You mean the ones sold on Jumia are fake yh? Saw so many negative reviews

Lol. Jumia is something else entirely. 8 in 10 items are fakes/cheap imitation of the original. You may think you are getting the original...till it arrives at your doorstep.
You would be damn lucky to get the original except if you have had dealings with the seller before.

This bolded part made me laugh like you were dreaming.
Thanks for the insight. Anyway to know the one being sold at slot is original?

I thought so too. Took a photo to that effect just incase "I wake up".
I loved how sturdy the cable was. Its easily viewed from the pic below.
This is another reason why I also loved the AKGs.
Quality sound with sturdy/braided cable. A win-win if you ask me.
I hate when a cable twists up so much and starts breaking thereby exposing the fragile wires it encases. Some become sticky after some weeks of use.

Back to your question, seriously I have no foolproof method because this is Nigeria. Anyone can substitute the fake with the original and repackage it. Heck, the worker there was using Samsung U-level or whatsitcalled. Dunno if he was testing it or he bought it. Not my business at that moment.
I think the best bet is to have a good look at the original from S8, S9 etc before you commit yourself. Or better yet, locate an Official Samsung Repair Shop. They should have them in stock.

Those AKGs can't be original, they cost way more. I just checked Amazon to get user reviews of AKGs priced around $10, and was not surprised about the many negative reviews, many claim it's fake.

Was expecting same but my colleague had a bundled AKG with her S9 and they sounded exactly alike. Couldn't tell a difference in a blind test.
Some sellers trade theirs for 4k. Highest I've come across is 7k (and that was with a pouch/carrying case which mine didn't come with). Well, I may have been as lucky as year I came across a follow come Sony EX300AP that comes with Z1 phones then. Couldn't believe my luck!

I'll know if its my lucky day again if I come across Sony MDR-EX650AP
or Sony MDR-7550/800ST cheesy cheesy

I've got the AKGs and I'm quite impressed by the sound output. I had to get thmlem because no one was stocking UiiSiis and Rocks. I wonder how the Rock would sound.

I have heard the UiiSii HM7 and yeah, they sound perfect. Bass has definition. You feel the sublevels especially when you cycle through queued music. Also, the bass note seems to be unique to each music, and not the same throughout the playlist. The mids, highs etc are also unique to each song giving each their own characteristics. And all can be heard without Viper4android doing its thing in the background.

Unfortunately, it wasn't mine so I had to sadly return it to the owner.

I am wondering why Protein0 and co aren't stocking those. Maybe 5 or 10 pieces depending on demand. Anyways, I'll be using my AKGs till then.

EDIT: Slot sells original AKGs but without the pouches it normally comes with. Got mine for 3k...after wasting some cash on Jumia.

I think most time this thing has to do with location, from my experienced, any time Glo network started slow, I just go to another area, & it will be very fast there

Agreed but it goes to show how unreliable it can be. It also shows that they don't really have a wide coverage as they claim to have.

Anyways, it is a common knowledge that Glo is the last network to bank on for reliable data.

I got same surprise when I recharge 100 naira on one of my MTN lines (abandoned it for a while too).
I get 15000mb and some on the extra data too, it lasts for 15days and I've gotten it twice now after recharging at least 15days after the last one.
The line is on ipulse.
Please note that the data doesn't last, it will disappear before your eyes.

The bolded is very important. She is very right.
Phones / Re: Beware! Glo Network Can Kill Your Online Business! by Xionez(m): 9:32pm On Feb 27, 2019
Lol. Any business starter should know that he/she has to skip Glo for data. Ignore the huge data/price ratio you get, its like getting 12Gigs of data to be used on EDGE network. Its pointless.

In the course of my work, I've been presented with pages upon pages of documented complaints regarding Glo network, some conversations are one-sided with late or no feedback from Glo assigned agents, some agents would reply and outrightly claim it is not from their end. Most subscribers just give up and rents/buys another equipment from another data provider, and happily begin to get better service from the new data source.
All this issues date to as far back as 2006. Reading through them would convey the sense of frustration on the part of subscriber. It came to a point that I had to start asking "What network?" so that I would have a sense of what I am up against.
It was and still is that bad.

This is 2019. Consumers want fast and precise transactions. For a starter, nobody has time to hear excuses that can be remedied by porting to another network. Nobody wants to hear that the reason why you cannot render a service is because your network is bad. It would convey a sense of "unseriousness". There are better competitors that they can contact swiftly and get their products/service without delay...even before an image finishes loading using Glo service.

There are a lot of other choices available. They might not have large data/price ratio, but they would save you the countless customers you might lose because you are on Glo data. If you would like to still stick with Glo, just get your backup ready for their eventual fvckup.

My own cents.

Glo is the most useless thing ever ever existed in network. Can't they just simply fold up and pack instead of making us suffer. They can spend billions on commercial ads but can't improve their data delivery, very excruciatingly slow. I don't get it.

Even I is still confused on how someone would be using browsing at less than 100KB/s on a perfect 3.5G signal. I just can't comprehend it.
Recently, out of the curiosity, I used it to test run Skype before a scheduled video call...and was grateful I still had enough time to slot in my spotty but trusty Airtel. The network bars wasn't full but still worth something. Making video calls at 600+KB/s was like watching film.

Glo users often have an additional SIM from another network. Its in their constitution.

Apple has been playing catch up for years now but this device would have been more than $2500 if it were Apple

So so true. The only thing that was recently innovative enough was the Face ID. Others were just an improvement on an already existing tech. So will be foldable displays.
Though, I see them using the whole front screen and not the big black space seen on the Samsung Fold device.

It could be Intel or AMD, whichever works. The laptop is modular with lots of different version, but same motherboard. I want to revive my old system.

Sadly, there is no way to verify Battery life since the graphical representation has been removed. Thus, someone can charge his/her phone to 98% and unplug from the charger so that it wouldn't register as "Full Charge" and still post longer Screen On Time

" ...No user actions which would have consumed airtime or data were performed. After 24 hours, the airtime balances were checked again – with surprising results:
Vodacom – R12.00
MTN – R6.00
Telkom – R25.00
Cell C – R10.00..."

“This type of fraud is prevalent on smartphone, where a user may mistakenly click on a banner that is linked to a bot which mimics the behaviour of the customer and approves the opt-in and double opt in requests without the customer knowing,” said MTN.

MTN has always been a shady network famously known for its bad business practices.
Just look at the incomprehensible lie they released to the press!

So the phone started pressing itself, abi?!
