And I carried out a bts mapping in abuja, during de excersise visited some police station in whc de equiptment was installed from nigcomsat we were main to undersstand dose equiptment never function and de project as been dere for 2 years nw,

I also happen to train some secuurity personel from de armed force to the police....and dey were expose to de knowledge of GIS....de police don't have GIS professional.... Dey are trying to create a unit call geospatial intelligence unit....I guess dats where de GIS professional will work

I came across that stuff too on npf. webpage.

But, Until we see the curriculum, we may not be very sure.

However, there must be 6 months Basic Training at POLICE COLLEGE to adapt us to POLICE SYSTEM after which we will start wearing the POLICE UNIFORM.

Then another 6 months for Intensive ICT training to adapt us as Specialists.


Then, another 6 Months for Attachments/Internship POSTING.

thats what someone told me.

Then after One Year, Another ICT set will be recruited. and Some of us will be sent for an Advance Training so that we will train the new ones.

Its a good thing that we are prepared to know what lies ahead.

But My Spirit tells me that Most of us will be very fortunate in the Service if we work with integrity.

dis does not ve anytin 2 do wit our recruitment process.

That cant be the ISSUE.

Infact, we have not been that fair with PSC to be honest.

We can only talk about DELAY only if PSC had earlier given us a date to expect.

I am sure that PSC has already CALENDARISED their PROJECTS for the year and they know the IMPLICATIONS of any DELAY or alteration in their schedule.

I know most of us also have our respective timetables that will expect PSC to respect.

God forbid it would not be d same 4 us. But i'm sure dat d reason behind dis delay may not be unconnected wit logistics problem etc. So lets hope & pray!
