Udenu as a whole must not pay for the sins of Ugwuanyi. I feel really pained based on the fact that Ugwuanyi wasted 8years of the time given to the people of Enugu North senatorial district.

Ugwuanyi was a house of representation member for 12year, about to complete his tenure as a govenor for 8years and aspiring to be a senator again without any tangible achievement. The people of Enugu North senatorial district should do the needful by rejecting him totally.

While he was governor,his nephew was commissioner,then moved to become the local government chairman of Udenu. He didn't stop at making him the local government chairman,today the same guy is going to house of Assembly.

Enugu State is in the hands of bloggers and photographers. Ugwuanyi rediculed all the giant strides of gov Chime. History won't be kind to Ugwuanyi,as we speak Enugu is one of the dirtiest state's in the East,bad road's everywhere.

Also I wonder why Nwakaibeya's past is shrouded in secrecy. No one knows what he does for a living. I have friends who are his supporters and all 4 of them don't know how he made his money. The only thing they say is that he's close to Uzodinma.

Frank is a nice guy but coming from Nkanu that has led the state before is a no from me. Isi Uzo that is in the same zone with them has been sidelined for too long so I am hoping Edeoga will carry the day. I see him as a strong fighter.

Loyalists of the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, yesterday, expressed displeasure over the presence of former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo at the London meeting Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and his allies had with presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi, despite being reportedly committed to their cause.

In a related development, the Obi-Datti Media Office, yesterday, dismissed as jaundiced, remarks made by Mr. Dele Alake, a spokesman of the APC presidential candidate, to the effect that Peter Obi had nothing to show for his eight years as governor of Anambra State.

This came on a day Governor Wike said he will disclose his preferred presidential candidate, ahead of the 2023 elections soon.

It will be recalled that Governor Wike and his allies met with Obasanjo and Obi on the need to form an alliance ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Similarly, Tinubu and some of his allies had met with the former President at his Ota residence to seek Obasanjo’s blessing and support, last week.

However, Obasanjo denied reports that he endorsed Tinubu during the visit of the APC presidential candidate.

His Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, refuted statements from supporters of Tinubu, clarifying that the discussion during the visit was “more brotherly than political.”

Chief Obasanjo’s aide further said the former President had neither agreed nor disapproved of Tinubu’s ‘request.

A source familiar with the London meetings told Vanguard that the Tinubu camp is not happy that Obasanjo was at the parley Wike had with Obi in London.

It was further gathered that Obasanjo’s presence at the meeting was at the instance of Obi.

The source said: “First, it was the Wike camp that leaked the London meeting with Obasanjo and Obi, and secondly, it was because of Peter Obi that Obasanjo was present at the meeting with the Wike camp.

“The Wike camp did not want the story leaked by someone else and that informed their decision to leak the story and picture that they met with Obasanjo and Obi.

“Obasanjo was at the London meeting at the instance of Obi. The Wike camp wanted to meet Peter Obi but Obi requested that Obasanjo should be present before the meeting could hold.

“The Tinubu people were not happy that Baba (Obasanjo) was there (London) because they felt Baba had committed himself when they met with him in Ota. They felt Baba was already committed to them (Tinubu’s camp) and so when he (Obasanjo) met with Wike, alongside Obi, the Tinubu camp was not happy that he was part of the London meeting with Wike and Obi.”

I am only here to promote Aba. If you are from Aba as you claim you should not expect me who is from Rivers to do this work for you. You should be doing it yourself. No state in Nigeria has 100% good roads. The one you have, to use it to attract investors and not scare them away with the few bad roads in Aba city. The place with good roads in Aba is good enough for investments to come into Aba.

So advise yourself otherwise.

Whatever Ikpeazu managed to do in Aba, anyone could have done better.

While campaigning, he promised to make Aba an industrial haven, make the markets modern international markets. What has he done to fulfill those empty promises he made?

Ariaria international market remains a mess and highly disorganized place.

Someone like Ikpeazu is only fit for a Barman or hotel manager role.

Is Wike owing Civil Servant like Ikpeazu currently does? Coming first in Nigeria as the most workers unfriendly governor, owing the highest number of arrears and in many cases adjudicating the State responsibility to pay civil servants.

You just mentioned a few roads he built, roads that LG chairmen should build if the system was working as intended and you are praising him.

Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has proven that education and poverty is not enough to make a politician a good leader.

He holds a PhD in industrial chemistry, how many industries did he resuscitate or even attract to Abia State? He was a pauper about a decade ago and only smelt money as governor, proceeds of looting state funds.

There's no reason whatsoever to rank the Abia State glutton among responsible governors. At his age, he is a shame to the intellectual community.

Those saying the man is the worst governor in Nigeria are either ignorant of where Ab was before the man came in or might not have visited Aba recently. Granted, He may not have fixed everywhere in Aba, but nobody can come here and say he is the worst Governor in Nigeria when states like Ekiti, Ogun, Osun, etc. haven't done as much as he has done in a densely populated and Urbanized. And nobody can also dare say that he is the worst Governor Abia have.

He may not be the best in SE, but he is definitely not the Worst in Nigeria(even in the South) nor the worst in Abia. I don't like him either that much as I love Umahi. But I can't in all sincerity say he is the worst in Abia or Nigeria.

For Start, before Ikpeazu came in, all the roads in Aba were either muddy or not motorable, I mean ALL!. No good roads were in ABa. It was as bad as that. Ikpeazu in his first tenure did a lot of road construction. Today, some roads like Port Harcourt Road and Ngwa Road all in Aba is now wearing a new look. These are roads that people used to mock Aba before if they want to share bad and disgusting roads in Aba. Today the story is different as those roads are advancing completion and the governor has said that they wll be completed before leaving office.

I am from Rivers State, but my mum is from Aba, so I know what I am saying.

I am not here to praise him, but I am here to state fact!

I detested going to Aba because of this junction. I once dipped my fine white canvas into the mud in Osisioma Junction when I visited my cousin at Tonimas junction. It was horible. Even the place where my cousin lived I knew what I passed through when I visited them in 2015. I did a jumping marathon to get to their house. Now the road is tared and marked. The road is opposite Tonimas Junction, Beside Becuz Fast food.

So my dear, Ipkeazu might not have fixed the whole of Aba in 8 years, but truth be told, he has changed so many roads and the face of Aba today.

One of the major things I'll give Ikpeazu Kudos for is the 30 years plan he did for Abia and the Enyimba Economic City. My prayer is that the new Governor do better than him and focus more on building a better Abia.

Ikpeazu might not be the best, but he performed better than the current governors in Ekiti, Osun, Ondo, and most northern states (except Kano, Kaduna and Borno).

By what you say I can bet you have not spent a day in Enugu. I have stayed in These areas as mentioned by you. This places are the ghettos or “ogbes” that we have in Enugu. I have stayed in Emene, I have stayed in coal camp, bunker, ngenevu, ogui , uwani. This is where the poorest people stay in Enugu. These places records the highest crime rate in Enugu. Coal camp isn’t even supposed to be a residential area because it was temporary apartment built to house coal workers during the colonial era. Likewise most of the houses in Ogui or Asiata they were built by colonial masters as staff quarters.
You can’t sit somewhere in Lagos and be talking about Enugu State. Go there yourself and do your findings.
