Romney's tough math: with Obama
presumably favored in Nevada, Obama now
holds 257 electoral votes once NH and WI
are added to the blue states. Obama is an
early, but clear favorite in Colorado. There's
nothing yet in Iowa, but a win in the
Hawkeye State would combine with
Colorado to give Obama the presidency.
Florida looks extremely close and it's easy
to see how Obama could take the lead with
outstanding votes from Democratic areas.
Obama's showing in Richmond bodes well
for his chances in northern Virginia, which
would give him the state if he could repeat
his '08 performance. There aren't many
Election Day votes in Ohio, but Obama took
a large lead in the early vote.
Obama trails by less than one million votes
in the popular vote and could easily take the
lead when the West Coast states report.
