The name on my passport is the right order and the one on my UG cert and transcript is in the wrong order.
If order is the only challenge, then you don't need to worry your head over that. You may only need an affidavit in the case of a typo error.

Hi everybody. Am new here and was directed to this thread by a few friends. So im having my interview coming up on 10th December. Would it be an issue having my uncle as my sponsor (he genuienly is). And also I'd appreciate someone helping me out with mock interviews. Thanks so much guys
It is not out of place to have your uncle as your specific sponsor. However, you need to explain why he would be willing to do so.
You may not easily get an offer for mock interview. Your best route is to post your proposed Questions and Answers for inputs and criticisms.

Do you advise that I go to Abuja for my next interview?. I see you were approved at Abuja embassy after your previous denial.
I believe location plays little to no role for visa approval/denial. If you're prepared and it's your time, Abuja/Lagos will not stop you.

Gurus in the house. I will be going to Abuja for my next interview. 100kobo, lagosismyhome, walspring. Please help me scrutinize my proposed transcript

Good morning
Vo: Where are you going?
I am going to the the university of south Florida to study for my masters degree in Electrical Engineering

Vo: How do you know about this university?
I read one of prof don morel's research paper which was granted patent in 2011 in the field of photovoltaic solar energy system and I contacted the prof to show my interest in this field. He advised that I should apply officially to this university.

Vo: tell me about this invention/research paper.
It is a method of manufacturing solar cell with Copper- indium-gallium-selenide semiconductor which is of low cost and high Efficiency compared to solar cells made of poly-Crystalline Silicon.

Vo: You have been previously refused visa, why were you denied?
The letter states that I don't have enough ties to my home country because I couldn't Convince the Visa Officer of my true intent which I believe was due to my timidity being my first time applying for a ViSa.

Vo: so tell me your true intent of studying in America
I want to study and research on Photovoltaic solar system for my masters degree which would help me with my career goal of transforming and improving my dads company by introducing solar energy system as a main source of power in Nigeria just as NEXTERA energy company in the US generate about 930MW of Power in Florida through solar cells. This would directly contribute to the Nigeria power sector.

Vo: What type of company does your dad own?
Its an electrical contracting company. We deal with Electrical installation of Cabling and associated devices such as switches, distribution boards, sockets and light fittings in a structure.

Vo: Tell me about your educational background
I graduated in 2016 from the federal Polytechnic... with a distinction as one of the best student in the department of electrical engineering.

Vo: what have you been doing since you graduated?
I went for NYSC in 2016. I served as a graduate teaching assistant at Kwara state college of education which I completed in 2017 and I have been working in dads company as a technical supervisor leading teams of skilled technicians to carry out installation and repair.

Vo: How many universities u applied to?
I applied to 6universites and I got admitted in all

Vo: why this University?
Because I want to be involved in an innovative research. I will be learning from faculties known for inventions and will be researching under an inventor, Prof. Don Morel. The university is ranked amongst the only 25 best universities for technology transfer in the US. It's also ranked 12th for generating US patent in the World.

Who's your sponsor?
I secured a loan from prodigy finance which my dad will be responsible for while my Aunt will be supporting me. He will be paying $500 to prodigy finance monthly while I'm in school.

Please help me scrutinize my points if they are convincing enough. I want to know other likely questions. Thanks
This is so far so good. But I'll advise you envisage and prepare for more questions. I know you heed my advice to study approved interview compilations. You need to read some more to get an idea of likely questions. Over all, I'm impressed with this and pray favour to come your way in your next outing.

One more thing, I hope your Dad's statement covers your living expenses with a little balance? This is one area you also need to look into.

Good morning house,
I am a newbie on this thread. I’m trying to apply for fall 2019 can I be able to get admission into some schools in California Without Toefl,if so please name the institution for me. Can i get admission if my waec result is D7 in English and good grade in other subjects.
Please I need someone to enlighten me on how to go about it thanks
Why California? Why not any other state? Why not Canada/Australia? Why not Nigeria. You need to demonstrate first, your intentions to study abroad. If you're unable, then you're not a genuine student.

This is the point I was actually driving the conversation to. That I want to come back to Nigeria to take over and improve my Dads company by introducing solar energy system which is not going to be an alternative power supply but as the main source of power just like Nextera Energy company in the US. They generate about 930 MW of power through Solar Energy
Bro, you're loaded. Just do as I said. Prepare a laconic response that capture as many points as possible. If you're waiting for a time to attack, it may never come. So utilise any chance you get effectively.

Note: Observe my use of the word 'laconic'. I have not asked you to go verbose.

You may need to present your proposed transcript for vetting.

So I will be paying for another appointment tomorrow. I really need your advice. What do I need to do apart from being relaxed when I'm being interviewed. Is there any of my response that knocked me off or any of which I need to work on. Please I need some encouragement to ease my apprehension... Lol
Learn to string your responses together. This is not to suggest that you should go there to regurgitate very long grammar. Your points are okay. Learn to kill a bird with two stones and to master this, you need to study some Approved Transcripts to understand their build up responses.

A LITTLE INTERVIEW TIPS FOR HOPEFULS

Interview is not all about grandiloquent grammars. A student with average grammar who presents very compelling points would be approved. Interview is not a GST exam.

Again, it is normal to stutter, it's an indication that you're human after all and not robot. Therefore, do not be afraid to stutter for a moment, but be consistent, determined and maintain proper eye contact.

Lastly, practise your answers before going there. Familiarise with your responses so that you don't have to think on your feet when faced with the VO. I am only saying this last part because a vast majority of applicants do not understand why this class of visa exist. Interview is supposed to be conversational. A genuine student does not need to think too hard to give responses as it is supposed to be a genuine conversation.

Until these recent times, this class of visa posed less hassle to acquire. How the narration has changed still baffles me. The system has been so abused. Applicants now fly without perching and now VOs are learning to shoot without missing.

Wretch32:
Why not just say you work at xxxxxx company instead of saying specifically that you work in your fathers company?
It’s unnecessary and throws a little doubt
I don't entirely agree. Father's company could serve as a good home tie since their line of business is in tandem with his intended course of study. A very good response to "What will this degree do for you/Why this Course/Why this MSC" would now yield an answer that suggest his intentions to transform and upgrade the company upon his return. It is not enough mentioning 'transformation'. He may need to go to specifics by listing some of those functionalities he would desire to change. He could then go on to highlight a little more on his career goals (without waiting to be prodded).

Thing is, people fail to exploit opportunities to their advantage.

Please can you explain more on how his answers were reactive? So that we can learn how to deliver responses properly without sounding forced to deliver facts. Thanks sir
Consider these two cases

Case 1
Q: Who are you
A: I am Seth Sani, a graduate of BABCOCK University.

Case 2
Q: Who are you
A: I am Ben

Q: What is your surname
A: Ayeni

Q: Are you a graduate
A: Yes I graduated from CLIFFORD University.
-------------

Does these cases say anything to you?

While the one was direct, the other waited to be prodded. It will be natural for the interviewer to lose interest after the third question. Another interviewer, may have elected to ignore. But who do you blame when there are tons of other candidates on the waiting queue.

Visa Delayed. A White Man (Not sure he's an American but not Black) Window 4, Lagos Embassy

Am sorry, you have been found ineligible for this Visa. This blue paper would tell you why

Please help me as I will be reapplying soon.
You seem to be a genuine student, but let me observe that your responses lacked 'live'. You were too reactive; almost being forced to deliver your facts. Next time, take the interview to the VO. You can be in the driver seat and determine the next question they'll ask. Many still need to master the art of public speaking.

The VO was simply uninspired with your responses. To put it technically, you were unable to convince the VO on why you should be approved. I'll advice you read more Success Transcripts to have a clue on how to give comprehensive and composite responses.

Cheer up!

The wife go bank early in the morning? Something is fishy.
And how could security guards be in 'deep' sleep after opening the gate to madam and the fleeing cook. The whole story is incoherent.

The wife, not the cook, is my primary suspect. She hurried out that morning and had to call him midway as an alibi to prove she was away from the crime scene and only met it. It is possible that the cook fled for safety, ditto the new security guard.

VO; he typed for a while and the said “ congratulations, I would be approving your visa..I hope you enjoy your stay at the University of Massachusetts”

My passport was ready for pick the next day but I picked it up yesterday.

It was a very humbling experience for me and in all I give thanks to God almighty... I am also grateful to everyone here on this platform. You guys are doing a great job. God bless you all. Shalom
Congratulations Doctor and more blessings. Ensure to represent yourself and country well.

Please how much should a reasonable bank statement have altogether. Do they also look at how busy the account has been i.e deposits and credits even though the balance isn't really much. playback answer oooh. Thanks my ppl
Your balances should cover the figures in your i-20 with a little overage.
An inactive account ("less busy" account) that suddenly bears a lump sum is sure to raise a red flag. It will be common sense to deny such candidate on grounds of sponsorship.

Good morning,

My school is asking for declaration of finance form to be filled. I want to ask if my sponsor must attach his statement of account or just for him to fill his part.

Thank you.
You should be asking your school this question. Don't be shy to ask them. If you are, then your visa interview becomes a tall task.

Is ECE like WES? Because it seems WES is beginning to have more conditions. Do schools accept from ECE too? If yes, how do i go about my evaluation with ECE rather than WES.

Thank you
They are both evaluating bodies but the one turns out favourable results more than the other. ECE is the easier between the two but turns out less generous results.

Additionally, if he plans 'settling down with his lady', he may need to consider an immigrant visa. B1/B2 is a nonimmigrant category.
