Oguibe2nice: Any one on AP since June 25.. Cgi track is blank.. Email track returns No status update for this passport no.. Case last update 26th June. My school resumes 26th of August.. I'm tearing out and gradually loosing my mind..am I the only one experiencing this emotional torment.. Think about this; they could have easily refused you all these while, but they haven't. That means there is plenty of hope. The earlier you take your mind off the AP to avoid high BP, the better for you. |

Mkabir243: Hello Good afternoon, Please I need an answer to this question, I went interview for student visa twice last year and I was denied, I used my father as a sponsor last year and I’m thinking of changing my sponsor to my Uncle. Please would that be possible? And will that sound convincing to the vo without any doubt or questions? If you have a very good reason to switch, then go ahead and be prepared to talk about the reason. Anybody can be your sponsor, but parental sponsorships readily fly with the VOs. |

LagosismyHome: it depends on the bank ........ My online bank statement in the US or Uk is exactly like a paper statement since i have signed up for paperless. There is no difference in look between if i print it or if the bank prints it and send it to me ...........which means if i give anybody the online version its exactly the same .
So in some cases i would say the online statement is good to go . In other words, @Rehabist27 is asking if he could take an unstamped SOA for interview. So further to your advice, I'll like to add in my view, that he's good to go as long as it's a genuine document. It is not necessarily the stamp that makes it a legit document, it could bear a 'stamp' and still be fake. @Rehabist27 if you are confident of surrendering your SOA to VO for further verification, then take your online print along with you. |

homirefacuny: Visa delayed at the Lagos consulate this morning
VO ....The course you told me you are going for is different from what I see on the i20. Me.... Yes. The Tennessee higher education commission accreditation of computer science is registered on their database as warehousing and data database administration. I have a doc from the school that clarifies that. I gave it to him.
Types forever .... VO ......sorry I won’t be approving your visa at this time .....bla bla bla She refused you based on the bolded as (s)he was likely not sufficiently convinced. This is no fault of yours. The VO just found a convenient reason to delay you. If you chose to refire immediately, that's okay. But if you've elected to give it some time. that's fine. I am sure a more experienced VO would adjudicate your application differently. |

slamcole: Both questions sounds similar but mean different things in the context.
The first WHY USM, was to find out what I like about the school and what attracts me to the school.
The second WHY USM was in relation to the other two schools I applied to and got admit. The VO wanted to know my reason for opting for usm even when I have admit from other schools.
And you'll see that my response were different, because I saw it as an opportunity to actually bring up some interesting facts. I can't agree any less with your analysis. I hope somebody is learning? Questions are contextual and you must situate it so as to produce the most suiting response. Sometimes these questions don't come in the most anticipated format, since they are aware that most applicants use websites like Nairaland to prepare. So to test you, they revise the questions and once you know your onions, you would always deliver. |

Ubah1: You can use Adeola Memorial Secondary School. Adeola Memorial College High school sounds so odd, don't use that. Rather maintain your Memorial College if you don't want to change. Another V.O might understand it better Problem identified is half solved. It may not be necessary changing school name right now. I will rather suggest he explains what transpired on his new DS form. There is a column to state the reason for denial. Let him explain this in detail. The next interviewing officer would definitely see the comments. While @Ogunwandetosin makes effort to put things in the right perspective, I will also advice him to work on the generality of his proposed questions and answers so that that next VO would not find another ground to delay him. He now has a second chance to dot his i's and cross his t's. |

The suspended Chairman is a pawn in the hands of the erstwhile Governor, Thief Theodore Orji. Perhaps, the sitting Governor is beginning to grow some balls which is good for the generality of Abians. That state claims to be God's own State, but it appears they are way far away from God. |

It appears Abuja embassy is becoming a scare and a no-go area for visa interviews. This is so unprofessional of them- doling out White Papers and going behind the scene to act the opposite.
Let's watch and see how all these will pan out in the end. 3 "refusals" in quick succession. Hopefully, it turns out to be a glitch as witnessed by a member here few days ago. |

felixboye1: Please guys in the house. Help me peruse my intending transcript. The first question on "What, where and why..." I presume you know the question may not come in that fashion. It would have made more sense if you separated it so I can know if there's any question you are supplying more answers than necessary. Why WSU? Your responses are okay. You may do well to leave out the minor reasons on the last paragraph. On sponsorship... you may need to have a convincing response on why Uncles are your sponsors. Ensure to go with the necessary support documents indicating your study leave approval. Over all, you've done a great job on your script. Work on the delivery....Go and conquer! |

Jaybeepictures: Good morning brothers and sisters. please me help look at this proposed mock interview, your duly corrections ans suggestions are really welcome Your response on Why USI is very shallow and would fetch you a zero score. What are some of those courses they offer and how are they relevant to you after the program. You didn't need to talk about weather, as it's nonacademic neither was the issue of internship necessary- USI is not the only school with opportunity for internship. If I am not convinced as to why you selected USI, be sure the VO won't adjudicate your response any different. What will this course do for you? You may need to mention in specific terms, where exactly you fit in with this degree. Mentioning "public agencies" sounds rather generic. Again, this is an opportunity to talk about the personal appeals that motivated you into this graduate program. Post-study plans: When you mentioned "Lagos State Secretariat", you sounded too sure you'd get it. Anyway, you need to present yourself as competitive and willing to give your services to jobs that deserve your quality. I am bewildered as to why you're leaving your job with CEO Africa and switching to Lagos state Secretariat. It doesn't show purpose and consistency. You can expect more questions including riders to the responses you provide. Work on these...Peace! |

PRYCE: Denials are constant yeah but for the whole of yesterday and the day before, no single approval in here.
At least, the NL fam gotta win some nah. Many are still getting their visa approvals on a daily basis, most of whom are not Nairaland members, while others who belong here have simply refused to give back. The recent hues and cries will play little or no role in influencing visa decisions. The candidate has a major role to play whilst still hoping on the God factor. I am speaking directly to those preparing for their appointment: Do your honest part! Prepare as though you are an atheist, and pray as though everything depends on it. Eschew every negative vibe you read here. I am sure some people also come here to spread panic deliberately and otherwise. "Your case is different" should be your slogan as you make ready to meet your VO friend |
