What Is The Power Situation In Your Area? by stolenstone: 8:39am On Jan 26, 2013
This week, a directive was issued out by a top official in PHCN that the south-eastern states (Imo, Abia, Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi) as well as some parts of Edo state will be having total black out this weekend (saturday and sunday) due to some ongoing maintenance work in the national grid supplying that subregion. So please, nairalanders leaving in these states, what's the power situation in your area currently? Umuahia Abia state, there's currently no light. Lets hear from you

Well, it seems true cos they just took the light few minutes ago. .Am in enugu and I must say Power did improve significantly. Yesterday, we had power outage for less than 2hrs throughout the whole day.

In Aba Abia state, we ve 24hrs Electricity. Our God sent Gov T. A. Orji promised us light and he delivered. It is 4 dis reasons dat we Abians wil ever remain indebted to Gov. Orji who inspite of d huge debt he incured from d past administration, was still able to deliver in terms of Electricity and infrastructure. He is the only Gov who has painstakingly rehabilitated all major roads in Aba dat has brought joy in the heart of the people of Aba. On behalf of Abians and the our good party PDP, I say thank you sir.

Jesus Christ of Nazareth! All my life I have never seen such hypocritical lie!
Which Aba has 24hrs power supply? You can really lie!

I am in Aba, world bank housing estate- MCC road and the was no light since about 9pm yesterday.
Aba gets just about 5hrs of light daily and not at a stretch.
Very miserly.

Igbos and lies - they are inseparable. I am in Lagos and as I am typing, I am running on generator and I have been on generator since 5am. It is like this everyday and on /off at times. Where is the improvent? Only in yiboland you will see constant supply because they want to tell nigeria the fraud they voted for is working? There is 24/7 power supply in yiboland, the land of fraud.

We only saw some semblance of NEPA during the public holiday, most of the entire week its been hellish - heat and darkness mixed together in the University of Port Harcourt area.
Re: What Is The Power Situation In Your Area? by Wadeoye(m): 11:35am On Jan 26, 2013
Nothing has improved. You can see the comments - worse here, good there, bad there. Power in Nigeria has always been like this. There has never been a time the entire country is in total darkness. Definitely some people will have while majority dont have.

I have not been to Nigeria in like 4 months now. However, I have to note that the only people who seem to be getting this "uninterrupted" power supply is Fraudulent Nigerian, Taharqa and the rest of the gang.

Do you guys have a special line to your homes? I want to know so I can plan my next Nigeria trip to a place where I get steady electricity.

I reside in Ketu Shangisha/Ikosi axis and they rarely take the light for more than 30mins a day. Quite impressive eh? Once d light goes, I don't bother getting up cos I know it will soon be back.
