I got a job a Dangote then for 150k in his cement company. The HR where trying to scam me. They said they will tell me the location of the job after I accepted the offer and quit my job for an interview that was in Lagos oooo. Unknown to me, the job was in Benue with no relocation allowance. But unknown to the mumu HR, me sef na lag boy through and through. I accepted the offer and didnt quit my job. He was sha asking me if I have put him my quit notice so I won't have a choice but to go with them. I told him yes. Once I found out the job was in Benue with no relocation allowance I dulled them and went back to my job. The HR was now calling me to curse me that I held up their spot. Awon oloshi user company. Last last all the candidates that took up the offer regreted it later. Even Dangote staffs there were whispering to me on the day of the interview that the job is a useless job oooo that I should better look at other options. Dangote na just Slave master. Nothing else. Anyway I'm in America now collecting dollars. Nothing concern me and him yeye slave business.

Two things I have noticed. Politicians and Big businessmen in Nigeria engage in "PR" or propaganda to build narratives. Many are working for them on Nairaland and twitter and other social medica. Also, many Nigerians are used to sufferhead. Dont waste your time fighting for Nigerians or what is good or moral or right. In the end evil always wins in Nigeria. Being good is a waste of time.

Dangote is looking for people he will pay peanuts, not conform to any labor law and free to fire anytime if they get out of line. He will have been a good and successful slavemaster.

Imagine having equal votes with someone with this kind of thinking. Many Nigerians go to school but are uneducated. A workers union is meant to protect the rights of workers in the union and is recognized by our labor laws and not to build refineries. Nigerians are so used to being mistreated at work that they can't even phantom that they should have rights to fair treatment.

I remember when he went on TV and told them to patronize him even when his fuel is superior quality and cheaper than imported one but because of their greed and exploitation of Nigerians that has been happening for years, they allowed 3million barrels of fuel to remain in storage for months.....all because they had trailers to distribute round the country.

Now the man has brought in 4,000 tankers to distribute fuel free of charge for Nigerians, they're foaming in the mouth, some people are saying monopoly.......when it is as clear as daylight that he offered them a seat at the table which they vehemently rejected.

It's a lie. Dangotes fuel is more expensive. Maybe it's purer. But it's more expensive. He wants to force Nigerians to have option of only his expensive fuel. He doesn't want to compete with Blended fuel because he knows he will lose.

Dangote is a scammer monopolist. First he told us all the other petrol coming into Nigeria is blended and fake and only his own expensive petrol is pure and unadulterated now he wants to monopolize the whole market. I say, let the importation of blended fuel continue and let Nigerians decide the one they prefer. Is it by force to buy his expensive fuel? Someone that wants to sell the same expensive fuel to us in dollars that Nigerians can't afford while he collected cheap dollars from CBN to build his refinery. Sacked all Nigerian staffs and replace them with Indians.

This tax issue sha. Nigerians are surely going to protest against this. January 2026 will be the D- Day

A Nigerian in the UK with £100k GPB to invest should tie it up in the UK for 3% return yearly ( as ISA has cash investment limit less than 100k) when he can receive perhaps 20% on same return as lender, via treasury bills, to the Nigerian Government?

Why do you ignore the above, which is proven, to be talking of tax that is even inconsequential when we look at the potentials for Nigerians to bilaterally gain from and assist their nation of origin while residing and working in the diaspora?

Until you lose your money from falling naira over time. The diasporans that stored their money as Naira (including me) before 2023 are still crying today after the naira was devalued by over 300 percent. Never again will I fall for such a mistake.

Once it comes to tax, you people know how to compare Nigeria to America but when we talk about economic development and infrastructure you will keep shut. Scammers. Security engineer - $150k

If employers pay 100K to the govt and pay between $40k - $100k to the skilled workers, they will still save between $10k - $25k. How is this not enough if they’re not greedy? The choice is theirs.

Okay ooo. I hear you. I'm in my late 30s. I have also applied for all these recruitments too. Is it NNPC or NLNG? With hope and faith. Last last, some people that did not even go through the recruitment process where the ones that got these positions. Don't deceive yourself. That is how Nigeria works for public sector jobs. You're better off applying to private sector jobs where there is still some merit. I noticed this in my youth and I left the country for good.
