PointB, when is nomination ending? I will nominate for the sake of making it competitive. I will vote the candidate that promises to deliver using diplomacy and a little bit of aggressiveness mixed with civility not forgetting to check contestants track records. Looking forward to a very close race. |

@PointB and 9ja_I_hail. I observed that certain people are objecting to the nomination of legitimate candidates and you guys are implying that you may look into their objections. Well, inasmuch as those Candidates are Igbo and have met all the criteria in the "constitution", don't waste your time on objections raised by dullards like Let these people show their objections by not voting for Okija or Onlytruth if they so wish. Its time to get the voting process going. I also nominate Dalu o. |

Re: Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland By-Election 2013: Nominations by manny4life(m): 12:44pm On Feb 23, 2013 |
Eze Promoe: I went through that thread till it was dead unless if there's any other development, however, after PointB opened this thread, that thread was literally done with. His reason for resigning was not because Malawian pressure or moved motion against him, he identified three reasons why he was leaving and def not the shenanigans that happened that night. He's reasons for leaving was understandable though I expected that he toughen it out, but if he wanted to leave and it was the most appropriate thing to do, then he did what's best. I'm in no position to call anyone back, even Onlytruth stated that he did ask him "behind the scene" to stay on and put the house in order, however, it's rather unfortunate that his mind was already made. Look man, I don't like the events of things but things has happened, and best is dust yourself and move on. Personally I did not like the turn of events, I was one of few who asked for patience but was rather looked as a (), I believe Odumchi will move onto greater challenges as the year(s) goes by. Once a milk has spilled, you can't continuously cry about it, time to move on. Personally, I want to get this process over with so we can forge ahead. If the people want Alex, then let's support the man, unfortunately, Ogugua88 my sister cannot take the responsibility and you know why...I cannot speak nor speculate for Onlytruth, though he may have had his shortcomings, but judge not a man by his words but by his actions. I don't understand how you mean take us backwards, well then, it's your opinion and how you feel, and the Constitution gives you a right to oppose him, so I cannot hold it back against you. |
Re: Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland By-Election 2013: Nominations by Dede1(m): 1:02pm On Feb 23, 2013 |
Okija_juju: As a matter of fact, majority has been found to be wrong more times than not. However, the issue of majority and minority is centered on maturity, advancement and social decorum. It is clearly an essence of irresponsibility for a stark minority to impose its political models on majority. I usually suggest to minority to abstain from the process. I have abstained from such situation. I usually do not give ratazz how a person decides to spell words. However, in the case of Ikwere Militant, he\she flunked the common act of human decency by asking if he\she is allowed to participate in a process where only qualification is being Igbo. Well, I guess he\she doubted who he\she really was. |

My reason has always been that the aim of a leader in an online or offline forum as this one should be to guide, represent and defend a people one identifies him/herself with, also to listen to the people understand their needs, work, act and defend their interest first before any of his personal and selfish interest. A person whose ethnicity and loyalty are questionable due to his gross ignorance and lack of respect for the people he preptends to belong to, and with zero positive contributions to the same community he is gunning to be their leader except making troubles here and their without good reason. The above and many more I believe should render such person disqualified to contest the leadership. Thanks. 9ja_I_hail: |

Eze Promoe: Mazi, Ijikwa Achu Buru? Eze Ndigbo Nke Abua of Nairaland in his infinite wisdom suddenly abdicated his throne. If you had any axe to grind, it is with Eze Ndigbo Nke Abua who insulted the collective wisdom of people who crowned him "Eze" by sudden abdication. As we are debating this issue now, I do not know if the Eze Ndigbo Nke Abua is still in the community or whether he has left town too. My people say that ”Echiche echere gbuo madu echegiya abali abua”. |

Nna men!! Nka di kwa egwu!! So let me ask how you have defended Ndi Igbo biko nu!? So because I don't share popular sentiments on Biafra, Late Odimegwu, Okorocha and Massob makes me a non-Igbo defender. If so, then that shows that you have a one track mind. To every issue, there alwasy is more than one way of looking at it. Like I informed Dede1, majority opinion does not necessarily translate to the best opinion. In Igboland, we don't have a herd mentality. Every man has a voice and is free to air them. My ethinicity!! Hmm! I will have to be cautious in my reponse here lest I make some inflammatory statements. I am from Agukwu Nri in Anaocha LGA of Anambra State. Go and ask your grandparents about Agukwu Nri. That is the ancestral home of Ndi Igbo nine no na uwa a. In terms of linage, it doesn't get any closer than that. Ask Nri Priest. I have been at the forefront of the fight to stop the malicious assalut on Ndi igbos on Nairaland and have several bans to prove it. That mu na my Nwannes have fights on matters affecting us does not means I am not igbo. Anyways, I don't have to prove anything to you or anyone, as far as Nairaland is concerned, everyone is only as good as who they say they are. You feel I am not Igbo, I also feel that ibu onye Yoruba, and I say this based on your one track mindedness which I feel is very unbecoming of a pure blooded Igbo man. Sue me! I am Okija Juju, the Eze Mmuo 1 of Nairaland. And I am running for the position of Eze Ndi igbo Gburugburu 3 of Nairaland. Deal with it! Thanks! 1 Like |
