Ten persons, including a traditional ruler, the Onu Agbenema, Musa Edibo; and his wife have been killed, while several houses were burnt down by suspected herdsmen in separate attacks on Agbenema, Aj’Ichekpa, Opada and Iyade villages, on Monday.

Agbenema is in Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The attackers who were allegedly armed with sophisticated weapons hid in the bushes around these villages from were they reportedly launched deadly attacks on their targets.

According to the natives, the herdsmen whose mode of operation is to set the houses ablaze and open fire on the fleeing inhabitants, allegedly slit victims’ throats and cut off their vital parts.

The natives who would not want their names in print stated that the administrator of Omala LGA, Ibrahim Aboh, was lucky to have escaped from the attackers.

Also, the houses of former chairman, Adofu Stephen; and that of his parents were burnt.

Residents said soldiers who were drafted to curtail the herdsmen’s rampage allegedly refused to assist them to repel the suspected herdsmen.

PoliticsEFCC Director Drags Magu To Court, Narrates Ordeal by 10Ebisco(op): 1:34pm On Mar 19, 2018
A director in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ayo Olowonihi, has accused the commission’s acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu of injustice.

The complainant, in the suit marked: NICN/ABJ/347/2017, wants the court to declare his demotion as well as the processes that led to it as illegal and null and void.

Led in evidence by his lawyer, Prof. J.O Amupitan (SAN), he told Justice Sanusi Kadu of the National Industrial Court in Abuja that he was appointed as Head of Training on grade level 16 Step 1 in 2005 and later Commandant of the EFCC Academy in March 28, 2012.

Olowonihi disclosed further that after he sat and passed the commission’s promotion examinations conducted by the Public Service Institute, he was promoted to the rank of Detective Commander on August 29, 2013.

He claimed that Magu, on November 19, 2015, summoned him into his office, accusing him of being behind some online publications on the activities of the commission and against the person of the chairman (Magu).

He said on Magu’s directive, he was interrogated, his official computer taken away, while his two phones were seized, adding that his office, after being thoroughly searched by a team of detectives and policemen, was sealed up.

The complainant said further that while interrogation was still on, Magu demoted him as Commandant and redeployed him from the EFCC Academy.

He said while the letter was purported to have been issued by the management of the commission, he was not aware of any management meeting where such decision was taken being a management staff.

Olowonihi disclosed that he received a query on December 22, 2015, accusing him of breaching certain section of the commission Staff Regulation Handbook and replied on December 29, 2015, denying all the allegations, but was surprised to receive that same day, a letter of indefinite suspension from work without pay with immediate effect.

He stated that since his suspension over two years now, he was never invited to appear before any panel nor were there any communication until November 16, 2017, when he was served with a letter of reinstatement dated November 15, 2017, demoting him and forfeiting his salaries and emoluments.

In the reinstatement letter, the complainant was accused of breach of confidence by the Senior Staff Promotions and Disciplinary Committee.

He, however, claimed that he was never invited by the committee to defend himself of the said allegations or any other misconduct.

Olowonihi insisted that the commission Staff Regulation Handbook 2007 on which he was queried, demoted and asked to forfeit his salaries and entitlements and purported reinstatement, has not been approved by the commission or its board.

While claiming that it is only the commission that has disciplinary powers over a management staff, he said the federal government was yet to constitute the commission/board since 2015.

Olowonihi said based on the above, he rejected the conditions of his reinstatement in a letter dated November 22, 2017.

However, counsel to the defendant, Ibrahim Audu, during cross-examination, asked the complainant to confirm to the court if he was still a director in the commission and commandant of the Academy.

Responding, Olowonihi answered in the affirmative, claiming that he has already written to the commission rejecting his demotion as he was never found guilty of any offence.

Responding also to question on the validity of the commission’s regulation handbook on which disciplinary action was taken against him, he insisted that the regulation was not valid because it has not been approved by the commission, adding that some staff of the commission who have been punished have been challenging the validity.

Olowonihi said he played a major role in the drafting of the regulation, adding that the work of the drafting committee ended at the doorstep of the director of organisation who was to transmit it to the board for approval. He however said he cannot tell if that was done.

He also said by the mandate of the Academy, promotion examinations and other examinations are to be conducted by it, but the examinations were outsourced to the Public Service Institute and JAMB.

Olowonihi claimed that the promotion examination he wrote was conducted in the Academy but not by the Academy.

After cross-examining the complainant, Audu asked for an adjournment to enable the defendant call its witnesses.

Justice Kadu, adjourned till April 30, 2018, for continuation of trial.

CelebritiesAfter Eviction From Bbnaija House, Leo Loses His Mother by 10Ebisco(op): 11:02pm On Mar 18, 2018
Leo who took to Instagram to share the news, said his mother has long been buried according to Muslim rights. Shortly after his eviction from the Big Brother Naija house, Leo has reportedly lost his mom who has long been buried according to Muslim rights.

Sharing the news of his mother’s death on his Instagram page, he wrote;

March 18, 2018. The worst day of my life. I lost my mother and I had to bury my mother today according to her Muslim rights. I remember the day of the Big brother auditions, you forced me to go, you said “you can win it for your business”. You said so far I’m myself, they will adore me. You set the pace for my life. You gave me everything. Today I felt like I could not breathe.

Your legacy is that of the greatest woman I have ever known. Rest in peace Alhaja RMO Sanni. Rest in peace legend. Thank you for everything. Till we meet again. ❤❤❤

Thank you to everyone that has supported me through this ordeal. I’m sorry I couldn’t pick calls.

This report is coming few hours after we reported that Leo, said his mum encouraged him to go for the Big Brother Naija reality show. Sharing his story with Sunday Scoop, he said;

“I do not feel bad that I was evicted from the Big Brother Naija House. I went on the platform so that I could put my business out there and I think I was able to do that. I provide services for people and the more I’m known, the better for my business.

That was the reason my mum made me to go for the audition. If I was able to win the grand prize, it would have been a big bonus but I am not disappointed; that’s how God wanted it to be. I was the only one in the house who didn’t unpack his luggage because I knew that I could live at any time. I just wanted to sell the real me; I made up my mind not to lose myself because of the money. At the end of it all, my mum was very happy and she said I made her proud.”

PoliticsN13.5 Lawmakers’ Salary: What Nigerian Senators Must Do Now – Suleiman by 10Ebisco(op): 10:57am On Mar 18, 2018
A former Minister of National Planning, Prof. Abubakar Suleiman has called on members of the Senate and House of Representatives to passionately meet the executive to have a downward review of the jumbo pay they collect every month.

He also urged relevant government agencies to take urgent steps to reduce the remunerations of the lawmakers.

He said the lawmakers’ monthly pay must be brought down in tandem with the current realities.

Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central in the Senate, had revealed that a senator receives N13.5 million as running cost every month.

Reacting to this when he spoke with the Sun, Suleiman said, “I will agree that it is not the decision of the National Assembly to decide what they earn.

“But in the spirit of fairness and considering the situation in the country, senators and members of the House of Representatives should passionately meet the executive to review their remunerations.

“Considering the situation in the country and the fact that the price of oil in the international market has gone down, I think they should reduce it. That money is too outrageous.

“It’s too killing and it does not make sense. During my days as a minister, I didn’t go home with up to N1 million every month.

“If a minister does not earn that in one month, I don’t think lawmakers should earn it.

“The N1 million I am talking about, my housing allowance was included. Something should be done about the pay and done urgently too.”

CelebritiesEmir Sanusi Prevented From Visiting Cyprus by 10Ebisco(op): 7:50am On Mar 16, 2018
The Emir of Kano and former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Muhammadu Sanusi II has been barred by Nigerian Ambassador to Turkey, Amb. Ilyasu Audu Paragalda from entering Turkish Repulblic of Northern Cyprus.

This was following the Emir’s planned visit to give a lecture at the Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus on the 15th of March.

The Nigerian Ambassador to Turkey giving reasons for his actions stated that Emir Sanusi’s request to the country was turned down based on diplomatic reasons.

According to him, Northern Cyprus is not safe for Royal Highness.

“The Emir should not come to Northern Cyprus for diplomatic reasons. Also because Northern Cyprus is a non-recognized country therefore not a safe place.”

This stirred up reactions from Nigerian students in Northern Cyprus, querying why a Nigerian Leader would be stopped from visiting Nigerians for academic purposes whereas the Ambassador had kids studying in North Cyprus under a scholarship scheme granted by the university.

A student of Eastern Mediterranean University who pleaded anonymity called on Nigerian government to come to their aid.

He said “An annual academic event tagged ’Career week’, which is to be held at Eastern Mediterranean University in Northern Cyprus from the 12th to the 15th of March to have in attendance the Emir of Kano, HRH Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has been cancelled.

“The Emir had accepted our invitation to grace the career week event, which is strictly for academic purpose, as well as to address international students which includes Nigerians.

“Several weeks and months of vigorous planning had been made towards this great event, and numerous resources were spent, but unexpectedly, the Ambassador of Nigeria to Turkey, Ilyasu Audu Paragalda insisted that the Emir should not come to Northern Cyprus because Northern Cyprus is a non-recognized country; with claims that Northern Cyprus is not a safe place.

“And just some weeks back, the Ambassador of Turkey accompanied Minister Of Justice to the same place they denied the Emir an entrance, not only this there are some of the top government officials that visited N.Cyprus. Among them was the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, and recently last week some senate and house of reps members were here on the island.

“Why is the Ambassador preventing the Emir from visiting when the ambassador himself has kids studying in North Cyprus under a scholarship scheme granted by the university? Also, why is the Nigerian Embassy in Ankara collecting very huge amount of money from each and every graduating student from North Cyprus universities just to get a signature on their certificates? Why are they collecting lots of scholarship slots from all the universities here, and sharing those slots within themselves and their staff each and every semester? Why are they charging outrageous amounts for International passport renewal when they come to renew passports of Nigerian Students here in Northern Cyprus?

“We need the Ambassador to answer all these questions on why he is trying to create a barrier between Nigerians and their leaders. Does that mean he is trying to repudiate the people whom he has been assigned to represent?”

CrimeRIP:2 ABSU Final Year Students Drown 2 Days To Their Final Exam In Ebonyi by 10Ebisco(op): 9:27am On Mar 14, 2018
According to reports, two final year students of the Abia State University have died after drowning. The two students, who were said to be buccaneers, drowned on Saturday, during a boat ride, as sailors, in Ebonyi State.

They have been identified as Kelechi Elendu and Charles Benjamin Ngozichukwuka of the departments of Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology, respectively.
Friends of the deceased have taken to social media pages to show sympathy and pay tribute to their friends who they still can’t believe have passed on.
Also, a 12-year-old boy, Samsodeen Adeniran, who went fishing with 4 of his friends drowned in a river on Lisaluwa Street, Ondo State.
The boys were said to have gone fishing shortly after a downpour in the area. According to reports, the friends had agreed to go fishing at River Saluwa in the town with the hope that they would make some catch after the downpour.
12-year-old Samsodeen Adeniran was alleged to have jumped into the river but did not come up swimming, which caused his friends to raise the alarm.
His parents were reportedly informed of the incident and a report was lodged at Funni-Fagun Divisional Police Station in the town.
A search party was raised and its efforts later paid off after some hours, as the lifeless body of the boy was discovered wedged between some woods.
A source said:

“Local swimmers were employed to find the missing boy. His corpse was later found in the river by the swimmers.”

Another source told Punch that the deceased’s parents were arrested by the Ondo State Police Command for the death.
The Ondo State Police Public Relation Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident, describing it as sad and unfortunate.
He, however, denied the arrest of the deceased’s parents, saying they were only invited for interrogation.
Joseph said:

“It is illogical to say we arrested the parents. They came to report to us and they told us that they were not interested in making any case from the incident and we agreed with them. So, they left and buried the boy.”

CrimeMan Stabs His Girlfriend To Death For Allegedly Having A Sugar Daddy by 10Ebisco(op): 7:48am On Mar 14, 2018
A man in Bungoma, Kenya has stabbed his girlfriend to death for allegedly having an affair with a sugar daddy. He also made an attempt to kill himself afterwards.
Simon Wamalwa, a first year student at Sang’alo Institute of Science and Technology, stabbed his girlfriend, Mildred Wanyonyi while they had a quarrel.

According to witnesses, the two were living together in the same room in a hostel outside the campus since joining the institution early this year.
Sylvia Udoto, a student, said that Wamalwa had accused Mildred of having a ‘sponsor’ who was pampering her with gifts. Ms Udoto said the two then engaged in a quarrel leading to a physical confrontation that led to the death of the female student.

“Wamalwa had claimed that his girlfriend had acquired a sugar daddy who was pampering her with gifts. The girlfriend denied and a quarrel ensued and he stabbed her several times,” she said.

Wanyonyi is later reported to have made an attempt on his own life by turning the knife on himself, but he was rescued by the residents around the area.
Another student, Sylvester Odhiambo, said they heard a commotion in one of the rooms followed by screams and rushed to the scene.

Odhiambo said on arriving at the scene, they found that Wanyonyi had stabbed his girlfriend and was lying in a pool of blood.
He said they noticed that she heard several stab wounds on her body and was lying lifeless in the room while Wanyonyi was writhing in pain.

“We heard noises coming from one of the rental houses that hosts students and when we got there we saw that the girls had been stabbed severally and was lying unconscious,” he said.

Wamalwa is currently receiving treatment at the Bungoma County Referral Hospital while the body has been taken to the hospital’s mortuary.
Confirming the incident, Bungoma South OCPD, David Kirui, said investigations were ongoing and the suspect will be arraigned in court soon.

“We received a report on the incident in Sang’alo and police were called in and found the suspect lying on the floor in a pool of blood while Mildred was on the bed. They were both rushed to Bungoma County Referal Hospital where Mildred was pronounced dead on arrival,” he said.

PoliticsWhy I Exposed How Much We Earn As Senators – Shehu Sani Reveals by 10Ebisco(op): 11:20pm On Mar 13, 2018
The senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has opened up on why he decided to reveal the actual running costs received monthly by senators of the federal republic of Nigeria.

While speaking in an interview with BBC, popular senator, Shehu Sani, who revealed that he and his national assembly colleagues receive N13.5 million as running cost monthly, explained why he exposed his fellow lawmakers.

“I decided to burst it open. It was a moral issue,” he said, adding that the National Assembly is being run with little accountability about how the money is spent.

The lawmaker said that he wants the illegal payment to be scrapped so that the legislative arm of government will be attractive only to people who can contribute ideas.

“The National Assembly is one of the most non-transparent organs of government. It pricked my conscience and I decided to burst the bubble and open the National Assembly to public scrutiny.

“If the expenses payment system was ended then parliament would only be attractive to people who contribute ideas,” he told BBC.

He also accused the National Assembly of being one of the most non-transparent organs of government.

Recall that the senator had in an interview revealed that he and his colleagues receive N13.5 million monthly as “running cost”, aside a N750, 000 monthly consolidated salary and allowances which they also receive.

His revelation is the first by a lawmaker from the Senate since the clamour by Nigerians for a full disclosure of lawmakers’ earnings.

O his instagram post this is what he wrote,

“Everything that God created thrived where it was placed. He spoke them into existence. Man came into existence in God. God created man a spirit. So man relates to God by the spirit. We shall worship God in spirit and in truth. After God created man, He blessed him.

The first thing man heard God say was to be fruitful. God said to mankind, “Produce.” God put productivity in the soul of mankind and we’ll never be fulfilled until we produce something. We weren’t created to consume. We were created to produce.

Before God brought man his helper, He created in him the desire for a companion. God gave man desire by design to draw him to becoming productive. God is the engineer of desire. He has designed us to want the destiny He has planned for us. As long as you abide in God, make sure you don’t minimize your desires. Don’t turn loose what you have envisioned.

How bad do you really want it? If you just desire it, God will bring it from wherever He needs to bring it. God is healing the place in you that isn’t producing. If your hopes have been dashed, don’t give up. Say to yourself, I still want it. Everything God promised, I still want it.”

There’s something I your life that has fallen in the sane and the devil has told you it’s over. Pick it up and wash it off. Don’t give up. What did God design in you to desire? You can still have #DesignedToEmbraceDesire(@bishopjakes)

Happy Mother’s Day,Thank you for always holding it down in my Absence.

Politics2019: Okorocha Speaks On Why He’s Backing Son-in-law As Successor by 10Ebisco(op): 10:39am On Mar 11, 2018
The Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha on Saturday explained that his decision to throw his weight behind having his Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu, as successor in 2019 was informed by age and the need for a governor who can move Imo state beyond his achievements.

He pointed out that of all who have indicated interest in his seat, only Nwosu, who happens to be his son-in-law, qualifies for the job given that aside being below 50 years of age, he has the capacity to immediately drive the state to its desired destination.

The governor, who spoke to newsmen through his Special Adviser on Electoral Matters, Chief Steve Asimobi, and the Special Adviser on Imo State Liason Office in Abuja, Dr. Edward Onyemaechi Ihejirika, said his administration would not condone attempts by some people opposed to his choice to cow him to submission.

Recall that some persons gathering under the aegis of the Imo APC Restoration Coalition, had reported Okorocha to President Muhammadu Buhari and the party’s national chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, warning that with the way Okorocha was handling his succession plan, the APC may be headed for a shameful and colossal failure in Imo state next year.

Okorocha on Saturday dismissed claims in some quarters that there was an existing zoning arrangement that governorship of the state be rotated among the three geo-politcal zones of the state.

While describing Nwosu as the best choice for the state in 2019, he called on the people of Imo state to support him so he can take the state to the next level.

Asimobi explained that the decision to have Nwosu as next governor of the state was not that of the governor but the decision of all stakeholders among which included traditional rulers, traders, political leaders from across the council areas of the state and different groups in the state.

He said, “the governor has given quality reasons why he will not hand over power to anybody who is above 50 years of age.

“The Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu can place his hands on the handle, he can drive the state and he is humble. He’s not vindictive, he’s young and have age on his side so he can inspect projects without getting arthritis.

“The governor has given quality reasons why he would support Uche Nwosu as governor. But contrary to what you may have heard, the governor has not endorsed him even as he is qualified to endorse whoever he wants to endorse.

“Nobody wants his legacy to disappear, so endorsement is a natural process in any democratic system. During last election, the Catholic Church took a decision that they wanted to endorse, traders will endorse, traditional rulers will endorse, communities will endorse. And so the governor is also qualified to endorse whoever he wants to endorse but he has not said so.

“He has not foisted any candidate on the masses because the party will still go through primary. That is the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the party’s guideline as well as the Electoral Act.”

CelebritiesTekno 'punch' Terry G Down To Rise by 10Ebisco(op): 10:01am On Mar 05, 2018
It is often said that one man has to fall for another to rise. That statement brings to mind the careers of two artistes, Tekno and Terry G.

One of the most difficult things in the music industry is to be a successful commercial music producer and artiste at the same time. Even in America, which, perhaps, has the most vibrant music industry, no one has made a real mark as a producer-artiste.

Here in Nigeria, Terry G is the only person to have achieved this feat. He rose to reckoning as a producer, recorded several hits himself and successfully merged the two until some four years ago, when demand for his brand in both fields, especially production, dropped.

And just as he took everyone by surprise with his meteoric rise, Pana singer, Tekno, has taken over Terry’s former position in the process.

When Chocolate City singer, Victoria Kimani, was still struggling to have her breakthrough hit, it was Tekno who helped her out by producing the smash hit, Show, for her. It was he who produced Panya for Bracket, when their hits had dried up and also aided Ice Prince to have his real last hit, Boss.

And just in case you don’t know, the monster hit by Davido, Fia, was produced by him as well.

He produced all these hits and others while releasing and performing his own hits that include Dance, Duro, Diana, Wash, Pana, Samantha and Go.

The late OJB Jezreel also tried his best to be a successful producer-artiste, but it didn’t work out for him. Others who also tried and failed include Sheyman and Paul IK Dairo. Del B is still trying his best to achieve the feat.

Crime5 Dead In Fresh Mambilla Plateau Attacks by 10Ebisco(op): 11:01pm On Mar 03, 2018
Five people have been reportedly killed and several others injured in fresh attacks on Fulani communities by suspected Mambilla militia in Sardauna local government area of Plateau State.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP David Misal, confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday that the crisis erupted in Nyiwa and Yerimaru areas on Thursday as a result of a misunderstanding between a farmer and a herder.

He said units of mobile policemen and soldiers from the 20 battalion in Serti had been deployed to the area to maintain law and order.

Misal added that the situation, which led to the burning of several homes and killing of many cows, has been brought under control.

A victim of the attack, Malam Abubakar Ardo, who escaped with his family, told NAN in Gembu that the attacks started at midday on Thursday and most of the killings occurred in the night.

He said almost all houses in about 15 Fulani communities were torched by the assailants.

Ardo said that the timely arrival of both army and police prevented further killings and destruction of property.

He said that about 15 people were killed during the violence on Thursday evening, adding that five of those killed were buried in Gembu on Friday.

Ardo also confirmed that security personnel have been drafted to the trouble areas leading to restoration of peace.

He called on the state government and security agencies to apprehend and prosecute perpetrators to serve as deterrent to others

Politics2019: Asari Dokubo Supports Atiku Abubakar, Dismisses Fayose, Tambuwal by 10Ebisco(op): 8:02am On Mar 03, 2018
Ex-militant leader in the Niger Delta, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, has advised the Peoples Democratic Party on the choice of presidential candidate ahead of the 2019 election.

Asari, who spoke with Sun believes that only former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has the credentials to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, come 2019.

Speaking on other candidates indicating interest under the umbrella of the PDP, Asari, said mentioning names such as Tambuwal, Sule Lamido, and others shows that the main opposition party is not ready for the election.

His words, “Yes, the PDP is not ready for a fight. If the PDP is ready for a fight, there won’t be talks of Tambuwal candidature, someone who is a governor in APC. He destroyed PDP and ran to APC. They are talking of Tambuwal, who knows him in Bayelsa?

“PDP governors are lobbying a character like that to join the PDP and contest for the presidential ticket. They are talking of Makarfi, a man who could not win Senate election; a man who during the 2015 presidential election allegedly voted for Buhari and showed his ballot paper to the people before putting it in the box.

“Such a man is the one some PDP people are lobbying to get on the presidential ticket.

“Sule Lamido is not different from Buhari. He is one of these arrogant Fulani people who feel they own this country and the rest of us are just like appendages.

“Yes, I was in the SDP with Atiku Abubakar. He is the most liberal of all the people coming from the North. He has his own baggage. Let us look at other people. What are people like David Mark doing that they can’t contest?

“Is it that they are not courageous enough to come and fight? So everybody in the North would abdicate to the Fulani. Other Northerners are even afraid to take their liberty even when we have told them that we have taken our liberty and they should take theirs.”

On Fayose, he added, “Yes, he has signified his intention but it is not going to fly. Who is going to run Fayose’s election for him? Whose money is going to be used?

“The South West does not vote heavily. The percentage of voters is low. Ekiti state where Fayose is governor has one of the lowest voting population.

“The other voters in South West are in the hands of the APC. For me, David Mark would have been the very best for PDP to galvanise the swing nationalities; those people outside Hausa, Fulani and Yoruba and bring them together to join with the Igbo and some other liberal Yoruba people.

“But if David Mark is not there, among the Fulani if the PDP insists on having a Fulani to become its presidential candidate, Atiku is their best bet.

“We also have Ibrahim Shekarau, a very honest and cerebral man. But does he have resources because election demands resources. At the end of the day, a lot of people do not know Shekarau in the South.

“Atiku already has platforms across Nigeria and whatever it is he can fight more. Aside that, he has also talked about restructuring and as an Ijaw man, we want to engage him, what he means by restructuring. If PDP is looking for somebody with a war chest to fight and that would attract a lot of people from the APC, it is Atiku.”

CelebritiesThink He’ll Propose? 5 Things You Must Know Before You Say YES by 10Ebisco(op): 7:28am On Feb 26, 2018
Getting engaged is one of the happiest times of your life, for sure, but before you decide to spend the rest of your days with someone, it’s important to know that you’re really, really ready to commit. Here’s what you need to know about yourself, your guy and your relationship before you say “yes.”

1. Whether You Really Love Him — Or the Idea of Getting Married
You don’t want to marry Mr. I-Suppose-He’s-Right just because you’re caught up in bridal excitement, or because it seems like the logical next step or because everyone you know is tying the knot. To be sure it’s the guy you want, and not just the Mrs. title, psychologist Elizabeth Lombardo, PhD, author of A Happy You: Your Ultimate Prescription for Happiness, suggests asking yourself these questions: Can you imagine any other man in your wedding/honeymoon/married life plans? Would you still want to marry your guy if it was just the two of you at the courthouse? Think carefully about your answers before taking the next step.

2. That You Love Him Just As He Is (Because He’s Not Going to Change)
What irritates you about your guy now will really grate on you after you’re married. He’s a total slob? A night owl when you’re an early bird? Don’t kid yourself into thinking he’ll change once you’re hitched — that’s a blueprint for disappointment, says s*x therapist Lisa Paz. “Assume that any negative qualities you’re seeing will remain negative, and be realistic about what you’re willing to live with,” she says. So decide what’s a dealbreaker and what’s not before your boyfriend becomes your husband.

3. What His Financial Situation Is
Beyond what he pulls down in salary, you should know how much he has in savings, how much debt he’s carrying and — this is important — how he accrued it. “You don’t want any surprises after marriage,” says Lisa Decker, founder of Divorce Money Matters. Ask these questions before you’re married so you have an understanding of what caused any problems and how to prevent them from happening again. Sure, the conversation takes some finesse, but you can ease into it by discussing your hopes and dreams together, Decker says. “That opens the door to sharing what your money history has been.”

4. Whether You Both Want Children
Some couples want six kids — others can’t even imagine having one. What ultimately matters though, is that you both know in your gut how you feel about the “having kids” question. Sit down with your fiancé and have a true heart-to-heart: Discuss where you see yourself in 5 or 10 years and if kids are part of that vision. If you’re not on the same page, one of you will have to compromise in a big way, says Dr. Paz, which may be very stressful (or even a dealbreaker).

5. How to Eat at a Restaurant Alone
When your guy’s not around, there’s no need to be stuck at home with a Lean Cuisine — do something fun by yourself. “Many people aren’t comfortable doing this because they imagine others are judging them for being alone,” says Lombardo. But the reality is, most folks are probably too wrapped up in their own thoughts to ponder why you’re solo. So enjoy your meal and your alone time. It sends the healthy message to your guy that you don’t need him to entertain you every night. That kind of independence is s*xy!

PoliticsIPOB Disowns Factional Leader, Okwudili, Who Allegedly Works For DSS by 10Ebisco(op): 6:38am On Feb 23, 2018
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has disowned one Okwudili, who was allegedly paraded by the Department of State Service, DSS, in Abia State, as IPOB factional leader.

The Biafran agitators said that the action of the DSS operatives was laughable as it showed that those behind the action did not do their jobs well.

According to them, the story of Okwudili is like the trending story that Naira notes were swallowed by a snake. In a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, the organisation blamed those it said were being used as slaves by those in authority for the poor outing of the DSS, saying that IPOB supporters were the most disciplined on earth, and would therefore not engage in such charade by the Nigerian secret police.

The statement read, “We in the IPOB view as laughable the latest attempt by the Nigerian secret police, the DSS to rescue one of their sinking Igbo slaves… by seeking to deflate attention with the concocted, faceless, non-existent ‘Okwudili’ they claim is heading a ‘faction’ of IPOB.

“The DSS as a spy agency should work harder at infiltrating IPOB because all their efforts so far have failed miserably and will continue to fail because we are the most disciplined mass movement anywhere on earth today.

“Parading what is in effect a ghost as fake IPOB leader to give the impression that IPOB is divided is a wretched joke anticipated four years ago by the highest command of IPOB and something we knew would happen, so we are prepared for it.

It did not come to us as a surprise when this morning DSS hurriedly issued their usual ‘Okwudili’ press statement to the media.

“If this fake Okwudildi does exist, how come there is no picture of him anywhere, he doesn’t address any gathering, he has no village, no parents, nothing.

He is a mirage, a figment of the imagination of DSS and corrupt Igbo leadership.

‘Okwudili’ we know for sure exists in DSS’ computer hard drives and no place else.’’

Ben Maloney, communications officer, Commonwealth secretariat, said in a statement that the high level group would make recommendations on governance of the Commonwealth secretariat.

The Commonwealth, however, denied that the group was constituted to secretly begin considering who might succeed the Queen as its head.

“At their last Summit in Malta, Commonwealth heads of government directed the secretary-general to form the group.

“Today members are discussing the scope of the group’s work and the areas of governance it will examine over the coming months.

“The process is open and the high level group reports to the heads.

“The issue of succession of the Head of the Commonwealth is not part of the group’s mandate,” the statement said.

The group is chaired by Anote Tong, former President of Kiribati from 2003 to 2016.

Okonjo-Iweala, the coordinating minister of the economy during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, is among the seven-member group.
