I'm not supporting the Guy, but
The Price is less than 900k if You know your Way and also depending on who You're dealing with, cos that same TMT, I still got it at 870K on Tuesday at Adoekiti, while another Popular Distributor in Adoekiti wanted to sell it at the rate of 1.2m.

Going by their conversation, offering free delivery to Warri at that price point is something to also consider.
In my world, it is a red flag....I will rather buy a little bit more expensive than risk such.

Please be cautious, everyone. There is an individual using the name "hslbroker2" who claims to deal in building materials. He advertised on this esteemed thread that he supplies rods and accepts payment upon delivery. Considering the low risk involved—as the worst-case scenario would be my engineer rejecting the goods—I engaged him to order TMT rods and binding wire. However, shortly after our interaction began, he started acting suspiciously and began soliciting money under the pretense that he was stranded and needed the funds urgently.

Sensing fraudulent intentions, I confronted him about his sketchy behavior and decided not to do business with him. His persistence became quite irritating, prompting me to block him. Anticipating that he might attempt to cover his tracks if my suspicions were correct, I had already taken screenshots of our conversation. True to my suspicions, he deleted the WhatsApp conversations shortly after being blocked.

I am posting here to warn unsuspecting members of this esteemed forum to be wary of him—he is not trustworthy. Incidents like this complicate transactions and are a disservice to those who are genuine in their dealings.

I have attached the screenshots as evidence for you all to see.

Let’s stay vigilant. Thank you!
Those prices were too good to be true. Wanted to buy a ton...went to all physical locations I know in Ibadan, cheapest I could get last week was 1m...and he was advertising less than 900k...I knew he was going to waste my time. So, my audit instinct told me not to engage.

The bolded is a serious case! some clients are so kind to understand your predicament, you can't blame others (client) who feel it doesn't make sense, it's really annoying. The vendors are the greedy ones, a stock he bought for ₦50 per unit after calculating all expenses (Transportation cost etc) he decided to sell the stock to gain profit for ₦150 per unit, you go to this vendor to buy for ₦150 on Monday, the vendor will tell you that if you come the next day, he'd sell the same stock for ₦200 because market price has increased, the same stock he bought for ₦50 ooh.

Pure Greed!!!
Not greed. It is called replacement costing strategy.
If a seller determines prices based of cost of purchase alone, such seller will be out of business in no time. It means, proceeds from sales will not be adequate to restock same item.
We are actually in an uncertain period as a country and everyone is trying to survive.
Again, it is not greed.

Was not going to wait for another 4 weeks ...so, I stumbled on this thread and got the replacement solenoid valve from OP and boom!!! AC started cooling upon swapping.
The OP's response time is commendable and went beyond his way to ensure I got the item in good time.
Only thing is that he is rigid with pricing. No discount offered at all. Dem no dey price his market.

Do you think its possible to price whole house windows per total square meters? That is, total area multiply by unit cost. If that is the case, which value do you think is feasible, the min, median or max price? Clients would say the min price (which as just wishes) while vendors would say the max price ( human nature of greed).
The truth is whatever median price obtained might not cut it.
I am actually at the window level of my build and my approach is to get the materials myself and then, I pay for labour based on estimated time to complete the job. All the people I spoke with have not taken this approach before, they had all paid for the window as a complete unit. So, I think it is worth experimenting.

Why is a wall clock (which is bigger) cheaper than a wrist watch (which is smaller) ?

Sometimes, things are not cheaper by the dozen due to:

#Sunk in cost
#production intricacies
#The amount of time spent due to the intricacies
#Unit cost
#Marginal cost

The pricing may not be arbitrary, could be as a result of the intricacies involved in the sourcing of the materials and production of smaller units.
Good insight, however, the comparison of wall clock and wrist watches might not be quite absolute. Obviously, different BOM, the engine version of wristwatches are miniatured, hence, more labour time. As I earlier mentioned, I do not expect the smaller windows to be cheaper than the larger ones, only that the 116% variance looks quite large and I STILL struggle to make sense out of it.

Think causation. Real world events are not always linear. This is why in statistics, it is made clear that correlation does not imply causation. The inability to legitimately deduce a causation and effect relationship between two events or variables solely on the basis of an observed association or correlation between them should not come as a surprise. Correlation is a relationship between two variables, when one variable changes, the other variable also changes but causation is when there is a real-world explanation for why this is logically happening; it implies a cause and effect.

Oga mi, I have done a lot of product costing in my career and I still struggle to understand this particular costing. For a simple product like this, what goes into product costing? Your BOM (direct materials), direct OH (energy cost, labour cost, machine hour RM & dep, etc) and your fixed OH. I still find it hard to make sense of the variation. So, this is not a mater of causation vs correlation. For me, I am leaning towards some arbitrariness rather than some thoughts going towards the pricing. It has to just make sense!

My observations, there is a pattern from the figures. The more surface area, the lesser price. Like most goods in the market, someone buying in bulk would always get it for less.
This is just my opinion, going by the pattern from the data presented.
You might want to rearrange the column of surface area in the table presented, in ascending or descending order to notice the consistency.

Moreover, it seems smaller windows dey waste materials. The same length of materials that would have been used to do a longer windows is cut into pieces with more off cuts, to produce those small ones.

I already mentioned your observation that I understand that there is an element of fixed cost that goes into the costing. But having a pricing variance of 116% for the same product looks "somehow" to me. It is just like you buying the big Milo 400g refill pack for N2,000 (that is N5/gram of milo) and you are asked to buy the 20g milo sachet for N216 ( that is N10.8/g of milo).
PS: I have re-arranged as you suggested and attached

I see pricing inconsistencies here. I understand some fixed cost go into making individual window. However, where we have 116% difference in prices quoted/Square metre, I suspect some arbitrary pricing (see attached analysis). I may be missing something. It will be good if we have more insight into this product pricing

This is a common problem with Corolla 2010. Bought mine with this same problem from onset as a tokunbo back in 2019. I got criticized that engine was going to get knocked in 6 months. Went on toyota forum and most people with similar problem said they have been using car like that for years without any issue. Those that attempted to fix theirs (even with Toyota dealership ooo) ended up having bigger issues.
My Corolla still runs like a dream till date. Rattling sound still comes up on every cold start.
I don't think that should be fixed if nothing is broken.

We do have fluctuations( 70-250). There were times when the stab will be making that ‘spark’ sound continuously. Sometimes, it won’t even supply the apartment because the voltage would be too high. There’s a space for earth. You’ll see the indicator somewhere in the stab.
The electrician should know better.
My electrician made a separate earth for mine. I wasn’t comfortable with that initially because I needed to break a lil space in the compound. He showed me the indicator and told me that we need to do it, if I want it to last and function properly. I’ll be getting a much bigger servo soonest.
Thanks for this. You are super correct about that annoying ticking sound anytime there is a fluctuation. Maybe non-installation of the earth is even the reason for my frequent breakdowns. I will call in another electrician to take a look at it.

Nice review. I've only used mine for about 5-6 months now and I haven't had any breakdown, yet. Mine is smaller(12kva). So, i mounted it on the wall, near the window. I hope that the surrounding is kept cool and the stab itself is properly earthen.
Is it the relay version you have or the servo?
Since it is a rented apartment, I opted for the one I can place on the floor. Unless I am left with no choice, I detest breaking the wall of a building. Surrounding is cool, with some ventilation available. I don't know about the earthen ooo....I just called a street electrician to install when I bought back in April 2019. How do I check if it was earthen?

Edit:
I just saw you bought the relay version. You probably have only low voltage without fluctuations. Trust me, if you have fluctuations, it is a matter of time for you to have a first breakdown. I hope I am wrong sha.

Thanks for the response. I’m in Alaaka area.

With l the frequent breakdowns is it still worth the investment?

Thanks.
I currently have a build around idi ope axis. Quite close to Alaaka-Mogana axis...

Like I said, mine is the relay version. I have been using for over 2 years now and I have had a total of 3 breakdowns. The first two were covered by warranty. I only paid 25k for the last repair. The main problem is getting the damn thing to Prag service centre, Obanikoro in Lagos and back to Ibadan.
On my visits there, all the service techs I met mentioned the same thing, that if I had bought the servo version, I would not have had those breakdowns. They mentioned that since I don't only have low voltage but also have fluctuations of voltage, the relay version will not handle well. I have not used the servo version, so, not sure of its durability.
Lastly, I do not really have a choice than to have a central stabilizer. Nothing works with those terribly low voltage. Without the device, I had to use my big generator for pumping water, microwave, washing machine...etc
For me, it is a worthy investment because I would have burnt more fuel on those activities I mentioned. So, it depends on you, if you are dependent on mainstream appliances. But if you have a solar pump for instance, your calculations will be different to mine!

Question for the electrical gurus. I have NEPA light that’s adequately rationed in my area. The issue I have is low voltage, I get served around 80 to 110 volts.

Will the attached solve this situation? Any direct experience on this specific device?

Thanks.
I stay around Elebu and has the same issue. I currently have the 15kva relay version installed centrally and it works. But with frequent breakdowns....ensure you get the servo version to get a smooth experience.

In as much it is a good one to move across companies, at some point in your career, you have to stay a bit long on a job. Else, you are seen as "not reliable" by potential employers. You will tend not to be trusted with sensitive positions which require stability. No company wants to hire a finance director or project director every year!
