Nairaland mods need to do better. The Oba didnt ban the event. Some people cannot just read to understand. He forwarded a letter sent to him to theLagos State Commisioner of Tourism to take appropriate action. |
Same Dangote that was saying imported fuel is bad for their cars. Only is own fuel is the purest. Whereas he just wants to monopolize the market. Nigerians have been using imported fuel for ages and we didn't die. If Dangote refinery cannot compete with imported fuel, then he should get out. He wants to be the sole distributor of fuel in Nigeria just like his friend Otedola did with imported Diesel. |
I got a job a Dangote then for 150k in his cement company. The HR where trying to scam me. They said they will tell me the location of the job after I accepted the offer and quit my job for an interview that was in Lagos oooo. Unknown to me, the job was in Benue with no relocation allowance. But unknown to the mumu HR, me sef na lag boy through and through. I accepted the offer and didnt quit my job. He was sha asking me if I have put him my quit notice so I won't have a choice but to go with them. I told him yes. Once I found out the job was in Benue with no relocation allowance I dulled them and went back to my job. The HR was now calling me to curse me that I held up their spot. Awon oloshi user company. Last last all the candidates that took up the offer regreted it later. Even Dangote staffs there were whispering to me on the day of the interview that the job is a useless job oooo that I should better look at other options. Dangote na just Slave master. Nothing else. Anyway I'm in America now collecting dollars. Nothing concern me and him yeye slave business. |
Very stupid country. We dont have electricity, yet you're exorting our gas. Later they will come and say Dangote refinery and tinzzz will benefit the common man. Dey Play oooo.... |
Two things I have noticed. Politicians and Big businessmen in Nigeria engage in "PR" or propaganda to build narratives. Many are working for them on Nairaland and twitter and other social medica. Also, many Nigerians are used to sufferhead. Dont waste your time fighting for Nigerians or what is good or moral or right. In the end evil always wins in Nigeria. Being good is a waste of time. Dangote is looking for people he will pay peanuts, not conform to any labor law and free to fire anytime if they get out of line. He will have been a good and successful slavemaster. |
P1PrinceKT:Imagine having equal votes with someone with this kind of thinking. Many Nigerians go to school but are uneducated. A workers union is meant to protect the rights of workers in the union and is recognized by our labor laws and not to build refineries. Nigerians are so used to being mistreated at work that they can't even phantom that they should have rights to fair treatment. |
P1PrinceKT:Dont waste your time. Most Nigerians are very dumb individuals that worship rich people and their money even when the said rich people don't give a sh.i.t about them. |
I can see their plan. They will start directly withdrawing money from people's bank accounts. This is not right. What this government is doing is criminal but Nigerians are too dumb to protest. They will collect your money as tax and use it to fund politicians expensive lifestyle. |
ViceGovernor:It's a lie. Dangotes fuel is more expensive. Maybe it's purer. But it's more expensive. He wants to force Nigerians to have option of only his expensive fuel. He doesn't want to compete with Blended fuel because he knows he will lose. |
Dangote is a scammer monopolist. First he told us all the other petrol coming into Nigeria is blended and fake and only his own expensive petrol is pure and unadulterated now he wants to monopolize the whole market. I say, let the importation of blended fuel continue and let Nigerians decide the one they prefer. Is it by force to buy his expensive fuel? Someone that wants to sell the same expensive fuel to us in dollars that Nigerians can't afford while he collected cheap dollars from CBN to build his refinery. Sacked all Nigerian staffs and replace them with Indians. |
This tax issue sha. Nigerians are surely going to protest against this. January 2026 will be the D- Day |
WizardOfNG:Until you lose your money from falling naira over time. The diasporans that stored their money as Naira (including me) before 2023 are still crying today after the naira was devalued by over 300 percent. Never again will I fall for such a mistake. |
twilliamx:Once it comes to tax, you people know how to compare Nigeria to America but when we talk about economic development and infrastructure you will keep shut. Scammers. So I will pay tax in America and then pay tax in Nigeria so Tinubu and his fellow Nigerian politicians will have enough money to maintain their long convoys and trips abroad abi. Once I'm able to, I removing all my money from Nigerians banks. Bloody rogues. |
wowcatty:People just come online and type nonsense. Where in America can you survive comfortably with $40k dollars. ![]() |
Small by small, oyinbo don dey craze. |
Tiwa will say anything to sell bring attention to herself and sell her album |
U. S inflation rate is about 3%. Our own is 20%. Let you say the massess should not talk. ![]() |
... |
BuharisBoy:Yinmu. When Tinubu starts sharing dollars in 2027 and bags of rice and palm oil?You will know whether APC is dead or not. |
We need to collect Tax to fix the national Grid. Our famous Tax collector Tinubu can do it. ![]() |
malali:Attorney General and Supreme Court that are in Tinubu's pocket. Dey play ![]() |
sboga:So sad. We that we are in U.S were hoping at least they will qualify and give us small joy to watch them even if they don't go far but alas Naija never gives one joy |
airsaylongcome:Read my last post on the thread. I'm talking about NNPC or NLNG here. I'm not talking about GTs in Nigerian Breweries or the likes. There is no way you're getting a govt job in Nigeria without connections. Let's say the truth here. Of course there are exceptions but it is highly unlikely. Not to talk of juicy position in NNPC or NLNG |
P1PrinceKT:Okay ooo. I hear you. I'm in my late 30s. I have also applied for all these recruitments too. Is it NNPC or NLNG? With hope and faith. Last last, some people that did not even go through the recruitment process where the ones that got these positions. Don't deceive yourself. That is how Nigeria works for public sector jobs. You're better off applying to private sector jobs where there is still some merit. I noticed this in my youth and I left the country for good. |
Okwyjesus:Meaning what? Another round of inflation! |
Minister of Economic Hardship and Frustration. Any time you see this man on the TV. If you're a Nigerian just start crying. You don't even need to hear the full details of what he is about to say ![]() |
StoryHaven:Na those ones gan gan they want to tax. They no you have dollars and pounds and are secretely eyeing your dollars and pounds. If you have any business in Nigeria that you're enjoying not paying tax on, better re-evaluate it because Tinubu the tax man wants a share of your funds. |
1. Subsidy removal - mass inflation 2. Unified Dollar exchange rate - result mass inflation 3. Fuel tax 5% coming 4. Tax ID to tax your bank account All these yet no single development. How much is Dangote and Otedola paying as tax till they acquired their billions of dollars through government nepotism from sole licenses from FG. Last last Nigerians go cry and cry. But 2027 still Tinubu will manipulate everything and win. Nothing we can do. Thank God I'm typing from abroad. Not that all these things don't affect me since I still have a lot of family and friends in Nigeria. But we can still manage small. Nigeria is cursed. Africa is cursed. Anyway Tinubu is on "working vacation" in France. We don't know which one he is doing. Whether he is working or on vacation. Anwyay Nigerians should tighten their belt till he comes back because when he comes back more taxes and more hardship will follow. |
One thing I have learnt about Nigeria and Nigerians. Never give up yourself for the Nigerian people thinking they will defend you. The people will not defend you. The court will not protect you. It's only those that have huge backup and are most lawless that reign supreme. The corrupt. The drug dealers and the thieves. This is why the country will never progress. The wicked minority are rulling the the innoccent and docile majority. May God help us. Both Senator Natasha and Fubara will never return. This I have seen. ![]() |
