NIMC Jobs: Over 150,000 Nigerians Applied

March 8, 2013

Job Description

OVER 150,000 unemployed graduates are jostling for recruitment into the services of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

The commission, in an effort to boost its staff strength, recently conducted aptitude test in six locations spread across the country.

According to the Director, Corporate Communication, Mr Anthony Okwudiafor, over 150,000 unemployed Nigerians responded to the recruitment advertorials, which appeared in six national dailies.

He noted that the examination, which covered questions in current affairs, Mathematics and English, was essentially computer-based.

The purpose of this, according to the Director, Human Capital Management, Ms Winifred Ojeih, was to provide a level playing field for all qualified Nigerians.

She said all the applicants had equal opportunity of working in the commission once they excelled in the aptitude test and subsequent oral interview sessions scheduled for this month.

Meanwhile, the Director General and Chief Executive of NIMC, Mr Chris Onyemenam, has warned applicants not to offer money to anybody in order to secure employment.

Onyemenam, who said the NIMC jobs are not for said, added that if anyone was caught either receiving or giving money, such would be handed over to the law enforcement agencies for prosecution.

New Federal workers’ pay: Minimum — N17,000/month : Maximum — N453,000/month – Daily Trust

By Bunmi Awolusi  /   July 12, 2010  /   No Comments

Beginning from this month, the least paid Federal Government worker would be receiving a monthly salary of N17,073 while his highest paid counterpart is to get N453,444, according to details of the new pay package released in Abuja by the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission.

In a circular dated July 1, a copy of which was exclusively obtained by Daily Trust in Abuja at the weekend, the commission said the new salary structure, already approved by President Goodluck Jonathan, was coming with a condition that workers would improve their productivity and conduct.

A table of the reviewed Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure (CONPSS) attached to the circular shows that the least paid worker on Grade Level 01/1 would receive a salary of N204,878 per annum, while an officer on Grade Level 17/9, which is the highest grade in the public service, would take home N5,441,336 per annum.

The table shows that N208,206 is now the annual salary for a worker on grade level 02/1; N211,048 for level 03/1; N221,072 for level 04/1; N250,499 for level 05/1; N305,429 for level 06/1; N507,165 for level 07/1; N769,856 for level 08/1; N853,384 for level 09/1; N903,711 for level 10/1; N1,042,408 for level 12/1; N1,163,433 for level 13/1; N1,285,018 for level 14/1; N1,767,816 for level 15/1; N2,188,877 for level 16/1; and N4,172,860 for level 17/1.

Ikie: ...ok 50% is a bit much...but 1% or 50%, you get my drift...this is just one way to look at it...besides considering voters registration as a reliable database is not it...cos we all know that 9ja hasn't been very efficient in data storage...i don't know how true, but there was a RUMOR that there'll be another registration process for the next election...so if this is so, what happened to the last registration...note i said rumor...
yes dats true we abt2 start another registration for inec ,we will start by nextweek..

Its not true.. The real reason why NIMC's DG sacked the workers wasn't becos of wages but to introduce IT learned/graduate trainees who have competent skill and will produce positive result for the new I'd cards which will be issued to Nigerians. Tell me how will an illiterate produce pin coded ID for literate citizens?
Re: Share Your NIMC Test Experience by azpekuliar: 1:47am On Mar 17, 2013
Wrote mine yesterday afternoon at the ETC, UNILAG. 50 mins. Just like earlier posters have said, the questions composed of Verbal reasoning, Quantitative reasoning, Logic and General knowledge.
My only grouse is that after finishing with 8 mins left on the clock, for some strange reason the test software 'prevented' me from reviewing my answers in the verbal and quantitative reasoning sections. It kept cycling me through my answers in the logic and general knowledge sections. I found it upsetting, as I would have loved to review my answers especially in that quantitative reasoning section.
Hope I scale through to the next stage. Best of luck to other applicants.
