- Selected Isuofia Roads
- Ifite Ogwari Road
- Savinovo-Umuofor-Bright Street/Nkpor-Umuhu - Ubahuezike Road
- Nnokwa-Adazi Enu-Akwaeze Road

Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has awarded more competitively bidded contracts to construct two new roads and reconstruct three (3) dilapidated ones in the State.

The first is the Achina-Onneh-Ogboji road with a total length of 7.80 kilmetres and width of 7.3 meters. The work will be done by IDC Construction Company Ltd at the cost of N4,950,000,000.00 and would be completed within 12 months from the date of mobilization.

Selected Isuofia roads were awarded to Stefanutti Stocks Hapel Ltd at the cost of N5,310,000,000.00. The roads' length which total 9.842 kilometres with an average width of 7.3 meters will be completed in 12 months.

The reconstruction of Ifite-Ogwari road with spur of Ifite-Ogwari was awarded to New Idea Construction Ltd at the cost of N600,790,178.28. The job will be finished within 4 months from the mobilization date.

On the other hand, Savinovo-Umuofor-Bright Street/Nkpor-Umuhu-Ubahuezike road was split between two contractors for speedy completion of the construction work. Rojel Nigeria Ltd got 4.03 kilometres of the road while Hammakopp Consortium Ltd got 4.26 kilometres and the road has an average width of 7.3 meters. Rojel will complete its own part of the job in 6 months at the cost of N1,540,512,551.80 while Hammakopp will complete its own at the cost of N1,719,472,617.91 in 4 months.

ANSEC also revalidated the construction works on Nnokwa-Adazi Enu-Akwaeze road at the revised cost of N2,900,654,846.00. The contract was awarded to Benejaf International Ltd and is expected to be completed within 12 months.

All the contractors will be paid 30% of the contract sum as material advance, backed by an advance payment guarantee from a reputable bank with a branch in Anambra State.

I am from enugu state but u will like to fly into enugu state through ebonyi airport. This is because enugu airport is useless, worthless and unsafe. For international travels I would want to fly into Nigeria through Anambra international airport which is the best and busiest airport in igboland.

All the SE governors should contribute funds and build speed rail lines linking all the SE states to the Anambra International airport so that all the SE states will have easy access to international travels through the airport.

Anambra international airport has given SE region the access to the world because it has the longest runway in Nigeria aside MMIA. Flights can land via ends of the runway and it has Internet landing systems.

I wish the airport a huge success and pray that federal politics will not scuttle the success of the airport. Another factor that will enhance the airport is RAIL LINK connecting all SOUTH EASTERN STATES so that we can travel with ease to our various states when we land at Abakaliki. South East governors may not have to wait for the federal government but go ahead with the joint South East rail project and get reimbursement in future if it will happen.
Regarding the signature multicolours Umahi projects, it is part of a statement. In some tourist destinations, all houses are painted white. If the multicolours go out of fashion, they are easy to change by only replacing those colourful coverings with any desired colour. It is just a weeks job.

Nigerian actress, Rahama Sadau, has distanced herself from the Tinubu/Shettima Women Presidential Campaign Team.

The actress' name was listed in the Creative and Entertainment Category of the team alongside other Nollywood actors.

In a disclaimer on her Twitter handle, Sadau stated that she has no idea how her name ended up on the list.

The actress said that she is not associated with the campaign saying, “This is a big fat lie. I am not aware of this. I don’t know how my name made it to this list, not in any way associated with this.”

The team list which was released on Saturday contained names of 944 women and wives of prominent APC politicians, including First Lady Aisha Buhari, Remi Tinubu, Nana Shettima, and others.

Barely one week after releasing his presidential campaign council list, Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has come under heavy fire from the leadership and national working committee of the party.

In a strongly worded letter written and signed by the National Chairman of APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, to Tinubu who is still having a vacation in London, the party accused him of arrogantly ignoring their contribution to the composition of his Presidential Campaign Council.

Tinubu had on Friday unveiled a 422-man committee comprising political heavyweights and other notable members to pilot the various sub-committees of the campaign council.

The list of members released by Secretary of the Presidential Campaign Council, James Faleke, in Abuja, followed a series of postponements and conjectures about those who would be saddled with the task of leading the ruling party’s bid to retain power at the federal level.
