and still building modern structures in other axis. To let you know some land in Ibadan is above 100million naira for a plots eg Alalubosa gra and co. They have everything that make life meaningful in Ibadan.

when dugbe was built before the independent I hope nothing like 5 storey building in entire east. The back of dugbe u posted was dated back over 100years which most of state in Nigeria were still forest . Oluyole, new bodija, Akobo, aerodrome, alabusosa , elebu, Jericho, agodi area etc are the new ibadan city which can stand with any state in Nigeria in term of beautiful and modern houses. Iyanganku and Alalubosa GRA are still one of the expensive area in Nigeria

This scene is Olorunkemi not Oyapidan. Koronu is in Oyapidan which is adjacent to Olorunkemi. They were separated by express road.

Ignorant post and reporting, there are by far worst places than this area all over the country. It's not even a quarter as bad as Obalende Lagos.

It's worthy to note that I grew up very close to in this area they are painting with bad reporting, and of course, I went to school, graduated in flying colors and now work in a developed country

The place called koronu is located at academy area. It is called koronu because it is a place where you enjoy yourselves and forget your sorrows. It is a spot for hardworking people most especially trailer drivers whom come home during the weekend. They sell cat fishes, beef and many kinds of bokoto there. Seeing is believing, I live around the place. Most alhaji muhideen lectures for fele we're done in that area. The name of riginates from having fun and forgetting your sorrow. You are free to visit the place and find out the truth. Ko si ironu no ibeyen.
