It looks doctòred and fake like a Fraudulent School Admissión list.

Taiye Taiye doesn't merit the list and many others who still play Football.

Yisu Shofóluwe repeated twice.

Nò sense in this your list at all.

Am sòrry !

omochefran: please with all due respect i do not think this list is from super sports i believe they can do a better job. whoever is running this nairaland should also have it at the back of his mind that CREDIBILITY is very important so pls verify your sources well well.

It still doesnt change the fact that he spent most of his career on the bench

One thing I could guarantee is that they wont top the list of best players for Mexico, Bosnia and Morocco...

Chicharito is still young, Dzeko was a starter through-out is whole career at Wolfsburg, Tarabat was a starter under both Neil Warnock and Uncle Arry.. Kanu on the other hand was a bench warmer for Kliveurt and Litmann at Ajax, Bench warmer at Inter Milan, at Arsenal he was brought before Anelka left and found himself on the bench the moment they bought Henry, at West Brom they looked up to him to be the main striker but he body couldnt take it at Portsmouth the same as West Brom that the manager said that he looked 55 years

Chicharito is the best Mexican player currently and Dzeko is the best Bosnian player currently and captain of the Bosnian national team

Edin Dzeko has been Bosnian footballer of the year for the past 3 yrs including 2011/2012 when he was a sub for Man City

While regulars for their clubs like Salihovic, Vedad Ibisevic., Miralem Pjanic, Spahic, Misimovic who are super regulars for their clubs arent considered

in the 1995/96 season Kanu started 40 games for Ajax scoring 26 goals, In 1999/2000 Kanu started 24 league games for Arsenal and in Portsmouth 2006/2007 started 32 games

Austyn316: Is Taribo West not one of our greatest players? How many Nigerians played for both AC Milan and Inter Milan. At a point Taribo was regarded as the best defender in the world. How can Taiwo make the list and Taribo West is not on it?

Errrrrrrrmmmm by whom If I may ask?

Is this another moronic question?

Jay Jay floors him anyday.

Jay Jay has more skills and more impact on a team than Kanu who does well on the bench most times.
Okocha was good but a glorified juggler whose productivity was questionable (scored some nice goals against cameroon tho). He only became more of a team player much later in his career. Remember France 98 against Denmark when he was busy advertising skills at the expense of the team. Or when he used to take those annoying a$$ shots and free kicks shoot em over the bar into row Z and smile like a freshly slaughtered goat while spitting kelebe on the pitch at the same damn time
I'd still pick him over Kanu in terms of achievements and performances for the SE tho

Where is Emma Osigwe?
Where is Alloysius blockbuster Atuegbu?
Where is Moses Otolorin?
Moses Otolorin scored the goals that won IICC shooting stars the defunct Africa Cup winners cup in 1976. He was a goal machine.
Where is Kunle Awesu?
Where is Christian Madu?
Does it mean those who did not play pro football or do not have press men to trumpet their achievements should not be on this list?
.u must be an old man to sabi all dis name.anyway kudos to u for remembering those names

smiley smileyBut seriously I agree Kanu deserves to be number one over okocha for the honours won.At the Nigerian Scene Okocha played for Rangers (88-92)no trophy, Kanu after leaving School in 1991 joined Iwuanyanwu Nationale in 1992, won the Nigerian Premier League in 1993, the same year he won world U-17 gold and joint highest goal scorer with Wilson Oruma. With Ajax he won gold and silver of UEFA Champions League in 1994 and 1995. At Tunisia 94 Okocha won a gold medal. At Atlanta Olympics both Kanu and Okocha won soccer gold. In 1996 and 1999 Kanu won African Player of the year, Okocha came 2nd to 1998 African Player of the year Mustapha Haji of Morrocco and 2nd again to Samuel Etoh in 2004. Again Kanu won the Barclays Premier League with Arsenal in 1999 and an FA cup as well. His Heart foundation has raised millions of pounds and have saved many Nigerian lives. Kanu is clearly the most decorated player in Nigerian soccer history, the only trophy okocha won that kanu didn't was the 1994 Nations cup at Tunis.

angry I diagree with sequence for some of the names such as Oliseh coming before Yekini who if not for anything has scored the highest number of goals for the National team, won the Nations cup of 94, 2nd highest goal scorer behind Maja at Algiers 90, highest goal scorer at Senegal 92, Tunisia 94 and highest goal scorer in the African zone USA 94 world cup qualifying series, Yekini was African player of the year 1993. Oliseh played for the National team for about 8 years (1994-2002) but because of his attitude to representative of the Minister of sports in 2002 he was not allowed to participate in the 2002 world cup. Yekini played for the National team for much longer (1984-1998). Yekini was also the highest goal score for when he was with African Sports of Cote'Ivoire. With a soccer carrear spaning 24 years (1981-2005) Yekini has played professional soccer in Nigeria, Cote Ivoire, Portugal, Switzerland,Greece etc.

Even Victor Ikpeba (1997 African Player of the year)should be counted before Oliseh

Taye Taiwo in the list and Chidi Nwanu is not there, this must be a joke!!!!

How many years has Mikel played to be named among the greats
There is no how on earth Nwanu will be on a list of great Nigeria players, he won't even make top 100. He was a mere bit part player.

I am happy I found this thread again.
