shithapuns:

ok, we give fruit pureee as well. Baby Shows interest when we give adult food, mashed rice, swallow etc...

What of the formular, you still add it to the blended adult food?, Learnt they need the nutrients in formular for proper development.
You can keep adding the formula/breastmilk to foods that it'll go with...like fruits (avocado, banana etc). But you can also just offer them the milk when you feed stuff like amala.
I'm assuming your baby has gone pass the stage of purees, right?

Mamas in the house pls what's d fastest method to heal deep tear after labour. My cut is so deep with so much pains. put to birth on Sunday, n I can barely walk. Pls help me through this process
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by nikkyshyne(f): 1:20pm On Feb 17, 2021
1. I pump in the morning as soon as i wake, i pump at work in the afternoon, and i pump as soon as i get back home before feeding my baby.
2. My estate have a relatively good power. Infact i can count how many times i on the gen for the purpose of keeping my freezer frozen.
3. Refer to 1. Breast refilling is subject to the individual. Mine is usually full enough to pump 120ml after about 3 hours.
4. I sometimes take pap at night. This normally boost production by morning.
5. This ranges from 500ml - 550ml depending.
6. I wash with soap and running tap water after wish i rinse off with sachet water or any bottled water. I sometimes sterilize with the microwave or dip them in hot water.
7. I bought a breast milk bag like a ziploc. Fill them up to 130ml and store in the freezer. If she is going to use it up that day, i leave it in the feeding bottle and keep in the refrigerator.
8. No idea.

Note:
1. Before resuming back to work, start pumping. I had enough stashed in my freezer before i resumed.
2. You can give your baby only one breast throughout the night so that the other breast can be really full for pumping by morning.
3. My baby drinks up 5 bottles of 120 - 130ml each before i get back home by evening. I leave the house 6:30am and get back 7pm.
4. You need enough feeding bottles.

I am done with EBF now. Baby rejecting formula. I however, pump only at work now. I could express up to 360ml at a go now. Yes, i naturally lactate like crazy.
mayornmn:
Good afternoon mamas
I'm resuming soon and I want to ask some questions from mamas who have exclusively breastfed while working/schooling.Please don't ignore please even if its one you can answer out of the questions please do.My dd is 2 months btw.

2)If you pump and store in the freezer how do you maintain it with this naija light
3)When pumping how do you know you need to take a break and how long does it take for the breast to fill back
4)Do you take anything to boost lactation
5)How many mls/ounces do you pump per day
6)How do you wash and sterilize your pumping parts in between pumping
7)Where do you store the breast milk after pumping
coolPlease if you know any where I can pumping bra for plus size breasts in lagos please describe

It was exactly what melted my stitch with first birth and I had to be restitched .The pains is out of the world. hot water! Nne,sit on warm salt water in large bowl for up-to 10-20 mins not hot water the dry with towel and take lots of vitamin c/hospital drugs. plz gently tell her times are changing and the type of stitch used are supposed to heal with your skin. that's what my hospital told me. They melt in hot water! .If you did you are supposed to behaving relief by the 3rd day.

You can check the site with a mirror when you lie down.If theres a gaping flesh oryou are worried go back to your hospital.

Depends on your body. The pain should be subsiding with each passing day unless there is an infection. Tell mama not to use hot water. Warm water will do with vitamin C. Vitamin c helps to heal the tissues. You are supposed to be greatly relieved within 2 weeks. But might experience little pains for up to a month.

I guess you are tensed. Stress affects breastmilk production. Think less. Please don't starve the baby give her the NAN 1. She needs to eat to keep up her blood sugar. Hypoglycaemia in newborn ain't funny. Mix about one spoon of the formula in 30ml of water and give her. Give water after each feeds to avoid constipation. You might still need to be giving her formula till you have establish a good breastfeeding sessions with her.
Concerning your episiotomy, I can relate cos I can't even brush my mouth without pain, laugh nko no, cough na die. But I got better within two weeks. My hospital really advised against any sitz bath. I used warm water with dettol to wash the place. Then pat dry with soft towel. Changed my pad often. The goal is to keep the area dry always. Remember to keep your legs together while sitting to fasten the healing. Las las everything gonna be alright. Cheers

Oh no! If your milk isn't in yet give your baby formula to avoid shock from low sugar, plz follow the measurement on the container . Always give water after to avoid constipation but don't forget to be putting your baby to your breast. The sucking is what stimulates the breast to flow. you can use a breast pump too cos it mimics a baby's own or ask your husband to suck them.Use spoon and cup plsoo cos some babies when they see how easy it is from the bottle will not have patience sucking breast unless you express in a bottle unless you don't mind.

Try to make yourself happy and relaxed, it also affects milk production.

Ma, about d sit bath, do u mean it's not good? Cos my mom does sit bath for me with a small kitchen chair, with hot water on my tummy n every part. Doh I told her not to use it on my cut, like she did previously, n she listened. Should her tell her to stop sit bath completely?

As for baby food.. I will definitely continue with d nan 1, cos I really feel for her, she hasn't even added since birth.

Lastly pls how long did it take u to poo, cos since I put to birth I've not gone to toilet. Is it a thing to be worried about or its a normal thing everyone with episiotomy experience?

All these are taught during antenatals. Sitz bath is done sitting inside a big plastic bowl that can contain your buttocks where you've added your water and salt. some new ones are fitted to your toilet sit. Some docs frown against it cos so many new moms are confused with how hot the water should be so they end up melting their stitch and come back for restitching.Just make sure the area is always dry.

For the 1st week after childbirth your diet should mainly consist of fruits and veggies. My hospital normally advice we take lots of veggetable soup without swallow to get the guts going and plenty water. The first poop is very scary bcoz of fear of burstingv the stitch so it needs to be very soft. You can take any fruit you want. Orange is good too.All these will pass and you will get the hang of it.

My questions might look silly, but it better I ask than during d wrong thing for my little one.

I did before morning bath and night baths.During the day or peeing time or changing pad time I just wash with lukewarm water and dab with a dry towel.

No problems dear, we are all here to learn.Mine was worse with first birth too.We asked questions back to back here.

Just keep breastfeeding and eating and drinking water well. It will come with time. Take oat, pap and ovaltine malt drink. It helps.
