I rather get robbed checking on an abandoned crying baby than to ignore one thinking it's a robbery attempt. I don't care what anyone says, I will not allow thieves or terrorists stop me from having compassion towards another human being. But thanks for the heads up.
armed robber job is not good. Change ways.

Instead of waiting like OP to observe, you could even be lucky to see the mother come back aroun to check something if it is a case of abandonment.

I don't know who is right and who is wrong in the battle. But I am sure that selfishness, greed and ego are the cause of the battle.

If such a thing happens in the Igbo land, the narrative will be that Igbo people hate one another. Bigots will say that the Igbo should not lead Nigeria since the Igbo people cannot lead themselves.

If it happens among pastors or Bishops, the narrative will be that Christianity is a white man's weapon to destroy Africa. Religious bigots will say that Christianity is a scam.

On the other hand, who sends the army on a mission like this? Is it not obviously illegal for soldiers to interfere in this case?
A governor dethroned a king and another governor re-enthroned the old king. If the old governor was right to dethrone, logically, the new govt should have power to further enthrone a king also. APC is just afraid they may never get Kano back and Kano isnt easily "riggable" without local support unlike other places.

Marriages now are unbalanced. The demands too are unreal. The expectations are unjustly high one side. To cope in a country where everything just went up by 3 or 4 fold is no joke. Which employer will give you increase? If any, it is minimal.

Food / Why Is Garri So Expensive? by Sibrah: 5:11pm On Apr 25
A measure of 8 cups was still selling for N100 as recent as March 2020 as compared to N700 and above so I wonder what has increased sevenfold about cassava or garri that is making it so expensive.

Is it the low production, materials, or fertilizers, or seeds, or labour, higher demand, or just plain greed?

Politics / Re: Nigeria Poor? Unable 2 Pay Subsidies? But Rich Enough 2 Pay Politicians Billions by Sibrah: 3:54am On Feb 15
Ttalk:

The crux of the matter is that our leaders should live by example.

There are way fuel subsidies can be structured so that they will still have a meaningful impact.

What about subsidizing fuel for tractors?
What about subsidizing school buses?
What about subsidizing trailers? carry agricultural products?
What about subsidizing fuel in rural communities to reduce rural-urban migration and promote farming?

If the government can devise means of collecting tax and limiting tax evasion, they should equally devise means of making subsidies reach the targeted people.

Don't defend the government that allocating billions for themselves but claiming Nigeria is poor
Thank you for pointing this out. Leadership is an example thing and not a dictatorial thing. Our public servants can't differentiate between kings appointed by spiritual forces and public servants appointed to serve because of capacity or skill and ability to get things done.
