People should go to churches and come out with a "God guide my path with humility and contentment" attitude not "get rich or die trying " attitude.

Just my thought too: nothingwrong with living in luxuey as a Pastor, after all, they are not called to a life of penury; if you work hard as a a Pastor, eat the fruit of your labour.
But, what am concerned about is this media hype.

Abraham and the Shunamite woman are good examples. they Abraham welcome angel which lead to d perfection of the coming of Issac, the Shunamite woman did the same, she was blessed with a son which was Habakkuk. You may say theirs was Angel, remember it was Angel in disguise. Some Pastor's are like Angel on earth.
Yes, we have many false prophets, but we still have true prophets. if tithing and giving pastor's gift doesn't work for, allow those it works for to be doing it.

I have not addressed the pastor, nor any particular person.

I specifically addressed your point, which was that pastors deserve to be happy by amassing nice possessions. I am drawing your attention to the fact that this declaration of yours does not appear to have a grounding in scripture.

And yes my dear, long-suffering, both in its literal meaning and the figurative sense in which you have used it, should indeed be traits every pastor should endeavor to uphold.

After all, Jesus made it clear that our reward is in heaven, and that every loss on earth will be repaid in heaven. so why should a Christian fear long-suffering?

Note, these are separate points, and this distinction is necessary in that I wish to make it clear that I have not said that a Christian should not work and have a decent life.
