You can have values when it is convenient to have values. Soon, push will change to shove and you will do what needs to be done to stay up or else you go down with your values. Barcelona now buy more players than waiting for La Masia to bring up Messi and Iniesta every year. More players from outside will mean a gradual but sure departure from these 'values'. If this trend continues then in the next 10 yrs there may be very little left of our famed 'values'. But if Barcelona keeps winning and keep having the best of the players, why would I lose sleep?
Even when we buy, we keep producing beautiful football, ronaldinho's era, basically our first eleven were bought! So forget ur win at all cost mentality. You can go support a mou team!

There is no 2nd place position in UCL. It's either you win or not.

You coached the richest club in the world for 26 years and won just 2 UCL for them. That's pathetic. May Barcelona never experience such.

Is Wenger a top coach? No! Guys like Simeone and Unai Emery are well above him as far as continental titles are concerned.

So, don't even mention him.
united have been the richest for 2 years? I never knew! Unai n simeone ahead of Wenger? Okay!

I disagree. Umtiti was bought not to learn, but to play. The dude has dislodged Mathieu from the team. Rakitic replaced old Xavi before Xavi was sold. Why can't Dennis or Gomes replace old Iniesta. It's simply because they aren't good enough.
matieu is the definition of uselessness, so I'm not going into that Titi talk. How old was xavi then n how old is Andres now? Gomes is not at rest at am, how many times ll I have to repeat this line? Denis played mostly left wing last season at villareal last season. So they have to learn!

We are talking about continental titles. With the prestige of United being among the top 2 richest Club, Fergie had 2 UCL titles in 26 years. This is barren run.

May Fc Barcelona never experience such in my life time. Amen.
so barca's productive run Lucho takes credit? RIijkaard nkor? Cruyff? Let's just drop this matter! SAF played 4 UCL finals, won 2, lost 2. Wenger in how many years, how many finals? That's barrenness right there!

I'm not talking about domination, I'm talking about influencing the game. Remove Rakitic, our midfielders are not scoring, assisting and creating chances.

All those stats are being provided by our front 3. Rafinha, Dennis and Gomes are not up to our standard.

That's my point.
I'm never disputing that...but you should also note they weren't bought to start, but to learn! He can't improve his midfielders. Even neymar should be playing at a different level under some other coaches

Let the City talk slide for now. It's another debate entirely.

Mou has NEVER won the UCL with any EPL side. Fergie won 1 treble in 26 years. I don't want this barren streak in my club.

Barcelona is the most dominant team in La liga since the beginning of the millennium. All thanks to Guardiola's and Enrique's different styles.
so cos united n bayern for example have won just one treble each for their respictive histories, they had barren runs? Lol....all that treble talk sha, Fergie n barren I same sentencehuh His UCL record might not be as impressive as the jose's pep's n carlo's of this world, but do not disrespect him atleast

You think City will make top 4 in La liga? Well, that's another discussion entirely.

Every coach has its style of play. Guardiola builded his on Xavi, Iniesta and Messi. Enrique depends on MSN. Both have their flaws, both styles have delivered treble.

If you are looking for a dominant midfield with a direct attack, then I guess you have to perhaps change the coach. However I won't say we should sack Enrique because despite his flaws, his style is still bringing results.
Do you know what gave us that treble? A mixture of both! Even first half of last season with xavi long gone, we were dominating games, so I wonder where all these talk of we can't dominate with these set of midfielders is emanating from...They been there; done that

Imagine? ?? I wonder when we fans started thinking in that direction. They are forgetting that even Di matteo won the Champions league with chelsea! As for the league tittle, even Tito won from his sick bed! That's how dominant we've been in the league. I just really blame Tata martino

If he isn't a puppet, he should have left messi on the bench in the next match after that Anoeta fallout

Which coach will you rather we have atm ? undecided

I just hope some of the sentiments being shared here concerning the coach is not shared amongst the board members and the players. Enrique remains the best there is. His pragmatic approach is what we need. Real Madrid will give anything to have someone of his personality manning their dugout. Let's appreciate what we have before we lose it
I am not a board member so even if I make suggestions, it's of no use, but I'm almost sure some board members are having doubts too ( we ll have to wait for the next 24 months to confirm tho)

TBH, I stand with bykebyke on this issue!
Enrique is making our midfield go down the drain and I don't like it! We are playing so haphazardly!
Against Man city, our midfield was lost! Silva and Co were dominating the midfield!
People might say Pep is too inflexible, but Enrique is too flexible! Flexible to a fault! He is ready to do anything to win and some of the things he does have consequences!
We are a big club, with a history of one of the greatest midfield the world has seen, reducing our midfield to rubbish is unacceptable!

i still want him to stay tho'!

City is not a top team as far as I'm concerned. Their game plan suits us well. Bring any top EPL side that depends on a playmaker like Ozil or Silva, they will always be tamed by Busquets.

However, an all round team like Villarreal, Sevilla, Atletico who doesn't depend on a playmaker will always expose Busquets' flaws. You saw what Celta did recently.

If you are talking about domination, I'm sorry, it's a past thing. Our game style has changed. It's now our front 3 running the show. You see Messi in the middle trying to influence things when formation shows he should be on the wings. It's because our midfielders are not influencing the game enough.

A Rafinha, Dennis and Gomes are not Barca's Standard and I've said this all along.
city that you don't rate as a top team ll thrash the likes of sevilla, celta, villareal, with athletico being the only exception. Busquets isn't a problem. Those 3 (Rafinha denis n Gomes) may not be at iniesta's level, but do you expect to see a player like Andres every other year? Our general game domination isn't a thing of the past as you claim, it's just that we don't have a coach that's tactically sound to implement it n mix it with his direct football! Even if we get verrati n coutinho, Lucho I know, won't still get them to dominate
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by 10d0ve(m): 8:09am On Oct 23, 2016

The truth is no one among Dennis, Gomes and Rafinha can play that Iniesta role in Barca's quality. Like someone said, our front 3 have been bailing us out in goals, assists and chances created. Only Rakitic has provided some assists from midfield so far this season.

Facing grade A teams like Madrid, Atletico, Sevilla, and in Europe, Bayern, I think Arda will come good. The guy has really impressed in his games this season.

I still insist that Gomes should anchor our midfield in some games to really assess his quality there. Busquets is just too relaxed and unimpressive. I saw how Valencia guys especially Parejo were just messing him up in that match. I dunno know what he's really contributing to our midfield. OK he can pass, but the question is who can't?

Our main strength is our front 3, Pique and Umtiti. Our weakness is our midfield. An area that used to be our main strength.
So Arda, Denis, Raki, ( even when don was fit ) Rafinha, n busi, our midfield is still weak, is it thier (players) fault individually? Remember we've been dominate with these same set of players before, especially (busi iniesta, n rakitic to a huge extent ) I will forever cut those 3 slacks tho. Busi can only pass? You didn't watch vs city then

Lol ... Is this a joke? Rafinha to suarez in midfield? , I can almost bet on it today that Rafinha is not barca quality. He ll eventually leave when his foster dad (Enrique) leaves. Everything a midfielder does, Dennis does better....

BTW, I'm deeply impressed with M. ElHadid, and his progression so far. His goal was great.

I disagree. D.suarez is the best to replace the don! A.Gomes is a good player, but he's more at ease at cm, but Lucho expects him to fit into all midfield roles effortlessly, it doesn't work that way! Turan simply cannot play am for barca as good as he did for ATM. Dennis is way more mobile, faster, works harder, recovers more ball.

smiley Arda against madridhuh With Kroos, casemiro, modric. Hmmm! I just don't want Denis to become jack of all trade master of none like Rafinha n Arda. we have the most balanced midfield in Europe yet it's difficult for Lucho to get them to dominate games? Haba... Busquets, iniesta, Rakitic, Gomes, D.suarez, Rafinha(his first son) Arda. Umtiti was my MOM!!! Bar msn, Lucho is still several levels behind pep tactically. Rakitic did exactly what I had expected. Neymar can be better than this, I'm too sure of this!
