Celebrities#bbnaija: “nina Will Undergo Moral Rehabilitation When She Returns” – IMSU Vice by 10Ebisco(op): 3:24pm On Apr 06, 2018
There are alleged reports that the Vice-Chancellor of IMSU, Prof Adaobi Obasi says Big Brother Naija housemate, Nina will undergo moral rehabilitation when she returns from the BBNaija show.

This is reportedly to purge Nina from any bad influences she might have picked up while featuring on the Big Brother Naija show.

Vice Chancellor of the institution reportedly told some Owerri based journalists that the measure is to forestall and foreclose any of the bad influences being transmitted on other students of the university where Nina is currently a student.
She said:

“As we have a lot to do, you too have a lot to do. One of my students is now in Big Brother Naija. It is not the type of thing I am saying because I don’t see the need. I am talking of something positive; something that will help. We are praying, I told some people that this lady, whatever influence that she has, does not affect my other students here, my daughters here.

“We give something that will yield something. I never know what that BBN, the morals it is teaching. Maybe I am the only one out there. I don’t know what it is teaching us. Is it to have sex in the public? So, this is my own opinion and I hold onto it. Can you imagine my student telling them that she will sort us out here. We are waiting for her to come and sort us out”

“Didn’t you listen to her, that she would sort us out. When she finishes, let her come home and sort us out. If this girl comes back, I will watch her and make sure she has dropped those influences. I know I sent out some girls to America for leadership training. I allowed them upon return to teach others. This is the type of thing I want us to do. I will watch her and I will make sure she has dropped that influence”

“We have never had hostels, but those hostels are ready now. I am taking the first year girls to the hostels because I can say they are intact. We can work from anywhere to do something. I have a passion for IMSU. If I leave it where I found it, generations will be against me”.

CelebritiesAdvice Column: I Want To Become A Slay Queen, I Don’t Care What Happens Before P by 10Ebisco(op): 4:19pm On Apr 03, 2018
Each time I see young girls my age venture into prostitution, I never stop wondering why. I would always wonder why people would take such a great risk just because of money. Money mostly to buy a weave, phone and clothes. This was my thought 4-5years ago until poverty came upon my family with vengeance.

My dad lost his job in 2016 and my mum who has been the only bread winner was snatched by the cold hands of death 6 months ago. No one to fend for us. My dad has taken to doing menial jobs to ensure we survive. I’m 16 and I know I’m beautiful. Boys can’t keep their eyes off me. One of them got me this phone I’m using. I go out and they buy me food and give me money . I don’t like it but I have no choice.

Politics2019: Buhari Will Defeat Obasanjo, IBB, Others – Says Presidency by 10Ebisco(op): 11:47am On Apr 02, 2018
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and General Ibrahim Babangida (retd.) have advised the President not to seek reelection.

Obasanjo has launched the Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM), which he described as a third force to the two dominant parties – the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Although the President has not declared his intention to contest, but the popular thinking is that he will.

Shenu, fielding questions from reporters yesterday, said the President “richly deserves a second term in office.”

He added that rather than asking Buhari not to contest in 2019, the former leaders should contest against him next year.

“My response to them is that if they like they can come and contest against President Buhari. He will defeat them, all of them,” Shehu said

On the belief by some Nigerians that President Buhari should not be talking of re contesting when there is hunger in the land, he said: “With all the noise the PDP is making, even during their tenure, did they give breakfast, lunch and dinner to every citizen? Is there any country in which someone does not go hungry?

“I am not saying it is perfectly in order but they are just politicising these issues. This is a government that has removed this country from the shame of food importation.

Every state of the country now is into rice production, and we are feeding not only Nigeria but West Africa.

“And the government is working on having respectable prices for food items, food inflation is coming down grossly. Everyone complaining of hunger should go and work. And you know that this is the only government that has introduced social investment schemes. We pay out now for the poorest of the poor; the least they wll get is N5,000.and a lot of these jobs that are being created are from loans with little or no interest from the Central Bank, Bank of industry, Banks of Agriculture, Development Bank and the rest.

“So, there is a lot going for people who really want to go out there to work, especially in agriculture.”

Shehu also faulted those saying it was a weakness for the President not to be able reshuffle his cabinet since 2015.

He said: “The President is the one who wears the shoes; he knows where it pinches. If the President hasn’t sacked his ministers, it means that he wants to continue to work with them.

“Maybe those agitating for the sack of the ministers are also looking for a chance to come in to replace those who are there, in that case, then they are driven by selfish motive.

“As President and commander-in-chief, he reserves the right to hire and fire. The fact that he hasn’t done that does not mean that he does not have the power to do that. I am sure if he wants do it, he will do it at his own pace and time but people who want to become ministers, how many minister can we even appoint in this country?

“I think people should just be busy; let them go and start farming instead of sitting down to speculate whether they can be made minister or not.”

Shehu rated the administration high on infrastructural development.

According to him, no past administration invested so much in capital projects like this.

“From day one when he took power, the President gave a target of not less than 30 per cent of annual appropriation devoted to infrastructure development. Without infrastructure we cannot lay the foundation for growth.

“When this administration came to power, between 95 and 96 per cent of public expenditure was going into overhead cost, leaving only about five or six per cent for infrastructure. The allocation of 30 per cent under this administration has led to tremendous improvement in the provision of infrastructure so far in the country. Now there is a lot of work going on, building new rail lines and the rehabilitation of the old rail system networks. Roads are being done all across the country, you only need to drive around to see for yourself.

“The amount of work this administration has done on roads, like the expressway from Enugu to Port Harcout, has not been done in the eight years of previous administrations. We are hoping that within this year before the next election Lagos -Ibadan will be completed. It’s a lot of money; we are doing it. Government is laying the sod now for the construction of a six lane road from Abuja to Kano.

“So there is so much that is going on in terms of that. We are doing power; you know that this administration has doubled availability of power in the country. When we came in, it stood at about 3,000 megawatts. We have hit 7,000 megawatts and we are doing more. So it depends on what you are looking at.

“This is a government that has spent N1.3 trillion in capital expenses under 2016 budget and has also spent as much as that under the 2017 budget and it’s almost closing on records for last year which was N1.3 trillion,” he said

Asked if the farmers/ herders crises had not rubbished the administration’s goal of securing lives and properties, Shehu said “The problem between farmers and herdsmen predate the independence of Nigeria; if you read history you will see that farmers and herdsmen had fought for space in this country; even when British colonial rulers were here. So, this is not something new.

“I am not saying it is welcome but I think it is over amplified now. There is a media spotlight on it because the opposition cannot engage Buhari administration on any other issue other than this lacuna that they have found.

“They cannot discuss the war against corruption because that’s a very uncomfortable area for them. They don’t want to discuss issues of infrastructure with Buhari; they don’t want to discuss economic diversification in which this administration has achieved a lot of success. Today we have 12 million rice farmers in this country; six million new jobs are being created in other sectors by agriculture alone, food import has gone down by 95 per cent, we are feeding ourselves.

“This year the government is planning a ban on rice importation. So we are doing so well moving from over reliance on oil to Agriculture and manufacturing.

“Therefore, I am not saying that it is okay that the farmers and herdsmen are fighting but we are doing a lot. You can see that the recent activity, especially the military operation now in the North Central section of the country, has led to the recoveries of large quantities of weapon illegally held by militias and even herdsmen.

“So something is being done about it. I know by the time this is done with, I don’t know what else the opposition will be talking about.” he said

Speaking on the assertion in the social media that President Buhari is shielding herdsmen from prosecution and begging them to accept amnesty, he said: “Well, I hope you also realise that the social media has brought a lot of good things to the world and it has also brought a lot of problems not only in Nigeria but everywhere in the world.

“Nations of the world are talking about regulations and control. This is happening in Germany, in the UK even the US you see that a lot these technology companies are being fined for infringements that they cause.

“It’s always been heard that the default position of the social media itself is to be negative, so people have turned out to ignore grand reality and project images that are very negative. Otherwise, I wonder , this is an administration that has done extremely well and to a President who has sworn to an oath to defend the constitution and protect every life and property, it is very unfair and uncharitable to say that he will shield anybody, and, in any case, the President controls only one layer of authority; what are the governors doing, is the social media also saying that the governors are protecting the herdsmen from the law, are they saying the local governments are also protecting them?

“You see, it has to take everyone at various levels of authority to shield somebody from the law in those circumstances, and the President himself, his passion is for the country, this is a President whose passion is not even for the office, even when everyone is asking him to go for a second term he is keeping quiet because his focus remains the nation and the problem of the country.

“Whoever is peddling these rumours that Boko Haram is being granted amnesty and so on I would ask them, who doesn’t want to make peace with the enemy? In any case as it is proverbially said, all wars end up in the boardroom. You can defeat people technically in the field but at the end you must come to the conference room to resolve all issues.

“So, if Boko Haram would lay down their arms and stop fighting and stop preaching that negative ideology, the country should be able to embrace them, welcome all of them so that they continue to live normal lives and be useful to the nation.

“What that means is that we will be saving cost, saving lives that are being lost through bombing, killing of service personnel and we will be saving money that we are using to procure weapons so that such money can go into services and infrastructure and welfare of the citizens of this country. It is a win -win situation,” he said.

PoliticsMilitary Expresses Readiness To Permanently Make Boko Haram Go Extinct by 10Ebisco(op): 7:46am On Apr 02, 2018
Following various deterrent options put in place by the Federal Government to dissuade Boko Haram terrorists from their course of insurgency; the Nigerian military have spearheaded efforts to finding lasting solution to the menace of the terrorists.

A statement issued on Sunday by Brig.-Gen. Texas Chukwu, Director of Army Public Relations said, in recent times, various operations have been conducted in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria and some are still ongoing – the most potent was OPERATION DEEP PUNCH II which led to the degradation of Sambisa Forest.

According to the statement, “The dominance of the Nigerian military presently in the theatre cannot be over-embellished even with the limit in the resources.

“Commander 22 Brigade Dikwa, Brigadier General John Ochai on Saturday 31 March 2018 led troops of 22 Brigade, Counter Terrorists Unit (CTU), Para Military Agencies and officials of Non-Governmental Organization (NGOs), on a show of force within Dikwa Emirate.

“What was interesting was the high moral the troops exhibited – the cheering from children, women and elderly; it was obvious that they have not seen this particular parade from the Nigerian military before, which in a strategic mission recaptured the town from the siege of Boko Haram Terrorists in 2015.”

The Commander, 22 Brigade, Ochai, while addressing troops after the exercise, said a clear message has been sent out to the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists still hiding in the bush on the confidence and the readiness of the troops to bring their existence to a permanent extinction.
The Brigadier-General added that, with what he saw today, the people of Dikwa are completely behind the military.

PoliticsOnce Middle Belt Is Destabilised, Nigeria’s Unity Will Be Threatened – Maku by 10Ebisco(op): 10:25am On Mar 29, 2018
Mr. Labaran Maku, one time supervisory Minister of Defence, and now the National Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has said that once the Middle Belt region is destabilised the unity of Nigeria would be in danger.

Maku, who spoke in Lafia during the 15th Anniversary of Radio Nigeria Precious FM Lafia, said Middle Belt region is the belt that holds Nigeria’s unity.

He said, “The middle belt region is the belt that holds Nigeria together, once the Middle Belt region belt is destabilised, Nigeria would divide, once the middle is divided, the unity of Nigeria is in danger.

“Once that peace is destabilised, there would be problem. That is my worry about Nigeria today because I have been in the Ministry of Defence and I understand the overwhelming responsibility, which the country is going through now.

“The reason why government was established in the first instance is that citizens concede their rights to elected representatives so that they will use that power to give them peace and stability for their society to move forward.”

Maku, who is a former supervising minister of defense, said that he would continue to make the point that all governments, especially at the state level, have their number one responsibility to peace.

“When we were here, we saw the root of this crisis taken place in 20011. We rose to the occasion and brought it down and there was stability. Today, this crisis is becoming like a diabetes, you are treating it today, tomorrow it worsens,” Maku said.

He appealing to the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, to make all the Federal Government broadcast outfits sited in Nasarawa State are back on air because they provide jobs and facilities for Nasarawa people to express themselves and as well educate the public.

PoliticsRailways: Senate Decries Marginalisation Of South East, South South by 10Ebisco(op): 8:52am On Mar 29, 2018
Senate has decried alleged marginalisation of the South South and South East, following exclusion of the two regions from the ongoing Nigerian Railway Development Project, championed by the Federal Government.

Adopting a motion sponsored by Senator Victor Umeh from Anambra State, Senate called on the Federal Government to include the Eastern Rail Lines in its ongoing standardisation programme and reflect same in the 2018 Appropriation Bill for implementation.

Senate also called on government to restore services on the Eastern Rail Lines which is currently out of use.

The upper legislative chamber charged the federal government to include the Eastern Rail Lines of the Nigerian Railways as one of the beneficiaries of the $6.8 billion loan approved for the standardisation and modernisation of the railways.

Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, said continuous marginalisation of the South South and South East, will always lead to unrest. and that until the two geopolitical zones are included in the ongoing modernisation project, lawmakers will not stop talking.

Senate Leader, Ahmad Lawan and senators Chukwuka Utazi, Adamu Aliero and others, supported Umeh’s motion.

In his lead debate, Umeh noted how “the Eastern Narrow Rail Lines of the Nigerian Railways (originating from Port-Harcourt going through the South East to the northern parts of Nigeria) are now in deplorable condition, notwithstanding the federal government’s rekindled determination to resuscitate the nation’s rail transport system.

Presently, the Eastern Rail Lines are not in use and trains no longer ply these routes in moving people and goods in and out of the old Eastern Region; leading to decline in economic activities.

“The deplorable condition of the Eastern Rail Lines of the Nigerian Railways has increased the cost of transportation, commodities and job creation in Nigeria, bearing in mind that modern rail transport system is one of the fastest, safest and easiest means of transporting people and commodities from one destination to another, as well as offering employment to many of the citizens of the country.”

PoliticsBuhari Has Saved APC – Shehu Sani Reacts To Oyegun’s Tenure Elongation by 10Ebisco(op): 7:22am On Mar 28, 2018
Shehu Sani, senator representing Kaduna central has reacted to the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari against tenure extension for the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman and other elected national and state officials of the party.

Buhari on Monday told members of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party that the tenure elongation of Oyegun and others was illegal.

Reacting, Sani in an interview on Channels TV praised President Buhari for saving the party from what he described as a national disaster.

“The intervention of the President, if it was not done, it would have been disastrous for the party. I feel highly relieved.

“So, in every sense of the word, it has saved the party from what would have consumed it at the end of the day.

“If we went ahead with that tenure elongation, and someone from the opposition party goes to court after all the processes of congresses and primaries has been done, the point is that we may end up without a governorship or presidential candidate and without a candidate at all the legislative arm of government.

“On my part, I told him (Buhari) right to his face that as a man who has seen it all, who has achieved so much as a public officer, he should outrightly reject that extension because the members of the party, we are outrightly opposed to it.

“What happened is that there were people who misled the President, misled the party and are trying to use that extension for them to achieve their own end,” he said.

Baba Apesin is based in Arlington in Texas, and as a friend of Pasuma he was among those present to celebrate with his friend.

He died shortly after he tried leaving the scene of the party after stepping into his car.

He got a heart attack during the process of leaving and this immediately claimed his life on Friday 23rd of March 2018.

Apesin’s dead body was found in the car after the fun was over during midnight which is the early hours of Saturday. Assuming he was seen during the heart attack maybe the story would have been a different one by now.dia

PoliticsI Want Nigeria Destroyed – Asari Dokubo by 10Ebisco(op): 8:02am On Mar 27, 2018
Ex-Militant Leader in the Niger Delta and former President of the Ijaw Youth Council, Alhaji Asari Dokub, has denounced the call for a restructured Nigeria, saying the country was better destroyed as an entity.

Speaking at the South-South mega rally of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital on Saturday, the fiery ex-militant said God did not make a mistake by creating him an Ijaw man and not a Nigerian.

According to him, there’s nothing to restructure in Nigeria as it’s being propounded by the South West, the South East and the Middle Belt leaders, but a total disintegration of the forced conglomerate.

He said there was nothing to discuss about Nigeria, noting that of Chief Edwin Clark could be ignored in spite of his track records as an elder statesman by the northern oligarchs, who was he, Asari-Dokubo, to stand before them.

He opined that the only way is what the Holy Book says: “the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force,” and so the people from other regions should stand up against the tyranny and subjugation of the northern oligarchy to obtain their freedom.

The founder of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force bemoaned a situation where “slaves are riding on horsebacks and princes are walking on foot,” as the irony that has befallen the southerners of the country.

“That is what describes us. My belief is this: when the enemies shall come in like a flood against us, we shall stand up together shoulder to shoulder, arms to arms and say finally “you cannot cross this line.”

Asari-Dokubo, however, stated that since the north would not subscribe to restructuring, in spite of its advantages, it cannot be railroaded into buying into the idea.

PoliticsNigeria In Trouble Under Me – Buhari Finally Admits by 10Ebisco(op): 11:23pm On Mar 26, 2018
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday admitted that Nigeria has been turbulent since he came on board in 2015.

The president made this comment while inaugurating the Food Security Council chaired by him.

At the inauguration, the president spoke about Nigeria’s “very turbulent” journey in the past three years, the period of his administration.

Read the full speech below.

“Two weeks ago, I announced my intention to establish and chair a presidential level committee that focuses on food security, I am happy that today it has become a reality.

“Nigeria’s journey in the last three (3) years, has been a very turbulent one. The country’s need for critical job creating sectors which has been ignored for decades is now beginning to yield results.

“We introduced the National Social Investment Programmes targeting millions of Nigerians who are living from hand to mouth.

“We launched agricultural programmes focusing on import substitution, job creation and rural development thereby bringing socio-economic transformation to the millions of citizens living in some of the most remote rural parts of our country.

“We commenced the long term Pollution Remediation Projects in the Niger Delta with the hope of restoring dignity and normalcy to the millions of Nigerians impacted by decades of pollution in their communities. Fishing and farming will resume once blighted areas are rehabilitated.

“We intensified our participation in the Lake Chad Basin Commission with the goal of reversing the shrinkage of the lake, which impacts the livelihoods of over 45 million farmers, herdsmen and fishermen in the LCBC countries.

“We issued the first ever green bond that will act as a catalyst for investments in renewable energy and afforestation projects. This was oversubscribed, sharing market confidence in the country and our government.

“We established the Agro Rangers Unit within the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps to protect the billions of naira of investments recorded in Nigeria’s agricultural sector across the country.

“We continued to equip the Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency to fight maritime criminals such as pirates and sea robbers who adversely impact offshore and inland fishing activities in our waters.

“These programmes and many more, have started yielding results and if sustained, will transform the lives of millions of Nigerians across the country.

“We are well aware that the full results will not be felt or seen overnight. The journey is long. It is therefore our collective duty to ensure the actual and potential positive impacts of these programmes are sustained, improved and expanded.

“A key mandate of the Food Security Council is to continuously assess and enhance these infant, but impactful programmes, thereby guaranteeing they achieve their full potential.

“We shall also develop new programmes and projects that will protect and indeed, create more jobs in farming, fisheries, animal husbandry and forestry.

“As we all know, land is use for farming, grazing and forestry, Water is used for irrigation, livestock sustenance and fishing. Therefore, any strategy for land and water management must take into account the interconnectivity of all these key sectors to ensure equity and sustainability.

“We will also not lose sight of the other issues that will impact our food production ambitions such as; Population growth, Urbanisation, IndustrialisationRural Infrastructure Development andClimate Change.

“These factors will also stress and stretch our land and water resources. This means we must invest in research and development to enhance yields and outputs.

“Moreover, we are not insulated from Global and Regional events. Accordingly we develop local programs, but not lose sight of events from a far and their impact on us. Specifically, issues such as smuggling and dumping, which is our responsibility to ensure we develop and enforce strategies to protect Nigeria from these illegal and unhealthy imports.

“The Council includes Governors representing the six (6) geopolitical zones. Some geopolitical zones have similar Eco climatic conditions. The council is therefore a platform to further enhance the collaboration between the federal and state governments. We shall share success stories and collaborate to address common threats.

“We will also engage key stakeholders representing the core sectors of the Food Value Chain. Regular consultations will be held with investors, development partners, financiers, academia and our friends and allies abroad.

“ Our deliberations will look into all the issues and our decisions will be implementable and impactful. We shall stay focused, first and foremost on securing our food requirements and employment for our people, especially the youth. We shall feed ourselves and build an inclusive Nigeria for ourselves and for future generations.”

Politics9 Dead, Many Injured As Fire Engulfs Rann Idps Camp by 10Ebisco(op): 6:46pm On Mar 26, 2018
Six weeks after the Islamic militants, Boko Haram attacked Rann in Kala Balge local government area of Borno State, another disaster has hit the internally displaced persons, IDPs, camp.

This is following an outbreak of fire, which killed nine people and injured many others in the camp.

According to Suleiman Ajiya, who spoke with DAILY POST on the development on Monday, the IDPs had been left with nothing after the United Nations withdrew its staff and support from that part of the state.

“Our people have been dying of hunger and starvation since the UN left. There is nothing to eat as the little that is available from government and well meaning Nigerians is not even enough for the women and children.

“There is also no medical care and people are now open to so many diseases due to hunger and starvation in the camp. Also lack of water has been a problem, which the people have been battling with.

“Today, at about 12 noon, there was a fire outbreak. Some people who were down due to hunger and its related sickness were choked. There was no water to fight the fire, thereby living no help for those who were trapped in the fire.

“We lost nine people with several others injured as a result of the fire incident this afternoon. We are calling for help for these people because they are really suffering for now,” Ajiya said.

PoliticsFull Text Of Northern Groups’ Communique On Issues Affecting Region by 10Ebisco(op): 6:11pm On Mar 25, 2018
The Summit of Northern Groups was held at Arewa House, Kaduna on Saturday, 24th March, 2018.

It was convened to assess the security, economic and political circumstances of the North and Northern communities in other parts of Nigeria.

Specifically, it reviewed the worrying state of insecurity “under which virtually all Northerners live”.

It also deliberated the “worsening economic fortunes” of the vast majority of Northerners and the options that are available to the North as it prepares for the next general elections.

Read full text of communique issued at the end of the meeting:

“The Summit noted that in spite of notable successes by the Buhari administration against the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East, many Northern communities still live under its threat. In many other parts of the North, communities are routinely exposed to attacks from shadowy killers, and suspicion and anger at known and suspected killers are pitching Northerners against each other.

Armed bandits terrorize rural communities almost at will, while kidnappings and abductions have assumed alarming notoriety as crimes. The nation’s security and law and order assets are stretched beyond points where they can’t provide even the most elementary confidence and protection of citizens. The North has rarely been so exposed to multiple and varied threats.

The economy of the North continues to deteriorate in spite of the evident willingness of Northerners to work hard and earn legitimate incomes. Its basic infrastructure suffers massive deficits in funding while its growing population starves from lack of critical investment in human capital development. Federal government spending is severely tilted against the North, while most State governments only pay lip service to real development in their states.

Agriculture shows limited glimpses of recovery, but almost entirely through efforts of peasants and antiquated processes. The North is completely de-industrialized, while the rest of the nation moves towards sustainable growth and development. There is no evidence of bold thinking, strong political will and/or serious concern by any leadership at any level to reverse the alarming decline of the Northern economy.

Since 2015, Northerners have occupied positions with the potential to make decisive differences in the economy, security or political fortunes of the region. The hopes that leaders who have exercised power since 2015 will reverse the abuse and neglect of the region in the previous decade have been betrayed. Weak governance, gross insensitivity and unacceptable levels of incompetence have been compounded by battles of attrition in which northerners have sapped each others’ strength.

Weak and incoherent responses to provocations from other parts of the country around the imperatives of re-visiting the foundations and structures of the Nigerian state have created the false image of a North without its own positions beyond survival as the parasite of Nigeria. The historic gains in Northern political unity secured by Northern votes in the 2015 elections have been wasted by the poor management of conflicts between and among Northern communities.

Today Northern communities are erecting barricades against members of other communities, as well as and politicians who have failed to lead and make impacts in lives of the poor and the vulnerable are daily feeding the people with hate and resentment instead of searching for genuine and lasting solutions. In a region with enough resources for every community or trade, our people are now fighting for morsels, while leaders think of new ways to turn our misery into electoral capital.

The Summit, having undertaken a thorough analysis of the state of the North and our communities, therefore:

URGES all leaders, elders and communities to seek peaceful resolutions of conflicts between and among communities. Lives lost, injuries suffered and losses incurred in any community must be redressed firmly and fairly. The roots of co-existence and inter-dependence in all Northern communities are much deeper than the barricades being erected around communities. All persons who are involved in killings and crimes against communities must be brought to book.

DEMANDS immediate and decisive steps to improve the security of lives and economic assets in the North by the federal and state governments. Too many communities are at the mercy of attacks from sundry groups of criminals who appear to have unchallenged access to space and weapons.

APPEALS to Northern Governors and President Muhammadu Buhari to set in motion serious initiatives towards achieving higher levels of trust among Northern communities which is vital for the imperatives of peace and justice.

INSISTS that the routine denial of the rights of the North to its fair share of budgetary allocations by the federal government must cease from the 2018 budget. Northern representatives in the National Assembly must live up to their oaths to protect the rights of their constituencies to equity in the allocation of national resources.

WARNS that no Northern politician should expect to be voted for in the next general election unless they demonstrate a willingness to champion a massive assault on poverty and underdevelopment in the North. In this regard, most political office holders from the North are hereby served notice that they have failed the test to lead the region towards economic recovery and growth.

ASSERTS the rights of all Northerners to examine all options in political choices they will make in 2019. The leadership selection process must be critically interrogated to present the best leader to Nigeria as a whole. No one should take the North for granted, and it is not for sale. It will resist shedding its blood for any candidate, and will critically scrutinize all politicians who will seek our mandate. At this stage, all options are on the table, and politicians who have betrayed the hopes and mandates of our people should be prepared to suffer rejection, in the same manner the votes of the North rejected the attempt to continue with impunity, corruption and indifference of the previous regime.

ADVISES all Northerners to be alert to plans to weaken the region through the manipulation of our fears and vulnerability and our ethno-religious differences. There must be vigilant scrutiny of opportunities for manipulation by outsiders of our present challenges. We must stand up and unite against those who kill villagers in Kogi, in Zamfara, in Benue, in Adamawa, in Borno, in Kaduna, in Taraba and in every village or town. No Northern blood is more precious than others, and we can only heal if we adopt common positions to finding solutions to our problems.

INVITES attention of the rest of Nigeria that the North knows its interests and place and will defend them in the context of Nigeria. Our people are willing and eager to put our union as a nation on the table and discuss with other Nigerians the relative values of ALL options and negotiate them with responsibility and respect.

CAUTIONS the Presidency and members of the National Assembly and Governors to resist the temptation to abuse the political process in pursuit of their personal ambitions.

COMMITS to sustaining the strong interests behind this Summit through other activities and actions which will strengthen Northern unity and prepare it to extract the maximum benefits from the 2019 elections.

The Summit welcomes the release of the Dapchi girls, and urges the government to intensify efforts to secure the release of all other abducted Nigerians. It calls on the government to ensure that no abductions occur again, and all communities are sufficiently protected and young Nigerians are free to acquire education without fear.”

Nigerian singer Small Doctor has been accused by another singer for poisoning his drink. The singer went further to share quite a lengthy post on Instagram. Thereby calling out Small Doctor and another friend while narrating his ordeal. Small Doctor has, however, not replied to his post.

His words

“I’ve been praying against enemies within, while I never knew they are the same sets of people I wine and dine with, I never knew you’ve been working on my map way before I land in Naija, All I showed you was love but all you wish me is death.

You already making name for yourself in the industry but still, you’ve been having sleepless night on how to blackmail and get me killed all long while I’ve been overseas watching Nat geo wild. I can still remember the statement you made at Unlimited studio a few years back. That any of your friends that plan to do music and make it big will automatically turn to your no1 enemy.

Right from day one, I’ve never seen you as a competition and all I always wish you is success. But I never knew all you wish for me is death because of the envy and jealousy in you. And you not wanting to see another man around you shine.

The last time you came to SA for a show, I was the one who drove you in my Mercedes from your Morning side Hotel to your show in Centurion. 2 weeks before I came to Naija you chatted me up which I later called you on phone then you asked me when I’ll be back in Naija I told u I should be back in a week to 2 weeks’ time, the first question you asked me was what am coming to do! You don’t even want me to come back home.”

On eventually getting to Naija, I sent you messages to let you know I’m around but the anger in the way you responded to the Dm(s) is so obvious, Aside that I called u several times and I also contacted one of our friend Ebay to reach you on my behalf but you ignored all my calls which I thought maybe you’re busy in studio or something not knowing both of you are into this together, Since then you’ve been trying everything to avoid seeing me, playing dirty pranks and plotting your evil to the extent that you set people around my hotel to take pictures and make videos of all my activities and moments so bad to the fact that whenever I’m chilling with my so called friend Ebay in his area and I ask him like where can I ease myself he will point to a spot which I can use which I never knew someone is there already to capture me while am easing myself for real?

I was out one day with this my same nigga when he told me that small doctor said we should come block him at my mama house, on getting there, Small doctor sat on his car bonnet, he stand up and walk towards my mama saying “Mama Jurji ama ri eni ti o ma ko ko se o rire ninu emi ati omo yin” like he will see who will succeed first among him and I repeatedly saying it aloud.

I didn’t even say a word because I thought he was just being playful because of the mind I’ve got for him but and I never knew he meant everything he said that faithful day. You guys made several attempts on my life but God was just merciful, from the day ebay gave me a poisoned Hennessy at small doctor’s house to drink to the day you maneuvered dangerously at high speed between two big moving trucks in an attempt to crash side of the car which I was sitting at against the truck.

I already know all your evil plans against me which is fueled by envy and hatred but you have failed which still inspired me to write a song and am dropping that song in the next 48 hours ‘1000 Friends to foe’. So you can start posting the photos and videos you captured secretly.

You may think you can just do shits like that and go scot free nah believe me, I’m just taking my time. You all will get tired I put that on the Bible”.

CelebritiesDavido And Small Doctor Are Guity Of Copyright Infringement Says King Sunny Ade by 10Ebisco(op): 10:31pm On Mar 20, 2018
Nigerian popular singer and the 30 Billion Gang Boss Davido alongside Small Doctor have been accused of using lyrics without the consent of the original author.

The manager of King Sunny Ade who is identified as Clement Ige has expressed his dissatisfaction towards the action the duo singer did without seeking permission to use KSA lyrics.

Ige has been employed to Sunny Ade for over forty years now and he surely knows what is boss owns.

Speaking at Goldberg’s Ariya Repete Roundtable discourse in Abeokuta, the manager revealed that these young generations are just full of their self.

He said; “They use English language to speak Yoruba. Like the young man who sang ‘makole marale.’ How do you build house before buying a land?” he asked. Many of them don’t give credit to the original composer of the song they adopt. They just sing it without seeking permission. That’s a copyright infringement. It’s not done in developed societies.

Till today, Small Doctor didn’t get our permission before and after singing 'ijó tí m’ojó l’àná, tí wọn n’pariwo, oni nkọ, ola nkọ.' And many of them are guilty of this. The Davido that used Sunny’s lyrics in his song didn’t even get it right and that’s because he didn’t ask for permission. If he did, we would have corrected him. What is ‘Kuluso ewe, agbagba ewe…?' The line is actually ‘Seleru agbo, agbara agbo’. I know because I co-wrote the song!”

It was earlier reported that Davido is not responsible for writing many of his hit track that he only pays to acquire them.

Prophet Dr Faleyimu Olagoroye is a popular man of God and the founder of Mountain of Blessing and Miracle Church of Christ. One of which is the sudden death of the numerous showbiz stars that the industry experienced in 2016, especially in the Yoruba Movie genre of Nollywood.

The man of God revealed a lot this year to our source but what concerns us most is that of our 5 Nollywood stars whom he said will die this year and this is very scaring.

According to him, “the Nollywood industry should be prayerful, so that they won’t lose 5 stars among them this year”.

” Saheed Osupa, Obesere and Pasuma should also engage in serious prayers against hardship this year. God is showing me that hard time will force them to be selling their properties”.

“Alot of Actors will face hardship especially the women among them. Rich men will decieve them to leave their marriage and at the end, they go back to square one”.

“Why this will happen is because some of them don’t believe in God, they belong to many secret societies. Those who are for God would not witness the hardship. The identities of the 5 that will die weren’t revealed to me”, he said.
