Politics / Re: 120 Boko-Haram Members Arrested During Burial Of Their Commander by ZUBY77(m): 10:07pm On May 20
The Nigerian Police, The Nigerian
Army, and the
Secret Service are all trying to prove
that they are
the best at Catching criminals.
The President decides to give them a test. He
releases a rabbit into a forest and
each of them
has to catch it. The SSS goes in. They
place animal informants throughout
the forest. They question all plant and mineral witnesses.
After three
months of extensive investigations
they
conclude that rabbits do not exist.
The ARMY goes in. After two weeks with no
leads they burn the forest, killing
everything in it,
including the rabbit, and they make
no
apologies. The rabbit had it coming. The POLICE goes in. They come out
two hours
later with a badly beaten ANTELOPE.
The
ANTELOPE is yelling: "Okay! Okay!
I'm a rabbit! I'm a rabbit!

Phones / Nokia Lumia 520 Vs Tecno N7 by ZUBY77(m): 4:38pm On May 20
One is android and the other is windows phone.
Given the fact that android is envogue now, is it better to chose N7 over Lumia 520.
The prices are relatively the same.
But Nokia is Nokia while N7 boasts of dual sim and bigger screen.

What is your take?
Car Talk / Re: Nigerian Develops Brake Pads With Palm-Kernel Shells by ZUBY77(m): 2:45pm On May 20
konn: the minister should remove the brake pad in his vehicle and replace it with the one made with palm kernel shells to test run this will go a long way in convincing people to buy it

Apparently it was manufactured for poor people while the rich people buys their own from Germany and Japan..

The name of my car is BMW. Before i buy any breakpad, i will check the base to make sure i see BMW written on it.
Education / Re: 2 Killed At OOU Student Protest by ZUBY77(m): 2:30pm On May 20
The organizers of the protest are not prudent. Nigeria is in a very delicate security situation now. The Soldiers and Police are being killed in large quantities all over the Country.. Katsina, Adamawa, Ombatse, Bayelsa, East and West. They are angry and will not hesitate to show that anger with every little provocation.
Students dont also hold anything near peaceful protest. Here in Nigeria, a larger percentage of students believe they are untouchable especially when they belong to all this petty cults.
I was coming back from Abakiliki to Enugu sometime last year and the students of EBSU blocked the single road to Enugu. I spent over 4 hours inside the car while the army negotiated with them. They broke bottles, pushed sign posts down, harrased passengers and every other thing.
They should not expect kid gloves all the time.

This is a bad time to provoke security operatives

Politics / Re: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by ZUBY77(m): 1:36pm On May 19
Wole Soyinka is simply Jealous.
Hear me out first. We live on Earth where a lot of fields are generalized. Almost everything anyway.

Every year Fifa selects the best 11 players of the season from each position but FIFA still gives one person the BEST PLAYER FOR THE YEAR.

We understand that Soyinka is trying to differentiate between fiction and reality here but they are all part of literature.
Achebe wrote a book '' things fall apart'' and it became a hit. Although it was fiction but it represents what was happening between colonial white and Africans then.

So If foreign media and co said that ACHEBE is the father, then he is the father.

Some of you Yorubas should leave sentiments behind sometimes and face the fact.

Politics / Re: IGBOS: Why PDP Will Never Nominate An Igbo Man For President by ZUBY77(m): 8:18pm On May 18
Goodluck Ebele Azkiwe Johna is more Igbo than Hausa or Yoruba. We have three major tribes in Nigeria. The minorities can easily identify with any of the three above.. If Jonathan is to chose from three of them, guess where he will go..
I saw him in Enugu today. Smiling and shaking hands with people includng moi. The last time he went to Maidugry, he went with 5000 policemen. The last tme he went to lagos, he traveled with 2000 sec agents.
Today in Enugu, the policemen were without guns and were just putting people in order.

Hey can you tell where he come from now?
I am from Enugu but i will vote GEJ over Rochas anyday

No more flying 6 hours from Europe to Lagos only to drive 8 hours from Lagos to Enugu. God bless you GEJ.
For this alone, i will campaign for you from now to 2015. You will win again.
I am sure Tinubu, Buhari and co never heard of Akanu Ibiam Enugu.

Check out good things about Enugu state. There was no media hype about this visit. No signs anywhere in Enugu. No hastening of contracts, no stopping of market traders from doing their businesses.. NO NOISE.
He will come, commission his things, wine and dine etc and return home..

I remember when he visited Anambra last august. The advert and publicity started in august of the previous year. Markets were closed. Two million police and army in the streets. everything stood still just to commission a beer factory...

The environment of enugu metropolis is so serene that there will be no need to change anything..
We love Enugu, we love Gej and we love Nigeria without three NE states.

Water has been running in Achara Layout since last year. My younger sister and the hubby lives in Etudo street Achara layout. There is a tap in front of their house that dispenses water every time.. If you drve down the same street , you will see many more taps..

I guess the whole of the Layout has not been completed.

I also drove past the new secretariat on Monday on my way from CPS to Onitsha via New market.. Hundreds of men working there daily. I noticed that too.. Weldone to the state govt.

Politics / ACN Should Have Merged With PDP. by ZUBY77(m): 11:31am On May 16
I was having a chat with the Chairman of PDP in Enugu state last time and he told me how they approached Tinubu for an alliance with PDP. He said that they tabled how things were going to work out in the new alliance and that they were advised by a Yoruba PDP giant to do so.
Tinubu promised them to look into it only to merge with Northern CPC. His reasons was that ACN and CPC can compete against each other on equal terms while PDP is a bigger party and would take the lion share.

What do you think would have happened if PDP and ACN merged..
My guess will be the END OF NORTHERN NIGERIAN AND CPC.

AnanseK: And where exactly can I find this Eastern Nigeria on the map?

I would just advise the South-South to be careful.

The SS and SE governors had a meeting in Asaba yesterday, where they asked Uncle Jona to do whatever it takes to deal with boko Haram.

I am just wondering why they didnt invite their fellow neighbours from SW since its the meetings of the Southern Nigeria. Saboteurs, your times are coming to an end

dayokanu: OP

Why not separate the Oil producing SS from SE and lets see what the budget of the SE alone is

Why this attache by force by the SE?

is this an extension of the parasite mentality?

The topic said Eastern Nigerian. There is nothing called SS or SE in Nigeria.tell me another country in the world that has that kind of setup or formation. They first divided us into many states to create enmity among us and to separate us but we know who we are. It is a devilish plan by puppets to make sure Eastern Nigeria/Biafra never exist again.. But hey, we know our map down here in the east and i am sure Awolowo hid his copy of our orignal map somewhere in Ibadan too.

We just need your Lagos to make enough money for our country. We will leave Lagos when the time is right.. When the high rises begin to fall down due to lack of maintenace. When the ocean will rise from the shore of Lekki to swallow back its lands.. Then we will match back home through Ore and Owo forests back to Onitsha, Enugu, Aba, Calabar, Yenegoa and Pitakwa where we come from.

Politics / Re: Speech Of Muhammad Buhari At The Party’s National Convention In Abja, may 11,2013 by ZUBY77(m): 7:21am On May 12
This speech reminded me of his inaugural
speech when the democratically elected
government of President Shagari was
removed by the Military of which General
Buhari is the number one beneficiary as a
Head of State. This is where religions and ethnicity started in Nigeria polity. 2) The region that sophisticated arms and
ammunition are the order of the day that
had him once as their former Military
Administrator of the State. Education
down to the grassroot was not encouraged
and the end product of what the People now is "western education is sin" aka
Boko haram. While former leaders like late
Pa Awolowo and Ogbemudia etc made
sure that education is a key to freedom
was seriously taken into practice in their
respective zones and state. Is he blaming others for not being able to read the
future? 3) On security; He was a Military Head Of
State that promised Nigerians adequate
security, but failed to protect himself as
HOS and was removed from Dodan
barracks by Gen IBB and late Gen Abacha
without a single bullet wasted. Is this the same General Buhari that is promising
Nigerians of security or it's just a political
statement to deceive Nigerians? Would it not be proper to use Nasarawa
state as a case study to show Nigerians
the meaning of good governance,
development, anti-corruption and
adequate security been a state with a CPC
Governor as Gov Fashola of ACN helped to boast his party than what Sen Ahmed
Tinubu could not do? Ousting PDP from power is rather selfish
and a clear sign of desperation to fulfill an
ambition so far failed as all the opposition
parties in their respective states are yet to
show Nigerians what the true meaning of
good governance is at their state level, so how can they offer what they have not
yet practice at the centre? What manner of
miracle will that be? It's political deceit! America has long forgotten about their
post-elections challenges and focusing on
National growth for the general good of all
it's citizens, but in Nigeria, it is political
meetings and distractions from 1999 to
2019 simply because an individual was not allowed to rule again and he still has the
guts to talk about insecurity and lack of
development in some section of the
country: is that what Elder statesmen do in
other developed country? How can you condemn a party with
22million votes and celebrate your own
12million votes that was conducted by the
same authority at the same date? Speaking with both sides of the mouth is a
system of politics that Nigerians should be
afraid of. A system that if it doesn't favor
you, then it must be condemned is wrong
and should not be encouraged eg Edo
Guber polls where Gov Adam passed a vote of no confidence on INEC, but when the
result came out in his favor, he gladly
accepted the process as credible. What a
propaganda it was. The time to put all hands on deck for a
better Nigeria has started ever since and
no one man or woman can achieve it
without the support of other like-minds
and the opposition today is a marriage of
strange bedfellows just against PDP and not for the general good of good
governance across Nigeria.

Trust me its a wonderful office to visit with one thousand blinking lights...

Another thing is beer or wine. Have never been turned down a request for beer by any attendant except on Afriqqya airways from Tripoli to Lagos.. I never expected it from that Jihad airline anyway. They dont even sell liquor at the airport in Tripoli.
