Na by force? Go and rent a hall anytime you guys want to meet to discuss various bedroom styles of pleasing your President husbands. Na wah.
Or use of marabouts to chase away young hustlers from the presidents bed and how to look at Ministers who use their office to campiagn for the presidential bed.
Put that billion in the National Hospital Abuja and see what good it will do. SMH at this Perm Sec. Dumb moves.

Please can someone educate me on this N4B building project. I have always ignored it but based on my guess; is that where Jona is now living can not him and his wife? Or do they need extra room space which the entire rooms in Aso rock can not provide? Please what is going on in our dear country Nigeria?

take dat: This Rent-A-Crowd of thousands to advance political agenda and the NGO's turned professional crowd renters, with the poverty stricken crowd whose values and principles have been compromised, all with no choice but to embrace their conquerors(rogue leaders) for peanuts depicts the dysfunctional state we are in.
To Dame Jonathan: I wonder if some people truly deserve a second chance at life?! The FCT minister is just a lightfingered charlatan!

Patience wants to use the 4 billion to build the headquarters of the African First Ladies Meeting or something stupid.WHat a waste of public funds, a building that wont generate income or create jobs, how will it be maintained in years to come? Sometimes this country depresses my soul

These are dress rehearsal to what will happen in 2014/15.That was why that good for nothing fellow Okupe said Nigerians will ask for Jonathan in 2015.At times i think there has been little or no change in Nigeria since the day of one million march for Abacha.Unemployment, poverty and the baba, ignorance is the bane of this country.Maryam Abacha did not need to rent a crowd before she built the now national hospital. If the project had been sensible it will have enjoy the support of all.

Na to kidnap this women give dem 12 strokes of cane each go make them not to attend such useless protest.

What i mean is that there is level of curruption to be measure by regions.
If Jona region doesnt belong to this class of curuption, there wont be staging of protest in support of anti people project. This show the worth of the president when it come to curruption, and his family wont say anything because is truely reflecting what they stand for.
hope i open your eyes.
Will agree with you to some extend. I think jona could not have allowed this! That mission house is of no significance to nigerians. I expected jona to try to stop this. Am sure this is the handiwork of people to eat their share from the government. Am sure jona will stop this since protests in support of government are usually not accepted by the masses. Those who are behind this protest should remember that one day God will put them to shame. May jona not disappoint some of us. He should stop any protest organise by government functionaries.

Dear Nairalanders, it's clear that some people are just out to paint the first lady or rather the Jonathan's administration bad and ugly. This issue of Patience Jonathan's 4billion naira budget proposal for her pet project is completely false and misleading. The truth is that Africa first ladies during the tenure of Turai Yaradua, african first ladies after a meeting in Congo in 2008 agreed to have their secretariat for peace situated in Abuja Nigeria and the first ldy agreed and sent the proposal to aso villa for endorsement but unfortunately her husband's demise didn't let that project to be considered till last year when after a meeting of the africa first ladies, they once again told the current Nigerian first lady of their previous agreement for the africa first lady mission building secretariat to be sited in Abuja.
The first lady sent the proposal once again to the villa and it is enshrined in the budget of the FCT and the national assembly will have the power to modify the estimation or approve it.
Let it be noted that this is not a personaal building or property or even a personal pet project of Nigeria first lady but rather a continental building meant for the frica first ladies and other international/regional bodies (e.g unesco, unicef, unido etc) concerned
With peace and conflict management and other health concerns.
The project will just be like the national hostpital abuja that was championed by Mrs Maryam Abacha or the others championed by late mrs babangida as a first lady.
Some people are sensationalizing this project just to paint the GEJ administration as "I don't know" so as to gain cheap political goals for themselves.
Once again this 4billion naira does not exist in2013 budget as Patience jonathan pet project money...go find out yourselves and don't believe every social media story u see

Personally, i am not against building this edifice but my grouse is with the mode of sourcing the funds. i.e sneaking it into the FCT budget. I believe that such a project should be funded by soliciting for donations from individuals and organisations across Africa. what the first lady should be doing is use her husband influence to achieve this. just my simple way of seeing this; i might be wrong....

For me, this demonstrations area big disappointment. Jona and his government should always play the responsible part. He should not form part of those governments that will rent people to do this. He should quickly call those goats to stop this act immediately. Some of us have always look this government as more matured and more reponsible than others. If he now decides to act like those irresponsible and unreasonable governments like in the past. He should be ready for our reversed prayers. That mission house should not be mentioned all.

These pictures show the very reason why 2015 cannot come fast enouugh. you cannot hide poverty and illiteracy.. you can see it very much in the faces of the protesters. I cannot even remember the equally morally bankrupt obasanjo doing this. I thought the "rent a crowd" mentality to agitate to frivolities and illegalities ended with Abacha. I was wrong. According to wikileak, jonathan goodluck cannot control his wife.he sure cannot control the country .welcome to the banana republic of bakassi ;sorry nigeria. It used to be that the leaders did bad things. Now, there is no place for the truth.

My dear no mind them. Let's start with how much was used to buy and print those t-shirts/caps and placards they are carrying, then tell me how rich are the disabled and so called market women to spend that amount on a misguided venture that will bear them no benefit. All this scenario is what has kept where we are but I take consolation on the fact that no matter how bad a leader is, there are still people that are benefitting from such leaders but a day will come when they will all pay.
sweet_gala: Sad happenings. This people are not fighting to have an hospital befitting of their community to serve them, or better roads to ward off death but a building to entertain their oppressors.

What association is this? nairalanders and Nigerian twitterati? The women carrying the banners dont even look like youths. I'm sure they don't even know what social network is SMH. The people who rented this crowd for madam Patience are indeed very daft.

The same script is been run over and over.

By next year, more of this kind of protests will be staged asking for Jonathan to contest again.

God always has a way to give us a chance to get it right, but the masses want t be held captive.

The politicians have won!

The masses have been so brainwashed and battered that WE are now the problem.
