Education / Re: American University Of Nigeria Vs Nigerian University Of America by SmallmebigGod: 5:10pm On May 08
beyourlandlord:
The American University of Nigeria is indeed located in Nigeria, specifically in Yola, Adamawa State. Despite its name, it's not a branch of any American university, nor is it operated or owned by the American government. Instead, it's a private university that was founded in collaboration with the American University in Washington, D.C., hence the "American" in its name.

AUN follows an American-style curriculum and emphasizes a liberal arts education. While it may have adopted some elements from American universities, it operates independently and adheres to Nigerian standards set by the National Universities Commission (NUC). It's not uncommon for universities worldwide to borrow naming conventions or educational models from other countries to reflect their educational philosophies or collaborations.

Regarding your question about a "Nigerian University of America," there is no university with that exact name in the United States. However, there are Nigerian students studying in various American universities, and there are Nigerian diaspora communities that might establish educational or cultural organizations in the U.S., but these are still not universities.

As for the debate about university titles and their significance, you're right that the name alone doesn't determine the quality of education or the reputation of an institution. It's the substance, accreditation, faculty expertise, research output, and other factors that truly define a university's standing. While names can reflect partnerships, aspirations, or educational approaches, it's essential not to judge a university solely by its title.

In essence, the American University of Nigeria is a Nigerian university with ties to American educational models and values, but it's distinct and operates within Nigerian regulatory frameworks. It's part of the diverse landscape of higher education in Nigeria, offering students an alternative educational experience with a global perspective.

The most silly I have read today..
Legal battle?
Which legal battle

The post was a response to another post talking of him loosing his "inheritance" . If he really have one why will be denied based on marriage. Of course being a son doesnt entitled him to any inheritance but if he has one portioned to him it can not be lost because of marriage

Well, he loses his inheritance. I hope he considered that too. Be like say the patriarch would comot his name from the Family's Will.

Then the family should be ready for serious legal battle. I think they are being petty.
They want to decide for a 30 year old man, we have passed that age. And I don't think his inheritance is dependent on his marital status except his father's will stated that.

The problem with you muslims is that you are quick to spray the paint, but slow to note the color.

The fellow whom you just attacked, whom you quoted, who is wiser than you and your father put together, was only trying to let you know that ACCORDING TO THE PUBLIC SERVICE RULES you cannot be a serving public servant and run ANY business. No matter the nature of the business, you are only to live by your paid income, or you FARM.

You fool

He said investment. No rule against investing. His problem is actually that amount of money. Ideally he should be made to explain how much of the 54million he contributed for the club start up and if that match his expected income.

Unfortunately after the scholarship they will claim and utilize the brain to the development of their country.

This is systematic brain drain from young age.

Very sensible comment here.

The question us what plan do we have for such Talent in Nigeria. Ideally Nigeria government should sponsor the scholarship. Also follow him up in achieving is life goals and create opportunities for him to help his country. But........

AbimbolaGCFR:

The nine year old lady at that ancient time was more pubescent and adult than a 19-year old Nigerian girl today.

If the people of the Country don't see anything wrong in Ned Nwoko getting married to Regina Daniel at that age, then it was normal and correct for Prophet Mohammed (SalallahuAlayWaSallam) to have marriage agreement with Aisha at the age of 6 and for her to pack into the Prophet's house as wife at the age of 9.

You see, the puberty and body development of Mankind in the ancient time was trice as faster than we Human beings in this 21st Century.

When Abraham (Alaysalam) saw himself putting a knife on the neck of his son Ismael (Ishmae) during the dream, the following day when he got up from the bed and narrated the dream to his son, the son who was very intelligent already knew God was telling his father to go and use him to worship him (God), because any dream that any Prophet of God has is a direct message from God. He then replied to his father that
"go and do whatever God instucts you to do."

The bottom line of the above narration is that Ishmae at that time had already become a man with full grown beard, and was also that very intelligent all at the age of 12. You see, you can't be comparing the pubescent and body development time and stage of Mankind at that ancient time with we Human beings in this 21st century. At that time Mankind used to live very long even up to 350+ years before they expire and able to endure even very tougher challenges and sufferings than we Human beings of today can bear.

According to science puberty rate have been gradually decreasing not increasing as you made it seems like. There might be a better justification though but don't say a 9 year old is biologically older in the earlier years than today's 9 year old. That will not be true.

If you think there are no discretion applied in prison duties then you should think deeply..

You are talking about form , so Bobrisky didn't write female in her form ? Her lawyers addressed her as "SHE" and that's what she identified as.....

Bobrisky has even moved from Transgender to Transexual , so what damage is she going to be towards female inmates? rather the males will harm and "deflate" her , you are talking about law..... Are there no discretion in application of law..?
telling me they will put Bobrisky with males..
Have a rethink.

He can rape the women. And he poses danger. Like I said off camera , Bob get babes.

No sensible officer will follow this your proposal/narration......there will be physical examination to know the confinement that is most appropriate, after all are they not practising lesbianism in prison..?,.. it's better if they put her in female space (with her breast, buttock, e.t.c) than male or they find a neutral place for her.., if they put her with male prisoners....it is finished...! the prison officials will have themselves to blame...and regret their actions....

Do officer use the sense first or the law. That they will place a male in female ward . So if a female look masculine they will use sense and put her in male cell . Come off it. If he fill male in his forms and his passport or other identification carried male he will be regarded as one. In US where it is legal you are placed according ly even there ... there was a report of a Trans that impregnated fellow prisoner.

Law and sense is applied. Not sense

News had it , that she has removed her dick ...I don't know if you listen to news..is not about being emotional, they will observe her and find the most appropriate cell...or at least a neutral confinement.

Well I don't follow much of such news. But form another Intel we know Bob do girls too. smiley

If you catch him off camera. You will have no doubt je is a man.

That by the side.

I'm Nigeria of today you are either a man or a woman. And no legal way of changing that. As per criteria used Bob na guy.

He may not know the right word to use. It is called sex assigned at birth. smiley

Even where they have legalized LGBT, Restrooms are still Male or Female or All gender. Prisons are still Male or female. They use the sex assigned at birth. Though LGBT will always lie or try to insist

This kind of question is tricky.
In my opinion: it is best to let him decide. Appreciate him and say anything will be fine.
Option 2. Ask him to make it cash
Option 3. He already gave an idea of what he wants to do by asking if younhave suit sonimagine something within the range of suit money . To aim high Think of range of his own type of suit smiley
