As it stands, it is only gullible Yoruba man that will vote for PDP because we have no stake in that party, PDP is now Ibo party, Yoruba man ought to be PDP Party Chairman but they usurped us. Bad as it is, Tinubu has brought enough developm
ent to Yoruba land, just yesterday, Fashola flagged off reconstruction of Ikorodu - Ishagamu road. Lagos -Abeokuta road has started. Tinubu we know, OBJ and Afenifere are on their own

I pity you. Tribalism has really murdered your sense.

Is there no other means to do that Must they allow these blood sucking demons tho finish them all b4 they do something?

Well I hear they have some vigilantes who attack then back but what good does it do. Its just more innocent bloodshed. Insecurity and injustice had always been prevalent in Nigeria, but now its happening at an unprecedented rate. Buhari needs to go.

Politics / Re: Multiple Bomb Attack In Maiduguri Kills 5, Wounds 13, Including University Don by sambos994(m): 8:16pm On Mar 31, 2018
Cromcruach91:

Because that is the way teroor groups operate. If you don't lose, you win.

The Americans defeated the Taliban and Saddam's Iraqi forces by 2003. Here in Nigeria, we have beaten the Bokoists...they can no longer mount attacks as far as Kano and Kaduna, most of their cells have been rooted out, they have been losing territories since 2014, and they have a lot of their boys in jail.

The way terror groups operate is to frighten and sow confusion. Now, Boko knows they cannot capture Maiduguri (and every time they have tried they have been driven back with heavy losses.) They can, however, direct their cells in Maiduguri to mount an attack, kill lots of people, flee immediately. This has the aim of scaring people, and making the govt look ineffective useless. That is how they made the previous admin look poorly effective, and that is how they will do the same to this govt.(Kidnapping the Chibok and Dapichi girls falls into the same modus operandi...scare as many people as possible and sow confusion...even make the govt look foolish, incompetent, and also get funds via negotiation. That is why I don't believe that Chibok or Dapichi were scams....they were well thought out physical and psychological attacks designed to scare and confuse people. Boko are not a bunch of illiterates....they are a group of intelligent and evil thugs. Just like many of their precursors worldwide...secular and religious)

Same thing in the Iraq and Afghanistan. ISIS and the Taliban are not in charge. But they can just split up into small independent groups which hide in the population, mount an attack, and then withdraw. America thus looks silly, foolish, ineffective, hardhearted(drones operated by the US kill scores of innocents), and even is forced to come to terms with the terrorists...eg Berghdal case. In extreme circumstances..the US looks like a collaborator (they did fund the group Osama was part of once upon a time...long story)

That is how terror groups have operated from time immemorial. Right from the sicarii of Jesus's time (aka Zealots), down to the IRA, the Tamil Tigers, the FARC, Al Qaeda (Osama invented the modern, autonomous independent terror cell as we know it..9-11 is a good example. None of the gents had contact with Osama at all before the attack. ), ISIS, Hamas, etc operate and have operated. Not by fighting a physical war,but by fighting a psychological war. And that is why we may have technically defeated Boko...but Boko is still with us.

If they're still bombing they're not defeated. End of

Bros think positive of your country for once.

Keep on dwelling in your delusions. I dont know why you keep lying for the sake of Buhari. Our roads are s**t, electricity no dey, fuel expensive, entire villages are being wiped out, Boko Haram are now heroes, health care is non existent in this country, police brutality all over the country, and people are losing lives just so cows can chop some grass. But you want me to be positive about this country because buhari fixed a couple of railroads and wants to me to fvcking farm? I swears Nigerians deserve everything that happens to us. Did Buhari say he would not sign the agreement?
Just yesterday, à committee was set up to look into the agreement with a view to finding out how it would benefit Nigeria which to me is the best thing to do. You don't just sign anything that comes to your table especially an agreement between nations.

Even SA did not sign. This is not unconnected with their position in the African continent. Let it be reviewed first, let's see if it would be beneficial or detrimental to us. Even Obasanjo would not have just signed it if he was on that seat.

Do really think Buhari gives a s**t whether something is detrimental to the country or not?

The people deserve the leaders they get! As long as the Civil society is still very weak, all these drama will not end in Nigeria.

Those that will be deceived will be deceived. Those that will collect bribe will collect bribe. Those that will be technically silenced will be silenced and those that the government will extinguish will be removed from earth before 2019! That is the game in Nigeria...,and unfortunately, the civil society just don't get it!

Power doesn't belong to the people yet in Nigeria or Simply the people don't realise they have power, so they sell it to Bubu and other failed politician

so you want the east that have coal to have electricity while other part of the country with no resources to generate electricity to remain in darkness. one Nigeria is not negotiable.

Use your brain for once

Coal can be transported and used all over the country. Just like tomatos that come from the north are transported and distributed around the country.

Tribalistic thinking like this will kill us. This is exactly what I was talking about earlier. We're so concern about a tribe/region "overtaking" another.

You are correct sir. People who are saying good leaders alone will solve the problems are only partially right. Good leaders under a defective structure like Nigeria will not achieve anything. It is like planting a good seed in a bad soil.

I mean it's clear as day that we need to restructure this country. Why a multi ethic state like Nigeria is be ran like a central state (where politicians off different ethnic will fight to the death and sacrifice their own people to attain that central power) I dont know. My brother the reason why we dont have electricity is the same reason why we have bad road, no healthcare, dirty water, Fulani killing, lack of education, violence, etc. The foundation of the country is rotten. Restructuring is needed whether we like it or not.

I have come to realize that we have so much hate for each other its blindind us from progress. That and our egos. As long as another tribe we dont like is suffering we will be fine with suffering. We dont care if the president is thief as long as he is our "brother". Some people will vote for buhari because "is it your business for who i want to vote" or "I'll vote buhari again and you will keep crying". Only for us to complain about government incompetence after the damage is done. Every election I see bright candidates with FRESH IDEAS but we want to vote them in because "we don't know them". Mtschewww I no fit laugh.

Someone explain to me why is it that in order to fix a road: LGA chairman has to open yansh for governor, then the governor has to open yansh for FG, then maybe if the president likes you...he'll send some money for the road that the governor will then chop. Only for the road to be subpar and in need fixing again in a couple months time.

If we restructure the LGA can simply have the contractors fix road without any Governor or FG interference but no...let's keep doing Afonja vs Igbos.

All we need to do is:

-Decentralize the government. Give resources control to the states. Give infrastructural power (roads, edifices, power grinds) to LGAs.

-Privatize, companies like PHCN and NNPC should be broken up into private companies/businesses that solely for providing goods like gas and electricity.

-Deregulation, have the market determine prices for things such as gas (if we did that during the Fuel Subsidy problems we would've been paying N90-100 and opposed to the N200

It could all be so simple. But no, we have to be stupid.

If we all know this....then I don't understand why we dont want to decentralise the government. Make every tribe/state control their resources how they deem fit. Why are we so stubborn.
