Hello moms, pls I need advice and possibly real life experiences of anyone that have been through this. My DS will be 2years in 2weeks time. I didn’t worry, until recently that I began looking at schools for his enrollment come January.
1. He used to have about 10words in his vocabulary as at 14month old, and would readily repeat whatever u ask him to say. He would also turn around at the mention of his name. But he suddenly stopped saying actual words and resorts to occasional blah blah blabbing, wouldn’t talk no matter how much I prompt him. Doesn’t respond to his name either (noticed this after I came home with DD from the hospital after delivery, he also began sucking his tongue at this point). His hearing is perfect, that am sure. I believed it is cos of our isolated environment and introverted nature and he’ll pick up once he starts school and mixes up with kids his age. However, school admins of almost all the school I’ve been to say it’s very unusual for a kid his age to not communicate at all. Have anyone experienced this? Should I be very worried? Should he resume school immediately? Plus he has delayed teething. Still at 5teeth currently, has anyone experienced this level of delayed teething? His sucking of tongue habit is getting worse the more caution and spank his lip, will he stop this u think?

Am up this late with worry and browsing. What am seeing is not so encouraging. I feel like I let this happen. I shouldn’t have kept him isolated for this

long. Maybe he should have started school since he began walking. Am so confused. At the same time trying to make sure am not in denial.

My sister be calming down ,I can understand your fears. My 2.4yrs daughter was none verbal at two,i will call her name she will not respond @2 yrs mogbe shey village people haf not get mi bayi ?she like to be by her self watching nursery rhymes.i had to ask my sis shey all this nursery rhymes she has been listening to all this time. what is she doing with them?then one day we heard her singing twinkle twinkle little star shocked,so you have been storing all this things in your head ba,she recited 1-8 one day and we were shocked which kind pikin be this one though she is not talking fully yet but can say 'bye' 'see you" and as the spirit leads her to say.she will start school by January in order to help her improve on her vocabulary.

please pardon my writing all am trying to say is that give the young child time ,you will soon begin to see improvement.

Avoid hot water sitz bath. Use warm water with disinfectant to wash your veejay at least twice daily. Pat dry with a soft towel.. Change your pad regularly to maintain maximum dryness there. Be conscious of sitting with legs closed, this aids the stitch to be intact. Do not stretch your legs too much/far to carry the baby from the bed.
Please handle as a matter of urgency to avoid infection. Thank you

I understand your dear as I encountered such with my son (he's 4 now), at 2 and half he's speak was so limited and not understandable. Here are a few points that helped with him:
1. Make sure to talk to him even when he gives response you don't understand, make sure to continue communicating with him.
2. Since he's just starting school, follow up to make sure he's free there and have friends to talk to. I had to change my son's school when I noticed he wasn't free with others there and it helped.
3. Allow him watch children cartoons (you can restrict the hours he uses), I noticed when my son finally started talking he was using big grammars he got from he's cartoons and he already know what they means.
4. If it's possible to get a child of his age to come live with you please do so. Although my son's speech improves after he joined the new school, I noticed a very fast improvement after his cousin started staying with us.
5. If all these does not help, I'll advise taking him to a specialist.

I have a mutual fund account for my son with Stanbic, his dad operates the account. It's easy to operate, interest rate is okay (Interest rates has fallen generally but it's better than bank rate in my opinion). You get withdrawal within 24 hours of processing. Let me know if you have other questions.

Hello mamas please I'm thinking of opening a stanbic mutual funds account for my kids(based on the fact that some mothers uses that for their kids) but I have no idea how it works, interest, deposit, withdrawal, benefits, etc. I'd appreciate if someone can put me through please. Thankz

Thank you for the pointers momma. I enrolled him already. I’ll look into your fourth point. Perhaps we should go for a holiday to visit his cousins as well.

Hi mama's and papa's, what's the possibility of getting pregnant in less than 3 months postpartum. I'm exclusively breastfeeding. My baby sucks frequently.
very possible, exclusive breastfeeding is not family planning, congratulations

See ehn, babies are different. Sebamed is good, pricey too but doesn't mean it is best for your child. There's aveeno, chicco, boots, johnsons (get the original one).

People use jimpo ori, raw shea butter, coconut oil, baby oil, vaseline sef.

I've used boots, chicco, jimpo ori ( not a fan). You can try aveeno or sebamded, as they are hypoallergenic.

So, just buy what you can afford consistently.

You might need another round of antibiotics, since it is producing pus already.

Since this is the second time, something is definitely off somewhere. Might be stitching procedure or the way you care for it.

But why will they stitch without giving you an injection to numb that area? That's wickedness na. You can check out a general hospital and ask them if they give injections before stitching pls.

They ought to numb the area before stitching o. Haba! Re-stitching without completely numbing is traumatizing. Now there’s pus, it needs to be attended to and cleaned to avoid infection, which is worse. Summon courage momma to ensure it heals back to its original state.

For me I will say just continue with the way you've bathing him/washing his head to avoid him aspirating water

The reverse is our case
What can I give to soften poop
She takes pap, nutribom and cerelac
I don't make them too thick
Drinking water is always a struggle
I give warm water in the morning
Today is day5 and no poop, I'm worried and it's usually hard when it takes this long.
I've given warm water today, nothing yet
She's 8m
Boiled water are usually tasteless. Give her sachet or bottle water and you will see how much she will enjoy it. Na you go tire to offer water.
