ok you are now in sokoto not kwara again.

No sensible Christian wears hijab if not under duress.

A female Christian can cover her body but never with hijab.

Hijab is prescribed dress for women under subjugation to Islam

It is a marker that sets a woman out as a Muslim

So any non Muslim woman that erroneously uses it is subjugating herself as a slave of allah

This issue is simple to solve. The number of grant aided Muslim schools is higher than the grant aided Christian schools (going by the number that was banned initially which is around 10.

The parents should withdraw all their people and put it in grant aided Muslim schools for easier integration and upholding of their religion (I can bet my last 20 kobo that, Muslim prayers are said in the said grant aided Muslim schools).

One thing with giving pathway to this issue is that, if the grant aided Christian schools should compromise on their stand, they should be willing to keep on compromising till the school becomes fully fledged grant aided Muslim schools.

Why is it always hard for this terrorist head slammers to understand a simple fact. the said schools have Christian heritage and they have made their law clear for all. if you are not comfortable with it you go to Islamic schools where suicide bombing are taught. is that hard to understand
I don't understand how difficult it is for the governor to understand that those Christian schools don't want anything to do with terrorism

To me the state government is biased. From the onset missionary schools has Christian doctrines while schools established by the Muslims has Muslim doctrines so anyone sending their wards to such schools should be ready to follow there lay down rules. Is just like saying Christian wards should goto Islamic schools without hijab they will never agree. But Muslims always try to infiltrate Christian communities.

This whole thing is a big mess with easy solution. Let every government owned institutions, agencies, schools, parks, malls etc have equal representation. Just as there are mosques in virtually all offices in Ilorin, let there be chapels built for Christian fellowship too, just as there’s a College of Arabic & Islamic Studies in the state, let there be a state funded theological school for Christians. After all, we are all taxpayers. No student should be denied wearing of hijab, berets, rosaries etc in any public school in the state. Equal provision should be made for a mosque & church ground within all schools regardless of their location. If we are looking for equality, justice, secularism & true freedom, this is how to do it so that no one feels trampled upon.

what have learnt so far about ilorin muslim, most of them are extremist, and hypocrites, many mosque will be preaching against Christian openly the funniest part of it is that it is Bible they will be using..You cannot do in Church..I can still remember my days in kwarapoly IOT mosque... was built inside the mini campus, why CCF fcs was built outside the school..We were forbid to do a virgil and there is another mosque besides CCF that always do vigil..There are some places you dare not preach about Christ..They will beat you,and pour water on you..But Muslim are free to do anyhow they like...Once they start to wear ijab, they will start bringing up ideas to build mosque in those schools...Ilorin Muslims very hypocritical...

Bery simple things but we always make them complex. I don't know why we always try making mountains out of mole hills.

For private schools established with missionaries' doctrines, the dress codes are usually clearly specified in documents accompanying admission offers. Same applies to schools established with Muslim doctrines.

For public schools, dress code are also specified in the documents and in a area with mixed religions, colours of hijabs are also specified for uniformity. This is very common in the North.

But I still don't understand how this should now be reason for muscle flexing again. undecided

Giving grant to a mission does not give you the right to dictate how they run their institution. There are billionaires worldwide who donate to University research programs, they do not dictate what happens at those establishments because you’re their benefactor. There are a lot of Christian mission who are willing to cover the cost of running those schools, let the Government return them to the mission for a level playing ground, instead of using the National Assembly to force your idea on an institution. The missions are better off running those schools.

Sometimes when I look at the way we go about religious things and start quoting the Nigerian constitution I laugh at our myopic hypocritical sanctimonious sentimental mindset.

That professor talking about religious tolerance....

Have you seen religious tolerance being played out when you see one muslim converting to being a Christian; guess it's all about choice?!!!
